    The opening sounds like a chorus of Kazoo's. Then a Bag-pipe like instrument takes over for a while. Then enters the castrati, to lick our ears with those amazing tones! Love it!

    Magnifique, on est plongé dans l'époque et son atmosphère. Ce serait encore mieux s'il y avait des sous-titres pour les paroles. Même en parlant français, on a du mal à comprendre.

    Great music ! The Dark Middle Ages were certainly not as dark as usually thought ! They were also a lot less prude than nowadays America. I see a peeping tom there at 25:00 and what is that at 34:00? Something that could not be shown on TV channels! or it would have stars all over it! And these are church parts... haha! We had a good laugh. Thanks again!

    Beautiful songs! O Pórtico da Glória da Catedral de Santiago de Compostela tem esculturas fantásticas de músicos e seus instrumentos. Queira-se ou não, esta é a face musical da cultura-base do que se chama 'Civilização Ocidental' (baseada no Direito romano, na Moral judaico-cristã e na Filosofia grega). Uma civilização sob intenso e feroz ataque. RISE, o West! Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil

      @@MusicaMedievale how come there is no attack?! All christian/western civilization values were and are condemned by modern global culture, including it's history. Unfortunately, you are wrong.

      @MusicaMedievale  3 роки тому +1

      @@OOlympus Everything that does not change, in the end it breaks down. History teaches this well. The Church of today knows this, and in fact it is changing. The alternative would be its definitive destruction.

    • @OOlympus
      @OOlympus 3 роки тому +1

      @@MusicaMedievale where did you get that from? What you are saying is the opposite of the Catholic doctrine. The Church never changed and never will.
      The medieval Christian (and the classic paganism) mindset believed in the eternal; aimed for it. Actually, the very term "classic" means timeless.
      Our societies, however, changed too much in a short period of time, achieving only chaos. Chaos in art, architecture, law, religion, philosophy, music et caetera... Modern means "today" (hoc diem). And this ideology was condemned by the Church by the Pope St. Pious X.

This channel (Musica Medievale) is a wonderful source of uploads of full albums; if you click the avatar under the video you will see them all. If you are searching specifically for more music on the lines of this album, Spotify has another five by the same ensemble, La Maurache.
