Whoever makes this film for you has got it on the spot !! The colors are rich and the latitude seems to be nice and wide. I want to get some of the 120 and shoot it with my Noblex panorama and other medium format cameras. I'm really impressed. I'm VERY interested in the 220 size you're working on too !!!
Nice! Working on a UA-cam video from a 3 day trip along the Oregon coast using only CineStill 400D with a Hasselblad 500c/m! Currently developing them and loving the results! So excited to share and thank you for making this happen!
Looking at its image results, most people immediately jump to the conclusion that it is Vision 3 250D stripped of its remjet and repackaged by Cinestill. Not a hard leap, as that is exactly what Cinestill has done in the past with its other color film. Then Cinestill comes out with the statement that 400D is not 250D stripped, but a whole new film, and offers no more insight into the matter. The film is obviously intended to have a remjet anti-halation and it does not (it "blooms exactly like 800T), so is it a film from another unidentified supplier? It's not like the world has more than two or three options. Is it a non-Kodak movie film stripped of its remjet? Is it Vision 3 250D delivered by Kodak without its remjet, this not "stripped" by Cinestill? Is it new film manufactured by Cinestill as it implies? (That one is easy. Certainly not, as Cinestill does not manufacture most of what it sells, and certainly has no technical capacity to coat film.) So, why all of the mystery from Cinestill? Maybe its just to ramp up on-line chatter as an alternative to an advertising budget. Cinestill claims that 400D is specifically designed for C-41 processing, but they made the same claim for 800T until until the world called "bullshit". If you think Kodak is making one-off runs of 250D master rolls for Cinestill with a modified color balance to optimize C-41 processing, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn you'll want to buy. So why the pointless mystery? Well, we're talking about it aren't we?
Its 250D without remjet, special order from Kodak. Of course it scans good and overexposes well Vision 3 was designed for that. I personally will never shoot any Cinestill. Vision 3 looks like shit without its anti-halation layer. There's a reason to why its on there.
6:39 ... no, guys, like this: ua-cam.com/video/GpPEKdJjcEQ/v-deo.html I admit this technique won't help with the Leica's accursed "rapid not-loading" system (which always works perfectly except when it really counts) but it would help with the Nikon...
hi Alex, we are aware of other films that use similar descriptors as us, but they are not all the same. The process that went into creating 400D is different from anything else on the market. You can read a little more about that here: help.cinestillfilm.com/hc/en-us/articles/5077764900877-What-film-is-400D-based-on-

Looks very similar to some of the older Fuji stocks, nothing bad about it, just maybe....nothing to write home about?

Man, it looks so much fun shooting film. I really miss it.
I can't wait for this to be released officially.
@12:18 that was a great shot with the lady's jersey/jacket contrasting with the zebra crossing lines
I'm amazed of how much color it is able to render from the sky!! Films usually can't handle it
Quick load system in m6 mate! Stop lining up the sprockets, don’t need to! Lol looks like fun guys!
it wouldn’t be a grainydays feature without the infamous tripod power stance
Omg I love the highlight red halo. One thing I love most about Cinestill 800T is coming to 400D!
Nice shooting, the Hasselblad is beautiful camera. Thanks for sharing

To me the section of Jason an Linus is equivalent to a Deadpool Spider-Man crossover film. An ya know what I needed that.
Cool guys hold hands when they walk.
My boy Jason loading that leica like a preschool macaroni project
Amazing shot !!
There is no doubt 400D is the real deal! I am in Australia and waiting impatiently.
The Brothers Wright have some unique gear! Never knew you could tilt shirt on 120
Looks like a very nice film for outdoors, nice to see what it’s like in a studio for a all day catalog shoot about 30 to 40 rolls?
Banger
love new 400D. I should have ordered large format as well (as I recently started large format..).
I need it in France quickly 💯💯
Thanks for taking us along :D
Greetings from germany (and the Schneider pronounciation was almost 100% on point ;)
Those Nike Air - Griffey's...Great pair of shoes.

What camera is this?
When is 4x5 being released? It was supposed to be February
I love shooting film and I love shooting street. But I would be bummed to have so many misses.
a wild Jason appears!
Is cinestill gonna sell pro packs of it?
This film looks great! Are you going to make this available in 100' rolls?
at this time, it will only be available for retail in 135, 120, and 4x5 formats
4x5 test ??

How do they both look like Peter McKinnon only in a different way?
Bet ya can't make the outro photos go even faster.

Still waiting on my 400D. Guess I wasn't as early bird as I thought. Hurry up guys, there are gas stations in Ohio going undocumented as I wait.
Same here.
So heavy edited colours!!!
Watching Jason load that m6 was painful. Shame. Shame.
Linus seems so disinterested. :X
Someone needs to show these guys a mirrorless camera
