Dagan from PMT Newcastle and Ross from Line 6 sit down to discuss the new Line 6 Helix LT Multi Effects Processor. In this demo, we find out the differences between the Line 6 Helix and the more compact Helix LT model and discover all the new features that allow you to operate your unit quickly and easily on the fly.
We find out how to use the effects loop and 4 cable method, add trails functions to delays via the loops, stack pedals and change up presets to your specifications.
Not only is the Line 6 Helix LT a great multi effects processor, but its also an impressive amplifier modeller. In this demo we also discover how the Line 6 Helix LT utilises HX Modeling technology. This not only replicates the sound of your favourite tube amps but captures the true essence of those amplifiers via component modelling to allow realistic response designed to interact with your playing like the original models. One of the best helix demo videos
I actually prefer the look of the LT. I thought the original wasn’t very sleek looking compared to some other products. This solves that silly problem of ascetics. I don’t need all the crazy I/O of the original. This LT seems perfect for me. Has all the stuff that makes Helix what it is without the thing I won’t use.
Nice overview. Would have enjoyed some more actual tones/sound samples and how good it can get. There's a bit of criticism out there about the stock tones and how tones can be greatly improved with IRs from the right sources. Maybe next video on the Helix there could be demonstrations of great IRs? Just a suggestion.

Guys, nice and relaxed overview of the Helix LT. Quick question: can you use the Variax guitar with a wireless system so there is no cable on a stage? Cheers, Ian.
as far as i know.. yes. but use helix to control variax (or vice versa) in wireless.. no.
I actually went through the process of asking Line 6 about this. The short answer is no. Unless you run from the VDI cable you basicly have to still DIY. And it would appear they have no immediate plans of adapting the hardware and software to be able to do this. I think it would be a good investment on Line 6s' part, but in the end they will get to it when they can seems to be the way they are going on this
Can we set different sets of effects on every snapshot? For example on my snapshot 1, I have tube screamer, and on 2nd snapshot, I remove the tube screamer on the sets of effects and replace it with any distortion on 2nd snapshot. Can we do this?
