I love how the "antagonist" of this episode wasn't even in the wrong this time. He got the land fairly (or unfairly since Stan cheated the finger game). He even sounded genuinely concerned when he asked what happened to Stan's 20k. Rusty didnt even rub his wealth in stans face since he never talked about it. He only did it when he caught on that Stan was being a jerk
I like that he says those fingers represent eleven, then he uses the same gesture at the end when he's asking for two of something. It's a subtle joke and I only got it the second time I watched this.
+William Hartnell The main joke in the scene is that he's saying that the gesture represents eleven when both he and the viewer know it's two. The 'jello shots' part is more subtle, and adds to the joke because Stan is basically showing to the other characters in the scene that he's lying, and it shows how little he cares about what his brother thinks of him.
Ed Asner really hits us all with his hilarity.... especially with this funny scene that reminds me of his role as Mr. Wuncler from the Boondocks... may God be with him...
Their grandpa reminds me of my late grandma. She wasn't as bad as this guy, but she wasn't exactly sweet every hour of the day. But she almost made it to 92 and still had a very sound mind until the end. I just thank God we didn't lose her to damn COVID and she wasn't restrained to a hospital bed
Is it really a cutaway tho? It’s a flashback that relates to the plot of the episode. Not some random nonsense that has nothing to do with anything like in Family guy.
I mean there’s a lot you can do with 20 k, stocks bonds, crypto, investing in a business venture you feel can be profitable. Even if he wasn’t “rich as a bitch”; he’d still be living his best life. Instead, he lost it being wreckless. Bad Stan!
That's Ed Asner, isn't it?I bet once he realized the truth about the "crap land" in the afterlife, he decided to go (insert appropriately mean joke here that's classic American Dad).
@@ineedabreak6063 that’s because Stan was a jealous prick and stole his half-brother’s house right from under him. He had every right to be mad at Stan. We’d see more of Rusty if Stan wasn't such a douche.
@@ladiekiler16 I still wish Rusty had forgiven Stan after seeing that he learned his lesson. Francine reconciled with her sister Gwen, Stan should do the same with Rusty.
Rusty and his family should return in a future episode to seek his promise of vengeance against Stan and the rest of the Smith family. I feel like the episode started a quest for vengeance that will come to conclusion one day in a future episode.
It's weird, on Comedy Central in my country they play South Park in the middle of the day with all the swearing in tact but they censor American Dad and Family Guy which sucks coz I like those shows
What's insane is I have a family member who was a very wealthy native american who lived on the edge of the grand canyon and his name was Rusty. I'm not even kidding 😂
The Amazing Metalhead that's why it's censored. Because people are free to think about what the word is. They can censor a word like sock and your mind will go anywhere
Even tho stand and his family don't make millions every year like his native half brother he still has a good life with a beautiful wife and kids and a large 2 story house and nice cars. Kinda hate how he takes it all for granted.
I love that cartoons are a refuge from the real world of swearing, sex, violence and bad morals. That's why when this world gets me down I watch Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, Boondocks, Drawn Together, Black Dynamite, Archer etc. These bring me back to a cleaner time with no vulgarity.
To be honest if i was in this position and i knew how much land it was i would have picked it in an instant because its obvious that dirt land would contain something such as oil minerals etc.
Just to clarify , do Stan and rusty have the same father , because I can see jack hooking up with some Indian babe and having rusty , but I don't recall jack ever mentioning rusty in his appearances so how did Stan and rusty know about each other?
Stan's father probably cheated and had a one time fling which resulted in Rusty's conception. It's not entirely explained, but their paths and relationship must've eventually crossed.
And guess what Stan did with that 20 grand. He lost it. Not in stocks or bonds. He just lost it. On the bus
ShinobiPXO Nope the old fashion show way.
ShinobiPXO I saw the episode
This is probably my favourite line in the whole show. It absolutely floored me.
that's exactly what would happen to me, i'm not even joking
I bet Rusty would have invested the 20 grand in stocks and bonds. And still be rich
