Interesting video. Thank you for taking the time to research on this and share the story. On 5:39- The women's bubble pipe is called "Incelwa" and is pronounced as '"In-tshe-lwa" if you use IsiNdebele.
Snakes are a universal symbol for the Kundalini Energy. Nyami Nyami symbolizes Kundalini. The reason the locals say he dis-appeared since the start of the colonization is because the ancient tradition that teached how to manifest this energy in ritual context was cut short like many other traditions. If you guys still have Shamans over there, it is possible that some of them still managed to keep the tradition alive.
I struck up these names to my parents and apparently there was a time they chased one of them with a helicopter even and he still managed to disappear on a hilltop 🙌🏾. The whole thing was legit a living movie.
Thanks Amanda for the research ,,,,that's the real Zambezi history which has no distortion ,,,unlike some people who are lying to the world saying Nyami nyami is a Shona spirit yet it is very far from Shona spirit,Nyami nyami is Tonga , Zambezi is Tonga ,,, keep it up
I once worked in the Tonga area Called Mola for 3yrs. I asked on of the chiefs there about the mystery of the nyami nyami and he said He himself didn't see it bt his father did. He said there was drought in the area then one day the fisherman in the Zambezi saw what looks like an island. Since they knew the waters very well, they were very certain that at that area there was no island. They went to ask from the spirit mediums and were told that it was the Nyami nyami that has come to give them food. They were told to go and cut it's body for meat. They were also instructed not to use axes bt knives only. The villagers cut the meat and when they come the next day they found the Nyami nyami without any sign of being cut before. They took meat for 5 days and it disappeared. It is said the meat tastes different from each each day
Chai nawao so it is true my grandmother told me a story of a fish called insikabayishiye in ndebele she said that the fish would come out and live its head in the water and pple would cut meat from it until the head is left then it goes back in the water and grow again
Thanks Amanda for the information, just to add a few comments on to your channel. The name Kariba is actually a variation the name Karuva. Karuva was one of the sons of Dzivaguru, the great ansestors of the Shona and Venda people. On their journey from the great lakes Dzivaguru could not travel down further and was buried in the Mavhuradonha mountains-the reason why the Dzivaguru rain spirits are prevalent in the area. Of his sons, Karuva also remained in the region and his sons formed part of what are the Tonga and Tavara people, a minority people today but it's another chapter for another day. So Kariba comes after Karuva which again connects with the great Dzivaguru, marine related
This may have occured yes because during that time and there were strong spiritual links people did strictly obeyed protocol fasting and doing ceremonial cleansing of flesh and spirit before doing the rituals to appease these 'entities etc. They invested their all in spiritual things. The mordern generation is different and are mostly no longer invested in these acts. The beliefs and practices are different and this has minimised exposure to such mysteries. People are more Christian running away from these practices and only a minority still practice, so these mysterious spirits are less active. The consequences are real and dire .
The serpent that talks is real, he can be seen spiritually and he is worshipped by many. Even though he is hiding he will reveal himself soon when his wife is killed by angelic beings. He is way bigger now than most people think. The final battle will be epic and only the King of kings Yeshua can stop him.
