The Brady siblings lose to Jan on purpose so she feels like she's good at something! #BradyBunch | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/BradyBunch
Jan dressed pretty nicely in this episode. And she's pretty. I would've told her (as her parents) not to fret if she's not super great at something right now. Give it time. Don't keep pressing to find something, it'll find you.
I remember my friends trying to drag me out of the house to play street basketball, but me wanting to stay home and watch the Brady Bunch. You had to watch things when they were on in those days or else you missed out.
They gave one to Bobby though, in that episode where he wants to win a trophy because all of his siblings have won awards. The episode is called "The Winner." He tries his hand at different things and then he ends up doing an ice cream eating contest, but doesn't win. When he gets home they give him a trophy to celebrate his trying harder than anyone else. 😅
Where's Mr. Haskill's ice cream parlour when you need it? Jan was good at her job there. And Cindy was better than anyone else at spilling the beans to the parents here about everyone deliberately losing to Jan at everything. And for a moment Jan really did start to let her ego think that she was good at something.
...I don't know why they're letting Jan 'win', on purpose....She's ALREADY won, with those ROCKIN' Red Shoes! ((👠👠)) (1:00) / (1:38) ...P.S., Howard Hughes!? ..Elizabeth Taylor!?? ...HOW old are these kids, EIGHTY!? ...ha-HAAA!! (1:32)
You don’t need to word more if you’re gonna put it in the most plural form with prettier just say she’s prettier and I’ll be honest with you. It’s close. Jan looked amazing here and it’s amazing that the cast all together I mean they went from little kids to 18-year-old I mean Greg and Jan was so young when the show started. This was the last year and I agree with you Was stunning, but Jan looks amazing here
Oh, for God's sake, the parents could have allowed the pretense to go on a little while longer as a confidence booster. I was holding my breath waiting for Cindy to spill the beans AGAIN, but amazingly, that didn't happen this time.
That's what I thought, too. I guess I remembered this episode wrong because I thought Cindy was going to blurt out something about letting Jan win while they were playing Monopoly.
Cindy did spill the beans. She told Mike and Carol that everyone was letting Jan win at everything. Until that occurred Jan really was starting to believe that she was good at everything that she was winning to the point where her ego was beginning to become inflated. Cindy did Jan a favour when she told the parents about everyone letting Jan win at everything because it saved Jan from having the inevitable fall from grace that you have whenever you think that you're a lot better at something than what you really are.
Bobby was good enough to win a spot on The Kartoon King in the ice cream eating contest, but unfortunately he wasn't good enough to finish first. I suppose you could say that Bobby had a chance to win something without the other siblings needing to let him win at something. Jan was not afforded that luxury.
*"You're a regular Howard Hughes."* They mean the ultra-rich man who in his old age lived in his own filth & wore tissue boxes on his feet. Yep! *That's Jan!* LOL JK! 🏓💸🎯
Eve actually looked better than Maureen in these later episodes. I think part of that could be due to Maureen's substance abuse, which (as I understand) had begun by then.

Jan was extremely pretty.

So I guess that means you're the only one of your friends who got brainwashed by Hollywood. Nice job.
So Jan played Ping Pong, Monopoly, Darts, all in one day with the same dress and red heels on.
she put have thought it was her lucky clothing
Well, back then, she wasn't stuck on the internet or video games.
How long do you think those games last? It probably just took them a few hours to play everything
Ping pong 10 minutes, monopoly 2 hours, and darts half hour if not less
Would have been awesome if Gerry Roger's or Doug Simpson asked Jan out in front of Marcia.
Jan was so cute. Mannerisms, appearance..everything.
Jan is so cute!
Man I kinda wish the 70s Style like what is depicted would comeback, it looks so smooth and simple, Greg's outfit @2:50 looks so good,
I agree about the styles overall and Greg’s outfit, though the shoes kinda ruin it for me.
Eve Plumb and Maureen McCormick had the prettiest hair, second only to Farrah Fawcett, of course! God rest her🙏🏼
Poor Jan😢
Eve Plumb is by far the greatest actress on this show. I always thought she was the most beautiful as well.
Jan has a fantastic body
Depending on how old you are when watching this. Being around 50 myself, I prefer something far more mature.
Dorthy Gale had her ruby slippers and Jan Brady had her red platform heels.
It was Jan's misfortune to be born before the age of the participation trophy.

And Trump's great fortune that people are dumb enough to believe he was ever an athlete at all. Lying is his only talent.
They gave Bobby a participation trophy in "The Winner". And they existed back then too. So this was just bizarrely wrong.
Ah the board game on the bedroom floor. Good times 👍👍
Notice how Jan places her left hand under Greg's wrist when he grabs her. She seemed genuinely attracted to him.
They did date .
@@hhhggg4687
No actually, she and Chris Knight dated for a short time.
@@hyacinthlynch843 that's what I said. I didn't say how long they dated . People love to seem to argue ..
Barry Williams played Greg.
Jan and Alice are my fav characters in this ❤❤❤

Wow Jan! 👌
wow, Mike's shirt looks like a dog vomited all over it.
Jan seemed yo have some self esteem issues.
Jan was a pretty young lady, she didn't have to worry about her freckles anymore

Jan's ping pong serve isn't quite legal.
Funny, that book Jan is holding, I had that same book in high school.
Funny how they portrayed Jan as a "plain Jane" in the 70's. She would be hard 8 today in the 2020's.
i think Jan is more prettier than Marcia
You're doing what the Brady kids did in this episode.

I disagree Mar IA is much prettier
She was!!!
Mo prettier…
Cindy has no filter
Except for her teeth, which filter her "s" sounds.
Kinda of Sad
Poor Jan. 😕

@@darrenmiles-morland8038 I meant, spill the beans in front of Jan. That's what Cindy would be expected to do.
Bad Parents..allow their children to wallow in Ego Fantasies. Good Parents.. tell them the Truth and encourage them to work harder.
IF the Brady Bunch were real, I would hope to be the one to win Jan’s Heart.
This was a script for 11-year-old Jan. Any girl who looked this good in the 70s would be walking around like Marcia at this point.
Jan really blossomed into a beautiful young woman
I had forgotten about these scenes and at some point while watching I just knew Cindy would give the game away, and sure enough…
Peter is always glass half full, Jan is always glass half empty.
Cindy looks very close to Cathy Coleman who played Holly Marshall on the original Land of the Lost Saturday morning tv show, doesn't she?
Jan got so hot
It’s the Southern California weather
Plot twist don’t play your siblings at something if you know you’re gonna beat them anyways
Why didn’t the other kids do this for Bobby in the 🏆 episode?
Bobby was good enough to win a spot on The Kartoon King in the ice cream eating contest, but unfortunately he wasn't good enough to finish first. I suppose you could say that Bobby had a chance to win something without the other siblings needing to let him win at something. Jan was not afforded that luxury.
Well..Jan would've had an emotional breakdown and the other siblings knew it.
bobby was the greatest pool player of all time....he beat thurston howell the third
@@jdstox1 Who came up with the excuse that there were too many chirping crickets in the background to be able to concentrate properly.
@@darrenmiles-morland8038 was it 512 packs of gum?

0:01 why does greg brady have a wedding ring on?😂

Why is she playing in her school clothes?
I think the kids plan was good. Boost her confidence until she feels better about herself and then she can win for real.
I’ve heard of Ginger or Mary Ann, but Marcia or Jan?
You've got to let the natural losers Win...or they have an emotional breakdown. Was this filmed in 2024?
