What a great guest! Absolutely love Ms Bright's no-nonsense and moreover _realistic_ approach. Reminds me of the old saying: "The father of success is work, The mother is ambition, Their eldest children are common sense and character, Some of the daughters are perseverance, honesty, thoroughness, foresight, enthusiasm, and cooperation, Some of the brothers are cheerfulness, loyalty, courtesy, care, economy, sincerity, harmony, The baby is opportunity, Get along with the old man and you will do pretty well with the rest of the family."
I love how Patricia is not just saying work hard and you can achieve anything you want. She recognises that there are so many other factors that will determine someone's financial success. Loved this conversation!!
This was really uplifting. Yes, it's about asking myself the question: What do I really want? Most of the time it's not money itself, but money is needed for it.
Clicking out of this interview at 8:46 - if she doesn't believe in passions, this isn't someone I'd like to model after. She also isn't as introspective as she claims, because she'd realize that creating is her passion, something she states multiple times. If you're reading this and you have a passion, FOLLOW IT! 💙
Patricia Bright!! Ahhh just love this woman. Great interview and she is sooo honest, I love her honesty and the fact that she’s fully embraced who she is! this is the video I needed to watch post Easter holiday. Her speaking is Motivating as usual. thank you 💖💖
Great interview. I found Patricia on the Break and then her older channel. I am a money nerd and she is 100% correct, good habits and knowledge about money are the key factors but where you are born or live is huge. Sometimes you have to change where you are to change where you are going, immigration has been a huge driver of wealth because you can now have opportunities. In education, skills and even race or religion. Coming from rags literally to not having to think about money is all about putting the work in. I like your interview style and questions so new subscriber here!
I like how honest she is, most influencers aren't. Her advice is very constructive, she gives you the limitations to the means of success. And that hard work does not always equate success, there is a level luck that people need in order to become successful. She doesn't sell the illusion that everyone can be successful. I must say thanks to Ali for making this interview possible, you're literally the two influencers that I have outmost respect for. You both have emit integrity and sincerity in your content, I cannot help but tune in.
I love what Patricia says about not necessarily following your passion. My family has been very passion minded (artists! Ugh!) and we were many times on the brink of eating our shoes out of having no money for anything. Patricia is very money minded, I love it. She is SO realistic. 'Most people do that'. Thanks Patricia. We don't all come from priviledged background where there is 100% a choice. I would just put forward two things about Patricia: 1/ her mother was a good example to her, I believe she comes from a down to earth, money minded family 2/ she is from London, that's a plus too. The first point regarding family is very important👍👍👍
Wow! The past 2 months have been pivotal for me in terms of forging my mindset, aspirations and goals. Felt like this conversation was a full circle moment. Thank you Ali and Patricia.
This was so incredibly interesting, she raised so many points that i'd never previously thought influencers or rather the influencer job title encompassed. This was so entertaining and well planned, Thanks for your content Ali, I'll definitely be listening to more of these.
This topic came on my feed randomly but Patricia changed my life, the moment she said don't seat and wait do something, i went straight to my sink full of dishes, i just finished it as the video ends. 😅
Brilliant Interview. Very informative..Love Patricia, down to earth.I like the way she honestly answer your questions. Mr. Abdaal you are a natural brilliant interviewer.
Absolutely love this collab! I’ve been following Patricia since her uní days. I was surprised Ali didn’t ask about her book writing process since he’s in the thick of writing one.
Love Patricia and not saying this to throw shade or anything.. But it's very likely that she used a ghostwriter for her book. It's not unusual to do that.
@@IevaKambarovaite do you know what empire she built? When I think of an empire, i think of the Mcdonalds chain all around the world. Or owning over 100 properties. I think of people of the same calibar as Micheal Jordan, Oprah...Beyonce, Gabby Union...etc Perhaps, the use of the word "empire" was just for clickbait....cause I am not sure what she sells. I walked into a sephora and saw Jackie aina's candle products, they are epic and are sold world wide. That could become a candle empire, I get that. What exactly does patricia bright sell/do? What is the empire? She likes to talk about her story a lot, which isn't that unique if im honest. Is her story the empire?
Incredible guest selection here - never heard of her and have been converted to a full fledged fan. and Ali's questioning (and probably prior research on the guest) has gotten much better over the course of these podcasts, love to see it!
Was waiting for this full episode .. have u guys considered posting the full episodes on sundays ? Idk if im alone but love and have time on sundays to consume podcasts 🔥💯
It may be that on most weekends people don't spend time on their phones (instead they're with family, friends, church, life admin etc.) and so a video actually gets less views when released on a Sunday. I noticed this on my socials as well. Weekend posts got the least views. And Mondays got a LOT! [Just sharing my own opinion and experience anyways]
Agree 💯 I wish I could watch it like right now but I need to work 💼 if it was released on Saturday or Sunday when am not worried about work at all, I'd learn much better as there's no stress
I feel like Pat has missed the point concerning Passion & hobbies/pastime. Her explaining that she was bored and decided to create content and it made her happy, is actually her passion, and that’s what makes her money. Watching Netflix is a pastime and we all have various pastimes.
Ali I been a long term subscriber now. I can say watching you videos have been very inspiring and has helped show me what’s possible. Listening to the conversation about sharing income, I think it’s very important to do so. It’s not a flex, for people like myself it’s an eye opener on what’s possible if we can follow the blueprint
Great conversation! I loved her insight. I’ve been following her for awhile and I just adore her transparency and realness. Thanks for posting I enjoyed the entire video.
Constantly, I do questions my question myself about my identity, purpose, and listening to Patricia made me realize there's wrong with being authentic,
I started out in middle school looking for a job that would make me happy no matter how much money it paid me. I started off in fashion and I was so happy but them bills came in and my mind change or at least I thought it did. At the time what I didn't know was that I love design and not just fashion. So fast forward a few years I am still in design but I am now a logo designer and I can do this no matter at what age I am. The plus side is that there is lots of money to be made.
Patricia inspires me and is one of the reasons I am a content creator myself, love this interview segment. It's definitely doable and I'm trying to educate myself on finances and become financially free, and you and Patricia's videos help me a lot 🙏🏾
I enjoyed this conversation. I'm a South African and our education system isn't really into money lessons, I've learnt a lot from watching videos like this. I also love your channels Patricia and Ali
Aly, you are amazing videos had made tears running onto my eyes. I use to watch the videos from your first YT channel and now you are here. Congratulations man 😘🙏🏼
I'm celebrating a $4.5M stock portfolio today, I started this journey with 200k, I have invested on time and also with the right team now I have time for my family and the life ahead of me
She is such an inspiration. As someone who grew up extremely poor too to see where she is and her being so open about the struggles she feels too is so relatable. I hope I can get to her financial level so I can experience the same freedom to create.

My sister and I watched this podcast and she said, 'Patricia Bright spoke absolute sense from beginning to end!' 👍🏻

Yeah we miss this side of her personality. But I love how she has redefined her image.
