I was so sad when you shaved at the halfway mark man. That thing banged. I cannot wait to shoot Cinestill 400D man, it seems to handle over exposure so damn well! You guys definitely got some bangers, love that guy with the guitar in the subway-sheesh what a shot! Also, love the shots of the Frank Lloyd Houses man, didn't even know about those-they are so damn dope!
Haha the mustache will definitely make a return! The magnum P.I. Look is so fun in the summer! Also it does! Handle over exposure pretty well! But not quite as well as Portra or gold 200 I find. I think I’ll stick to 1 stop over next time I shoot it! The guitar guy was so cool too. And Frank Lloyd wright designed soooo many buildings! I really want to visit as many as I can and photograph them when I have the opportunity

Excellent work, and it's great to see how 400D behaves with that much over-exposure. I just got an order of it this past Friday and this gives me plenty of ideas of what I want to shoot and how I want to expose it.
@@ReimannPembrokei have a question. Did you guys tell the lab that you shot the film 1 stop overexposed or did the lab just develop the film at 400iso? Great video btw!!
I thought I was watching a reimann pembroke video and then all of a sudden ron swanson comes on :D mighty mustache! 400D looks so tasty. Of course you have to shoot the bean in chicago :D 10:50 looks really really good. :O Your buddy ethan took also really nice shots.
I went to central camera last year on a similar trip, and was supreme disappointed. It's an uncomfortably linear store, w/ a poor selection and tourist trap prices that'd make Disney blush. $20 for a disposable camera, and were charging 6 times market price for a Yashica electro. There are many greater shops in the Midwest area.
Central camera is a very skinny store which is pretty uncomfortable, but I think that’s because they had a fire in the other half of there space. I was really impressed with the huge film selection and the people working there were very helpful! And I have always found that buying cameras at stores like that is much more expensive because they have been tested, fixed, and usually come with a pretty solid warranty
Hey Reimann, I watch all your stuff but this one looked like a lot of work to put together and had a great vibe. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on some 400D to try myself. It looks like it casts a bit blue during the day but those night shots were fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Hey thanks man! It was a ton of work for sure! It does seem to cast a bit blue in the sun, but I think it looks pretty good! I love the way it performed at night and in overcast conditions! I hope you get some good use from it when you get your hands on some

Given that the film probably started life as a ISO 250 movie film, I can appreciate why one of the guys would shoot it at "one stop over", but I'm at a loss, and no reason was given, to shoot it at 2 -3 stops over its 400 rating, getting the expected blown highlights and general loss of high tone detail. One of those "just because I can" moments?
Yeah I just wanted to test the flexibility of the film. It seems to not handle that much over exposure quite as well as more standard color negative films

@@nt_gaming4652 we develop the film ourselves. We didn’t pull or push process the film. We just wanted to see how it would handle overexposure
