- Merauder w/ Minus on vocals (10/20/93) Cat Club NYC
Great footage of Minus-fronted Merauder replete with some ruckus in the pit during "Life is Pain". Billy Biohazard introducing the set. Classic.
Minus - Vocals, Sob - Guitar, Anthony Muccini - Guitar, Rick Lopez - Bass , Vinnie Vitale - Drums
Directed by Drew Stone - Розваги
Amazing. When I was a teenager back then I wanted to be in this band so bad. I really miss SOB a lot. I learned so much from him. Rest in peace big brother. Thanks so much for sharing this Drew!
Heavy fucking band. Only recently discovered them but Master Killer is one of my favorite albums
They sound SO good here. Hard as nails.
Minus equally devastating on stage and in the pit. Sob R.I.P., man.
I went to Pershing JHS with Minus and he was always hilarious, Sob lived three blocks away. Sunset Park for Life.
fantastic.thanx for the upload
Hell yesssss!!!! Thank you , Drew! Long day at work and to see this, is great! Western Massachusetts's. # 1 Merauder fan is loving it! !!
That shit is so pure. Big ups for posting this. Gotta love Minus
Such a bad ass set. Brings back great memories when being at Merauder shows. Thank u bro. Much respect. NYHC LIVES!!!
Ive been recently watching videos n listening to the merauder demos w minus and now you upload this jaja crazy.. awesome footage and awesone channel. Respect 🇲🇽
THIS IS AWESOME!! Been hoping for this since you first posted the life is pain clip
Ah man!
This brings back memories of Giant Studio rehearsal days when both our bands rehearsed there.
RIP SOB.
Thanks for this. Coming in to see shows from PA, I think I only saw Merauder twice around this timeframe (once New Year's at L'Amour w/ Biohazard, the other with Leeway & Warzone at Limelight). They were great. I remember thinking Minus was one of the wildest front men in the scene. He came across as real before "keepin' it real" was a scene catch phrase.
I only wish the sound was cleaner. But, looks like VHS limitations. Great camera work for a single camera limitation. I like this style better than the camera switching every few seconds anyway.
Sick thanks Drew
Pinnacle of the band
Really cool to hear earlier versions of those songs (and unreleased stuff too).
Life is Pain 🤌🏽
Sob rip 🙏🏾❤️
New York metal was so recognizable the sound and the riffs were unique. Rip sob.
Rip sob
Indeed he was Real
rest well Sob
Minus was the real deal..merauder was never the same without him. Then the loss of SOB. Some of that master killer stuff was decent. But way too metal like. This was the true Hardcore. , RIP SOB miss ya brother.
The real Merauder !
Great no doubt. Jorge is great too Sob my friend rip love that mfer
idk dude I think minus said the band needed heavier vocals
Epic
This is tight. My best friend is Puerto Rican and we grew up going to hardcore shows. Cool to see the representation of different people in the hardcore scene.
Plus, Merauder with Minus (or Jorge!) is always so dope.
Get it Minus!... I guess I need to call you, drinks on me, superstar!
atta boy fellas!
I was good friends with SOB back in the day I meet him one day at the pizzeria on 8th street before his life as a skinhead I told him if he was going to hang out in the Village just to be cool we talked a lot he was a great guy . Saw them a few times
Was friends with the band.
Awesome guy agreed. Left a mark
@@skinheadyouth66 yup
10:55 Freddy Madball in the pit facing the camera, right ?
I think that's actually the brother of the guy from Crown of Thornz who got in the fight during the filming of the 1995 NYHC documentary (the brother got into it with someone in the pit and they almost stopped the show)
@@redacted5035 Could be him also indeed :)
RIP SOB, I helped him carry his rig upstairs to Valentines in Albany, he was so humble and thankful..btw is that Billy from Biohazard announcing them?
That’s not Minus. He’s not in his boxers and wearing fluorescent spray painted sneakers 😉
NYC DARK CORE
This is so pure maaan the essence of underground right here, the fucking realness, and also excellent instrument sound just perfect !!! fuck nowadays trendy bullshit videoclip bands sponsored by monster and similliar shit...
Billy Bio with the intro?
yes
@@djabthrash hey bro, what thrash you like/into , oldschool 80's thrasher here , thanks > tom !

So this is the minus everyone talks about?
Yes.
@@stonefilmsnyc I don’t really know much about the guy. Info please!
@@Thebassguru84 watch
@@skinheadyouth66 "WaTcH" this video doesn't tell you anything about Minus Rodriguez' history
@@Thebassguru84 Marco "Minus" Rodriguez og member along with Javier “SOB” Carpio. They and many of the fellas in the NYHC scene during the late 80s especially the heavily Latino/thug influenced side of it had uhhh let's call it a "temper" which lead to some notorious stories and moments, often violent
Is this the same Minus everyone in interviews say is their favorite pit dancer?
Yes.
The Only One Minus !
Not sure why he’s everyone’s favorite pit dancer. He seemed like a voice of reason here but years later sucker punched a buddy of mine who stepped in between an FSU guy that had his fist raised to a girl.
@@user-fx1mz7pm8q what year was that
