This is such a great sauce! I made it to go with dinner and my husband’s response, when asked if it was good or not, was “I think you can quit your day job, with a sauce like this”. 😂
Haha that’s high praise! Thanks for sharing, Brittney!
Made this today, it blows the doors off of most Mexican food restaurants green sauces, creamy and flavorful with the perfect amount of heat. 5 Stars, Thank you!

Wow this looks delicious! Can't wait to make it!
Thanks so much!
Oh my goodness! Thank you! You’ve gained a follower! This is exactly what I was looking for…I’ve seen a lot of green salsa recipes and have made many batches of green salsa and could never get them to taste just like the ones from the taco trucks. You highlighted ALL the things I was doing wrong-the type of oregano, I was adding dairy, I used olive oil, I used white onions! All the recipes I saw used avocados and tomatillos and so it would always come out thicker than I’d like so I’d add more milk or water sometimes. So thank you! Can’t wait to try this today!
I’m so happy you found the recipe you’ve been searching high and low for! Thanks so much for the kind words and double thanks for subscribing. Let me know what you think of the sauce when you give it a go!
Thank you so much. I've wanted this sauce for the longest time. Thank you.

6/12/2023 Little late to the party here .... like by 2 years ... but just made this just as described..... including the Mexican oregano and cilantro. It is wonderful! Probably one of the best UA-cam recipes I've come across. In spite of the jalapeños (I thought it would be hot) ..... it's mild and full of flavor. Thank you Outdoor Indoor Texan!
Never too late to add your two cents. Thanks so much for leaving the feedback! It makes my day to hear it. People often think the jalapeños are going to be killer but it turns out surprisingly mild.
Well done my frnd. Your creamy green jalapeno salsa looks absolutely scrumptious. Keep up the good work. 😁😀😎
Thanks so much!
Yay, Green Sauce, thank you!

We got hooked on the green sauce from our local taqueria and have been trying to recreate it, this is PERFECT! It's great on tacos, of course, but we make it for EGGS. You have not enjoyed eggs properly until you use this green sauce on it, just incredible. Thanks for the recipe sir!
I haven’t tried it on eggs so I’m definitely giving that a go. Thanks for watching, Nell!
I've been trying to figure out what, "That amazing green sauce," was for so long. Thanks so much! It's my favorite sauce in the world!

Thank you! Let me know if there’s anything other recipe you’ve been missing or searching for. Happy to help.
If you like more heat I mix half and half serrano and jalapeno.
Also my co workers form mexico use more oil in the pan and then use that oil in the blender rather than add more neutral oil. I have not tried that yet
Made this today, delicious. Thanks. Darlington, South Carolina
I'm so happy you like it! Thanks for watching and thanks for leaving the kind feedback.
That looks good brother definitely going to have to try it myself. Thank you for the recipe.

This recipe rocks! Definitely roast the peppers & garlic on the grill. Thank you for this awesomeness!!!
Absolutely! Thanks for watching and leaving the kind comment. (Roasting over a fire/grill always wins in my book)
I modified your recipe slightly and it was delicious. I used 4oz of Jalopenos along with 4oz of an Anaheim chile. Everything else was the same. WOW! Thanks for posting the video.
Thanks so much for sharing your feedback, and tweak, Steve! Half the fun is hearing how folks play with the recipe to make it their own. Enjoy!
I just made this sauce & let me tell you too bomb! It taste like no other salsa I’ve ever made ☺️ I made it without the cilantro (bcuz Hubby’s not a fan of it) & it still came it 🔥Thank u for sharing your recipe, I will definitely be making it again 💯
Thank you so much for leaving the feedback! I love hearing it! Enjoy and tell your friends.
Tried this last night and it was absolute 🔥. Loved it. Mine didn't seem as creamy as this one but was still creamy and delicious. Might have been the ninja blender I used. I will pull my traditional blender out next time I make it. This will be my go-to salsa from now on. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for leaving the comment, Kevin! You may have needed a touch more oil to get that creamy result, or like you said, it might be the blender. Hopefully it’ll figure itself out as you continue to make it. Thanks for watching and report back!
Heck yeah, looks good that's one way i make mine sauce.👍
It's such a great and simple sauce to throw together. Thanks for watching!
Definitely going to make this today, thank you so very much

Wow! Made this up and it's outstanding! Didn't have any Mexican Oregano (on order with Amazon) so that's not in there. This is as good if not better than anything I've ever eaten out or got from a store. This will be a regular like the pickled red onions. Thanks for sharing cause this is amazing...
I love hearing it! Thanks so much for sharing your feedback. It made my night.
Thanks so much for this recipe. I made it yesterday but the jalapenos were not hot so I added a couple of green chillies.
Love it
Thanks for watching and thanks so much for circling back! I love hearing the feedback.
Love this recipe, and I have all the ingredients except for Mexican oregano, I may have to order that one, haven’t heard of it before. Great easy and I bet delicious recipe, I’ll let you know when I make it 😊👏👏👏
Awesome, please do! Mexican oregano is a completely different plant from Oregano. It's a cool one to have in the spice drawer.
Fantastic recipe
Thanks so much!
This looks yum…I love green sauce from the local taqueria but they never give me enough lol… I will certainly try this recipe out, thanks!
Thanks, Kimberly! You now can roll up to the taco truck with your own bottle lol Let me know what you think and thanks again for watching!
I love a variation of this which uses habanero. I love both of these sauces

@@outdoorindoortexan my pleasure, of course, I will
I've had many versions of this sauce and have never had a bad one. Thanks for sharing yours. I fry my vegetables in the oil and add some tomatillos too. So long as you cook the onion, white and red are preferred by me. I usually cook the garlic to mellow it out a bit, but raw is good too. Try a scoop of chicken bouillon next time. So good!
Thanks for all this! I’m definitely going to try the chicken bouillon next time.
Agreed on the garlic
I’m cooking carnitas in my crockpot and about to blend this recipe up to go w it. I’m super excited!!
Oooh I love carnitas! Let me know how it turns out!
@@outdoorindoortexan it was amazing on the carnitas last night !! The only issue is when I pulled it out today to use for breakfast is was incredibly thick. Not sure what I did. Should I just add a little water or?
Happy to hear the feedback! As far as today’s problem, the sauce thickens up and/or separated when it sits in the fridge. Leave it out to warm up try it then maybe with a quick whisk. If still thick, you can always blend it again. Should be back to normal.
I just subscribed, Drew. Supporting my friends from UA-cam Cooking Creators! I see that you like grilling and the salsa that you made here looks good on the steak.
Thanks so much!
Using this for sashimi sauce, people love it 😊

-Whats the shelf life of this sauce?
It’ll stay fresh for about a week, but you could possibly push it further. There’s also freezing option. The other thing to look out for is that the sauce may settle over a few days and you’d have to whip it back together.
Bro! I tried it. It was soooo good!!!
Thanks, Charlie! I love hearing it. Enjoy and tell your friends.
Can't wait to try this my jalepenos are starting to come in
Report back! Thanks so much for watching.
Outstanding! I'll be making that with venison backstrap tonight. Thanks!
Awesome to hear! Let me know how it turns out. I haven’t tried it on venison yet but I bet it’ll be great
Great recipe!!! I was nervous because I used jalapenos I vaccuum sealed and froze from the garden... it came out great, even the color was spot on (which I wasn't sure about since the peppers were frozen). Definitely making again!!

Definitely a keeper for a great mild sauce. This stuff is beautiful if I made any change it might be substituting the salt for a chicken broth. Nice job man thanks. I'm heading back into the kitchen for more..
Thanks so much for watching! Also I love the chicken broth idea!
What about lime juice?
Yay or Nay...
@@gussygatlin3093
Always looked at it as a preserving agent. I don't mind the flavor it gives personally I think it takes a little bite out of the peppers too. I just think it allows the salsa to last longer when in the fridge. If you have a lot of people it probably won't last.
Nice job
Thank you!
