Hello, thanks for your videos. I also have a Skoda Fabia 2005 model car. I watch your videos in my free time. I'm wondering about something. Why is there a line on the mirror? There is the same line in my mirror too.

Sorry, I haven't got access to a manual one. I would first take off the wing mirror fully with the adjuster and then squirt penetrating fluid onto all the moving parts, cable connections etc, then clean oil and try to work it loose bit by bit. I'm sure that is what I did on one many years ago on a different car; worked for me :-)
Hi. I got a problem with heated mirrors. They don't work at all. I check the fuse but its ok. I order new heating plates and soon will change it. like always your tutorial is very helpful. Greetings from Poland.
@@HatBoyHarvey Hi again. I manage to replace both mirrors but it was very hard to remove old one. I suppose that no one never change it before. But "mission is complete". Working great ,much better than factory parts. :) One more time thank you.
Hello Harvey. I thought youd be a good person to ask about the Fabia as you seem very knowledgeable with it. Do you know how to fix the issue where there is no sound for the indicators or open doors when lights left on etc. Is it a relay that it fixable easily. Thank you
I've just looked for this and it seems to be emanating from inside the instrument binnacle. I just looked at my video on this and it looks as though the speaker is on the PCB board. ua-cam.com/video/rEqad2PR0Lg/v-deo.html 6:45 Top right, round black thing with grills in it. Hope this helps :-)
Check fuses then test to see if there is a current at the wires to the glass. Thoroughly clean the inside of the glass gently and repair any breaks with a specialist conductance paint or replace the glass/switch. :-)
If you are replacing the whole mirror casing then no, as it detaches from inside the car. If you are doing a repair on the inside then the glass needs removing.
I could do with repainting my covers and I knew you'd have made a video helpful to me! Thanks HBH!
Thanks, glad to have helped :-)
Great instructive video as always. You help me to keep my Fab Vrs on the road. Many thanks.
Thanks, my pleasure :-)
Brilliant .. many thanks. Has given me the confidence to do it myself.
You CAN do it, so go for it, best of luck my friend :-)
Thanks for posting this guide - easy to follow and very informative!

The mirror is slit into 2 parts with one being a blind spot mirror ;-)
Great! I'm glad you uploaded this video. I was going to use my fingers, now I know there's a better way
Thank you
You're welcome. Most of the time they do come off with just fingers, but not always it seems! :-)

@@HatBoyHarvey ua-cam.com/video/8HNDc3DmEpU/v-deo.html I meant that. Thank you.
hi, the rear window heater does not work. can you help me

I’ve managed to crack the back casing of the mirror on a bollard. Does the glass have to come out in order remove this?
If you are replacing the whole mirror casing then no, as it detaches from inside the car. If you are doing a repair on the inside then the glass needs removing.
