Had my 450D from 2008, Great Photos, kit lens will not last, it is prone to autofocus failure.
I changed the lens & get great results, why buy a fancy camera with all the bells & whistles, this does the Job, still in 2021

Got two, one infrared converted for infrared photography, the other for general photography, bought them a few years ago, both for a similar price $150 give or take. They do the job and I get pretty nice photos, the lens that come with the camera however is pretty hopeless for night time photography especially photographing stars, too hard to get the focus spot on and 99% of the time I get out of focus images!
Oh wow, I didn't even think of infrared photography. They are really good cameras and they are very durable. I've had mine for years now and it has never let me down. Yes I think the lens that comes with it is more well rounded for the average consumer, but it would have been nice to have a better lens, especially with the prices now going so high for camera lenses. It's more expensive than the camera itself. You do star photography? That's so interesting. I don't think this camera is the perfect fit for that tho, a lot of cameras still struggle with low light, even high end ones. Sadly it is only a photography Camera, you cannot shoot videos with it.
