This video will cover Fortnight Battle Royale's evolution, including the many creators involved along the way. Done in a slightly different style to the usual SunnyV2 video.

I was sick the day season 4 came out and the whole day I was just playing solos in dusty depot to tell all my friends about the new features
actually i'd say this is the moment it started to go downhill from season 4 onward, but thats just me
I remember in 2018 when i first got introduced to fortnite on youtube, learned about the community, played with friends, just having a good time in general. Now the toxicity and cringiness in the community got so unbearable that i left, still played time to time but just lost touch with the community. Sad to see good games go bad

I honestly miss the simplicity of the game.

You're... Partially right. The players got more skilled and complicated when the game itself became more bland and generic.
The week by week creativity with items was unrivaled and the graphics were unique, hazy, and cartoony. Now, we rarely see new, weird items and the lighting is more harsh and realistic.

in the moment, back in seasons 1-6 we all thought of things that should be added, not focusing on how awesome the game was already as the experience was fleeting. the game started to add stupid things and then went money hungry and we started to like the game less. the game sucked and we quit. now all we can think of is the fun times we had back then when we didn't realize how incredible the game was and how bad it would soon be. i wish i could go back and relive the fun moments i had with friends when i enjoyed the game

The inventors imagined friends would work together to build epic fort like castles to raid and attack other forts for victory.
What we got was instant skyscraper builders that are used for Korean level evading.

Idk if its me, but playing shooting games like COD, Fortnite, GTA V, etc. Are starting to get boring to me. Idk if Im just burned out but I've never been so bored playing these new/updated games like I used to.

I feel like a lot of people still feel this way (me included) I know epic can’t do what I’m about to say but I feel it could bring back a lot of people. Remove turbo building and building sensitivity… it would make building much harder and would reduce the maximum skill needed to compete at a high level in terms of building at least.

Just insane that the game is so old already. I remember freshman and sophomore year of high school having such a good time playing with my friends. I’m now almost finished with my first semester of college and haven’t played Fortnite in years, but I don’t regret all the hours I put into this game, I was a young teen having fun with my friends, and most importantly, making memories I wouldn’t forget.
I enjoy seeing all the competitive ruining items and vehicles. Seeing sweats and "comp" players cry is my daily energy, my coffee in the morning, my motivation in life.

the nostalgia of coming home from school and playing with my friends will be something i’ll never forget. season 4 and season 7 are definitely my favorite seasons. it was so much fun, i made so many online friends and i played with my irl friends too.
The only time fortnite was actually bad, was around the time of mechs, if you had one, you had a good chance of winning, the pump was also removed
I spent around 1000 hours on this game and in the end every hour was worth it cause we had such a great time with them boys

This is a really good video. It did seem more like a season 1-8 fortnite history with mentions of how it was doing when the video was made, a little bit into chapter 2. Would love to see another version of this up to chapter 3.

No matter what anyone says about fortnite, we all have some good memories of playing the game. So many memories just off of the top of my head, getting scars out of chests, all of the old landing areas like lonely lodge, loot lake, list goes on.

Yeah, same. I used to play. Started in Season 5 and stopped in early chapter 2. I had the most fun in S6-S9, I was decent and the game had fun items. It feels like the game changes so quickly that you have to play every day to keep up. I hated that. So I stopped
I played from season 2 to 14 I’ve stop playing because fortnite wasn’t listening into what there community wants and they made their community make a conflict over if this game should be competitive and I was getting bored of trying to be this big sweat .
I don't know why i only played Ch1 S5 and just quit and return on Ch2 s1 and have been playing ever since.

I’ve been playing from Chapter 1 Season 5 until now. For me Battle Royale is basically unplayable for me in anything other than Squads (Squads has no SBMM), even more so since Team Rumble got ruined in my eyes. Recently I’ve gotten into Creative building and playing, as I can mess around and use my imagination to make maps. It’s also a unique experience a lot of the time as well

Stw is actually insanely good and it's really sad that Epic has basically shoved it aside and advertised it as a bonus when it really is so much more than that.
I started playing it last year and it's actually one of the best games I'd ever played. I've been gaming since 1997 which says something. Of course, the story and characters are a little cheesy, but the game itself is unlike anything else.

They don’t focus on it really anymore and epic has become so money hungry that they pushes aside what really started the game which is STW.

This hurt to watch. I used to log onto Fortnite everyday during the summer and play with my friends. I miss all of the classic items and I miss exploring all of the new POIs. It was such a wave of nostalgia. But now, my friends aren’t my friends anymore, Fortnite got old and boring, I got older, and life changed. There wasn’t a time where I was happier to be alive than while I was playing Fortnite. I miss old Fortnite, it was simple and it was simpler times. I think Fortnite will forever hold a special place in my heart no matter what.

Playground mode , tilted tower, tilted towers everywhere (exept it's made of wood,bricks and metal), a comunity of litle kids so toxic no atomic bomb in the world could match it,
And then it's a trip to hell :creative mode with even more and absurd towers making any 1v1 extremely frustrating
And now it's get good or get out - Said anybody who sweats a few swiming pools every seconds
My solution ? Here : wait two weeks after the new season is launched so you are paired with new and low-medium lvl players and have fun with a relaxed game where you are less frustrated by death Because you fully know it's your fault instead of losing to somone who plays 10 hours of creative a day rebuilding the whole map in a fraction of a second

Season 4-8 was when I played. The meteor was great and season 6 was really cool even though everyone hated the mounted guns.
I liked planes as well, they were pretty cool even if they were really unbalanced.
