Wild thing is, imagine being like this your whole life and then once you’re able to articulate and understand it all and be what you know, it’s amazing. Hopefully this all made sense because I’m doing voice to text. Video Games. Xbox. Yo Ween. I AM. WAH
I think I've always done this, to a degree, since I was a kid without really being aware, till later life, that I was doing it. By far the most difficult thing for me used to be to just observe things without affecting those things you're observing (i.e. breathing, thoughts, etc), without judgement and to just experience them with a conscience awareness. Interestingly, I only realised I was already doing these things when I began down the path of learning about meditation some years ago, which was strange because for a long time when exploring meditation I kept questioning what it really was or did and that's because I didn't realise what I was reading/learning about was actually what I'd already been doing prior - like not seeing something that is right under your nose all along. I think maybe people who have always been extremely self aware and maybe somewhat cautious (risk aware) from a young age will understand this best and it's really just about harnessing it (meditation, mindfulness, etc ) to improve your life. Doing and understanding meditation and mindfulness have helped me greatly to understand myself better and the environment around me to the point where doing it has just become second nature and to consciously 'check out' throughout the day from being on autopilot in a world that just passes us by (if we allow it) where we end up not noticing or appreciating how amazing things around us are once we get out of being wrapped up so much in things like work, worries and our own heads, generally.
_"So when i showed this trick to Logan, he said that it works 10x better than meditation for him"_ How you phrased that sentence tells me that you dont actually know what meditation is. Meditation is both a practice and a state of being. It's a practice from the pov that, if it is done correctly, it results in a change in ones state of consciousness in a particular way that is measurable. Meditation, however, is also a state of being still, but also aware. Thus all methods that lead to meditativeness are, by definition, meditation practices... including the technique you describe in this video as being "better than meditation". lol
Hum.. these are things I do all the time. I'm ltie so I check for spiders inside, or if something happened, if there's an intruder. Outside, it's a bit the same. I always walk barefoot inside, to feel the surface. But, all that is meditation, being aware of your surroundings, and yourself. So, "This Weird Trick Works 10x Better Than Meditation" makes me wonder if you know what meditation really is. After all it is not a "trick" but just meditation.

Thank you. I found that when we get agitated in real life, it can be a struggle to “artificially” try to calm down.
This is literally meditation dude lmao
