- In this video, I demonstrate how to wrap a handle bar on a chainsaw with tennis racket tape. I use Wilson cushioned tape and Head non cushioned tape. You can also use baseball bat tape.
They can be found at most sporting goods store, or you can order online.

I remember seeing you do this a couple years ago. So, I tried it and it's so much nicer. I don't run saws, day in, day out, but I like that it fills my hand more, along with extra grip. I do use bike handlebar tape though, instead of tennis racket tape. Not sure which would hold up longer, but the handlebar tape is 94"x1.2".
Thanks for the video. Going to do that to mine 😎👍
This will be handy. I’ve got a ms362 and it has that plastic handles and kinda wish I got the 462 with the foam covered ones.
You can pick up a metal full wrap for the 362. Be prepared to spend $.
462 is best saw made..for daily tree work..lighter then big saws and can run 32 36 when needed..28 is perfect daliy or 24..depending on ehere you live....
I thought it was bicycle tape guys used.always wanted to try it..smaller guy so helps ..starting to like thick 5/8 rope as well
Mitch, also check out baseball bat grip wraps, especially if you want more colors
I used bat tape on the side handle. It's not cushioned, but it held up pretty good.
@@mitchzenobitrees yeah that's kind of the one downside especially if you want a fatter handle. I guess when you have baby hands like me you don't need much 😆
Thanks for the video 😃👍🏻
Thank you for watching!
My handlebar on my chainsaw hasmoved and not sitting properly
How do you fit that stock air cover on over oil filters..mine ran like crap until i put the max flow plastic cover back on..breathes nice i dremel it out to breath
Ever try road bike handlebar tape? Comes in longer rolls and the back side is sticky. Not sure how the durability compares to the racquet tape.
I haven't. I'll look into that for the next wrapping.
