The Last of Us Part II begins and ends with a shot of a guitar. In this essay, I look at the symbolic power of the guitar in the game, and consider how the music played on the instrument reflects and enhances the story being told. 'If I ever were to lose you, I'd surely lose myself'.

ellie being unable to play future days at the end broke me in a way no game movie or book ever has
No other gsme series has effected me more than The Last of Us 1 and 2. These games are perfect in my eyes. The story, music, graphics, everything. Their perfect.
The lyrics of take on me also represents the situation off Ellie, when she sings “I’ll be gone, in a day or two” representing that she will leave Seattle, and also herself, because of all the violent acts she did, she lost her humanity
a lot of people didn't like the game, but holy fuck it was so good.
Gustavo Santaolalla's music is incredible. Never fails to give me feels.

It's amazing how music is the core of the game, how they portrayed both the story, the relationship and emotions through it. Also love how the original score impersonates a dark and seemingly hopeless tone, even though I think it could had been used more. What a piece of art.
Unrelated to that, I've just stumbled upon the channel and the work you do is so incredible and relevant. Definitely gonna keep an eye out for more.

That last time Ellie plays guitar is heartbreaking to me. Not only did Abby take away Joel, but she took away Ellie's ability to play the song Joel taught her - One of Ellie's biggest connections to Joel. And Ellie will have to live with that. But the fact that she chooses to live with it is what gives me hope at the end of the game. She moves on. She lays Joel to rest, emotionally. She's ready for what's to come.

there is a theory that ellie doesn't lose dyna, because in the last scene she has her bracelet, but i'm not sure at all.
