Asajj ventress did have a pair of curved bladed lightsabers given by dooku that could combine to make a dual bladed lightsaber...until obi wan cut it in half probably fusing that connection making it unusable for awhile atleast.

Lightsaber colors do have a part in the lightsaber universe like blue is for the less force users and more of the lightsaber fighting and green is for more of the strong force users than dueling with a lightsaber

If you played Star Wars Galaxies before and unlocked Jedi , there was a pretty in depth lightsaber customization as well. You'll craft your lightsaber, choose your hilt/color crystal and even add Krayt pearls for additional damage.
With how good this game plays and the customisation of the lightsaber it makes me excited to see what they could do with a sequel game, more styles of lightsaber, different fighting styles, new force powers etc

I've never been there do they have the emitter of Jaro Tapal or an emitter that loods like it? I know I am late with this question and it sounds weird but I really want know.
Useful tip: the double-blade mode has a nifty interaction when redirecting blaster fire. If you time it for a parry to send the blast back at the firing trooper, Cal will auto-parry all blockable blaster bolts that follow shortly after the manually parried shot. Don't know if it works the same for melee parries.
you always auto-parry when holding the parry button
however you don't get the option to strike back and it will lower your parry "health" bar

@@rymikai he's talking about the perfect parry, which automatically REFLECTS enemy blaster fire back at the shooter, not simply holding the block button, which DEFLECTS blaster fire away from Cal.
Btw OP, it does not work for Melee, you have to manually press for each strike.
I love how Respawn modeled the Lightsaber customization in Jedi: Fallen Order after the Lightsaber crafting in Savi’s Workshop at Galaxy’s Edge, as well as how Disney has canonized Cal in Savi’s Workshop. It’s just little things like that make all Star Wars content feel connected.
Later in the game once you have your own lightsaber(currently you use your master's) you can customize each side and use dual sabers(with force)

I loved customization in this game. Got even better after you could have different emitters in front and back! Favorit colour is cyan for sure!
In the pre-order I also got a full umbaran and mygeeto campaign customisation. They really helped with shaping my personal lightsaber.

You can actually get the double bladed lightsaber as early as Bogana on Eno Cordovas work bench.
And this is much easier to achieve during the early game compared to Dathomir. Dathomir is TOUGH!

Only other thing I want more from this game is different outfit options other than just color swaps. Force Unleashed style cosmetic options along with a red (and I'm selfishly also wanting white) lightsaber and this game would be perfect.

Look at Asajj Ventress. She has one. But she can disconnect it and fight dual or single if she wishes. That's possibly the est lightsaber since it allows you to have multiple saber styles. I hope Fallen Order will have a dual fighting style. Some people like two weapons. If not oh well. But it's nice to hope and dream right. Fallen Order is looking better and better.

You should never tie upgrades to cosmetics. What if the most powerful thing you really need is ugly? Even if it’s cool to most people some people will find it ugly and not want to use it, but if it’s a powerful and important item that sucks. They made the decision to have all of these cosmetic choices, making each of them have different statistics would just overcomplicate things and I think it would have completely changed and messed up the balancing of the game
several of the lightsaber parts from galaxy's edge are in the game power and control for example is one of the lightsaber building sets at savi's work shop

In the EU the Red Saber is synthetic and can generate a stronger blade then traditional Jedi lightsabers. The Synthetic crystal blades can sometimes break the blades of natural ones. The draw backs are they are harder to handle.
I always liked that Explanation the best. Not really a big Fan of the whole "bleeding Crystal" Thing.

You can change the strength of a lightsaber. For example for when younglings have just entered training they are given weaker sabres that will only give you serious burns instead of cutting off your limbs.

Deranathon Arkantos671 Crap content? And please tell me how I’m constantly signaling that it’s okay? When Battlefront 2 came out I deleted it after a week, simply because of the loot box ordeal. I don’t mind micro transactions for cosmetic items, but when they’re pay to win, that’s when a problem arises. So don’t come at me for stating that I’d like to see something that would end up making me enjoy the game even more.
@@secretshotgunape832 well said battlefront 2 is legit a great game now bcs there are no loot boxes and that's bcs the devs listened. And you can tell that EA learned from those mistakes and made a GREAT game in fallen order.
There's also something cool about light saber colours if your on ps4 the light on the controller changes depending on what colour your saber is

Lightsabers have shadows, you can see they do in Luke is vader in episode 6, although it's obviously just the stick in the saber before effects I suppose it just makes it cannon that they cast a shadow. That being said, I praise the attention to detail
It would still cast a shadow since lightsabers would still block light.
The blade is plasma, not light.
I actually finished the story but I don't yet have everything unlocked, for the lightsaber especially. And I actually love the looks of my lightsaber as of right now and I only have half of the stuff for it. I'm really excited to get the rest and see what ultimate looking saber I can make and possibly make myself one in real life too either through galaxy's edge, ultrasabers, or my own metal lathe and forge.
looking at this video and just recently playing the game myself. i can tell you without a doubt that the entire game has been changed . i played on the easiest difficulty first so i can know where to go, what to do and then come back on a harder difficulty to compare the times and other factors i play with. on the easiest difficulty the 2 bladed sabe was nerfed so bad in damage that its basically useless. the only up side to getting the doubled bladed saber is later in the game you can get the dual wield ability which does cause a lot of damage but also cost force points.

I'm hoping you can dual wield. I don't know how that would work story-wise, but dual wielding is my favorite style of combat in most games.
BadAssMutha006 just finished the game and the only dual welding is for a short period of time during an attack that you unlock late in the game
There is kind of. Just as Amazing Gamer said. Technical there is the option, but only after a hours. Furthermore the dual wielding is a special attack like the saber throw. The attack pattern of this two hit combo depends on the blade you have equipped when attacking. Meaning that if you have only one blade activated it is different from the attack you do when using the double blade

Battle Front 2? That was never a single player experience in the true sense. They just lifted their multiplayer mechanics and shoved that into the single player campaign. A jarring mess.
This game (Fallen order) however is built from the ground up in a single player environment.

I feel like they missed a huge opportunity here. I'm grateful for the customizations but I feel like the various components should influence Blocking, parrying, maneuverability(handling), force drain etc. This game is incredibly difficult and being able to tweak your saber to match your playstyle instead of being forced to adapt to the incredibly unforgiving parry system would have made this game far more accessible and enjoyable. I still love the game and am glad that an EA product is this polished but if there's a sequel I want to see this implemented.

Andrew. There are light sabers that have different strength properties but it was because of who it was built for. Chewbacca has a nephew who becomes a Jedi. Because if his strength and raw physical power he had to use bronze instead of a Chrystal in his light saber. It did make it easier for him to use and it did make the blade stronger
