the best shopping list ever ,thank you
I know it’s been highly requested, so I hope you enjoy finally seeing my art book collection 😊
This is a true collection.
Wow and I thought that I have a lot of art books. Well I’m off to buy some interesting art books. Thanks
I love this. I'm a reader first and everything else second . (art, gardening, cooking) so my personal definition is that I'm officially interested in something when I've purchased at least 5 books on the subject. Plus, of course, the things I just like to read. 📚
Can you please write a list out of each of the books you mentioned in this video as this would be very helpful for those of us who are interested in them?
That would be alot of work for her😊
You can also pause when she shows the covers
Wonderful collection 😍
Woww... amazing books! 😍
Very interesting collection
Awesome collection! :) Art book collecting is addicting. I like the pop-culture, video game collection you have for inspiration in addition to the "how to" books.😍😀
👏👏👏 Enjoyed it a lot, thanks.
Such a pretty collection!
If you’re interested in portraits you might want to check this book out: how to paint portraits in pastels by joe singer. It’s a very old book but it has loads of great info on portraits
i only have 13 art books so far! but ill get there someday :)) art books are so addicting!!
A painting is worth a thousand words.
Here are my 3 favorite art books:
- Understanding Art by Lois Fichner-Rathus
- Works of Wonder by Michael Whelan
- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
Awesome collection you have there; so much fun watching this video! Thank you so much for sharing :D)
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Thank you for the speed and the brevity of description. I really appreciate that. As for the Anatomy for the Artist? Come on, really - we are adults and those who can’t handle it can just close their eyes!
OH MY GOD. I am drooling. So many books I now have to get now! (I cried when I looked up the art of journey) This is a stunning collection and you have gained a new sub! haha
This is such an amazing collection!
Love the book drawing on the right side of the brain really helped me years ago as I was really stuck
this is my dream collection of art books.I have only 4 books as of now
Gosh, you've reminded me to look into getting at least one book by Alphonse Mucha. It's easy to see why so many artists today are influenced and inspired by his style. Your DK books are quite nostalgic for me, I loved their one-subject science and history books of the 90s. Taschen is kind of like the DK of the now, and even their little pocket book sized books are lovely.
Thank you! Amazing collection, i got several ideas of things to look for. I absolutely love when people show their book collections, especially art related books. My art book collection is nowhere near as big, but it is starting to take over our book case. Regarding Alien, did you see the pre-order for the 40th anniversary release in October? It's called Alien: 40 Years 40 Artists.
Sheeeesh, your bookshelf contents are so dope! I love it!
Unlucky me, some books are either not available in PH or not shipping to PH (amazon) 😥😥
Nice dust catchers collection :p
Thanks SS.
Lots of books.
Can you please tell a beginner how to go about from beginner intermediate to advanced using which books one should get at each stage.
Are we looking at about 8years of regular art work to learn painting .
This is so cool!!
Thanks!
When going through the "Journey" book you were saying that you don't know if there are other books with augmented reality. It just happens that you have another book with augmented reality in your collection, it's the one by Scott Robertson, "How to draw".
Ahhhh! I can’t believe I never realized that! Thanks so much for pointing it out!
Wow, it's so amazing 😘😘
Thanks!
W.O.W! You sure do have an amazing collection 😍 Thanks for sharing, I found some gems I added to my wishlist :) (also subscribed now! 👍😄)

Thank you so much for sharing such inspirational and informative content. You might also be interested to collect Art of Horizon Zero Dawn which has character design sketches of Aloy by Loish.
I think its pronounced soomee-eh
Cause the I in japanese い is pronounce ee and the E letter え is pronounced eh
loove watching these types of videos, deffo saw some good ones I've got on my wishlist now haha. I did go look for the journey book though and uhhhhh nvm :') (a new one on amazon is 1,230.99 dollars atm lmao)
😨 Thanks for letting me know I need to take extra good care of it lol
Where did you bought all of the ghibli's art books? Especially the storyboards.
The storyboard books were from a local art book store that always imported them from Japan. Your best bet would probably be to look online for them now. I’ve had them for quite a few years so I’m not sure how easy they would be to find now. The other art books are fairly readily available in book stores/Amazon. Again the only difficulty you might run into there would be how old some of them are for availability. The Laputa and Mononoke ones definitely came out within the last few years though. Good luck with your search!
hahaha we have the same type of taste for artbooks
Do you really read all those books or you just collect them?
You can't have too many art books, but my wife doesn't believe me
If you've read all of these books, you deserve a PhD from the university
i was lile D: bc u skipped over all the avatar art books
Sadly the "the Art of Journey by Matthew Nava" so nowhere to be found :(
😁
Very interesting collection
