Best concert I've ever been to. Lollapalooza 2 at Irvine Meadows in '92. They headlined and didn't disappoint when they came out with only socks on, and not on their feet. This is the one that pulled me in and their whole catalog was just as good. Blood Sugar Sex Magic was an awesome album.
God, I miss the 90s
1995, working nights on my own in a tarmac lab, twice a night this used to come on on the radio. I'm an old hippie but this absolutely tickled my ivories. I'd stop what I was doing and just sit and listen. And maybe cry a bit.
All I would ask you to do is please don't follow track suggestions from the comments section. Every other reactor has ended up listening to the same radio top 5 tracks, but it means that your reactions are no different to the other 100 reactors. The Chili Peppers have a huge amount of tracks to choose from and most of them are A++ excelllent. Start from the album that this song is from Blood Sugar Sex Magik then gradually work your way up chronologically, all of the albums up to the most recent ones (in my opinion) are excellent, not only because the songs are written and performed well but the stories behind many of them are equally inspiring to hear and the 4 members of this band are my favourite people in the world.
Just discovered you two. I love that you’re just discovering my favorite band in the world. A few Chili Pepper songs that I would suggest are: “Slow Cheetah”, “Hard to Concentrate” and“Power of Equality”. Enjoy and keep up the great work.
Soul to Squeeze, Snow, Fight Like A Brave are great songs.

Every track on the album is great. Flea always gets the mention and well deserved. But John Frusciante on guitar is amazing. Anthony made it through his addiction to heroin and that is what the song is about

This song felt like a big departure from their earlier singles. It really surprised me when I listened to Blood Sugar Sex Magik. Knock Me Down from Mother's Milk or Give it Away from BSSM would be a good contrast.
