I just caused an absolute shitstorm at my university today because I decided to speak up against the transgender movement with a transgender person in the class. I've been challenging the viewpoints throughout the semester but it got to a breaking point today. Surprisingly, one person approached me today after class, gave me a fist bump and said "you made some really good points man." That little interaction filled me with confidence moving forward because there truly are people who are fearful to speak up.
The women of the world need the men to support and affirm their femininity. Honestly, as a wife and mother myself, I found myself so grateful for how Matt Walsh frankly advocated for women and the singular, honorable position they hold in the universe. We need more of this.
You're right that men need to support women. But, at the moment, all we hear from women is what trash we are. God didn't create one sex, he created two, and we should be working together, supporting each other. These 'people' have done a pretty good job of pulling us apart.
I don't know why should we protect groups instead of just individuals. But these speakers are not true authorities on the issue. In terms of recommendations for gender complementarians (or orthodox teachings on gender) ACTUALLY read JP II, theologian Angela Franks, Ivan Illich, and philosopher Tomas Bogardus are good starts. For trans thinkers, try Judith Butler, moral theologian Katie Grimes, PhilosophyTube, and Sophie Grace-Chappell. Let’s attempt to refute the STRONGEST forms of trans-ideology(s), not the weakest.

I think it is important to make a distinction here, because I always hear this argument over strategy framed as though you should or shouldn’t be blunt and aggressive. Aside from prudence discerning when to be blunt and when one shouldn’t, there is nothing wrong with blunt and aggressive. The problem comes in when the bluntness is accompanied by contempt and condescension. Being blunt and straight, even aggressively so, isn’t necessarily a problem; mocking someone to humiliate and demean them out of contempt for them is, since the former can be done in charity but the latter cannot. The truth should always be accompanied by charity and never by a contempt for the other person (which isn’t the same as contempt for their actions).
My problem is with the hypocrisy. Who do catholics think they are to be telling people that their sexuality is wrong? You can act all philosophical and intelligent but we all know who you are. You are fooling nobody but yourselves.

I don't think anyone hates transgender people--even someone like Dylan Mulvaney. What we hate is their mind set that the world conform to them, their way of thinking, speaking and doing. When you misgender a person, we hate that they throw a tantrum and act like an infant who's been denied a cookie. When someone says something to me that I don't agree with, I just think to myself "That person is a jerk." and I get on with my life. I don't know that person well enough to care what they have to say. Trans people have all the legal rights EVERYONE has. What they want are special rights. There's this woman named Kristina Maione, and she's very popular on the internet. She's a huge transgender supporter, and she gives good reasons why transgender women should be allowed in women spaces, and why them being allowed in women spaces isn't going to cause problems for cis women.
You are the one that wants everyone else to conform to your worldview. Why is it so difficult to be respectful to others and how they wish to be treated? Pronouns are such a simple way to express your respect for others. It costs you nothing. Trans people just want to allowed to live their lives - what gives you the right to decide for others how they should live?
We went to our local Lenten fish fry at the Knights of Columbus hall. They had an ad for a an upcoming fundraiser a ”Men’s Fashion Show”. With pictures on the post of men dressed up as women. It said the fundraiser would benefit a local children’s charity Christmas event. I couldn’t believe it. The “fashion show” is scheduled on the evening before Passion Sunday.

Respectfully, I disagree with Michael Knowles. Whatever impact Dylan's acting career had on his sanity, his own mother is far more responsible for her son's confusion. Dylan Mulvaney's mother dressed him as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz as a little boy. I.e. She dressed her son in a blue dress, ruby slippers, and braided pigtails. There are photos of this online and he appears no older than 10. He also was put in dance classes with all girls. Yes, boys can dance, but when they are wearing glimmering shirts and effeminately dancing and giggling with a group of all girls, you may want to pull back, right? She knew exactly what she was doing. She was the adult. There is also a photo of him as a toddler wearing high heels. And who took the photo and were proud as peacocks? His parents, we can presume. Who changed the subject when he announced that he actually had some attraction to girls? His mother. (He said this nonchalantly in a tik tok.) The reason I do sometimes feel sorry for him is because I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a little boy to grow up feeling that the more effeminate he is, the more his mother loves him and is proud of him. His own mother literally encouraged and primed him to be gay. He's been on the same trajectory since he was 2... effeminate, then queer, then nonbinary, then identifying as a woman, then medically "transitioning" into a woman. He will hit a brick wall at some point when he realizes he still isn't fulfilled and can't go any further. If he wants to deal with reality, he will have to deal with the fact that his parents harmed him on an extremely deep level. I think he lives in a state of cognitive dissonance that he's not ready to discuss yet. None of this gives him an excuse to advocate for this perversion or suck others into it. I love your show Matt. I love Michael and Matt Walsh. I happen to disagree with Michael in this aspect; in that I think Dylan is a narcissist. As many theatrical gay people are very extroverted and love putting themselves on display because they love the attention. I do think he is obviously very misguided and pitiable.

I agree. I did love Michael’s discussion of Streetcar Naned Desire as an example of the old school acting and the new school acting up against each other but I suspect that Dylan Mulvaney is more a victim of ego than of confusion.
I think it is important to make a distinction here, because I always hear this argument over strategy framed as though you should or shouldn’t be blunt and aggressive. Aside from prudence discerning when to be blunt and when one shouldn’t, there is nothing wrong with blunt and aggressive. The problem comes in when the bluntness is accompanied by contempt and condescension. Being blunt and straight, even aggressively so, isn’t necessarily a problem; mocking someone to humiliate and demean them out of contempt for them is, since the former can be done in charity but the latter cannot. The truth should always be accompanied by charity and never by a contempt for the other person (which isn’t the same as contempt for their actions).
My problem is with the hypocrisy. Who do catholics think they are to be telling people that their sexuality is wrong? You can act all philosophical and intelligent but we all know who you are. You are fooling nobody but yourselves.

As a choir member, "preaching to the choir" reminds me of these:
* You get cues from the choir director about what to do next
* You don't pay attention to what was going on 50+% of the time - a lot of us talk in the majority of the church service
* You follow what you rehearsed

I don't think anyone hates transgender people--even someone like Dylan Mulvaney. What we hate is their mind set that the world conform to them, their way of thinking, speaking and doing. When you misgender a person, we hate that they throw a tantrum and act like an infant who's been denied a cookie. When someone says something to me that I don't agree with, I just think to myself "That person is a jerk." and I get on with my life. I don't know that person well enough to care what they have to say. Trans people have all the legal rights EVERYONE has. What they want are special rights. Rights like making it illegal for people to use certain language. That's ridiculous particularly in a country like America that guarantees us the constitutional right to free speech. As long as I'm not saying things like "Transgender people deserve to be beaten or killed." I think saying I disagree with your insistence that I use their pronouns is a far cry from hate speech.
There's this woman named Kristina Maione, and she's very popular on the internet. She's a huge transgender supporter, and she gives good reasons why transgender women should be allowed in women spaces, and why them being allowed in women spaces isn't going to cause problems for cis women.
You are the one that wants everyone else to conform to your worldview. Why is it so difficult to be respectful to others and how they wish to be treated? Pronouns are such a simple way to express your respect for others. It costs you nothing. Trans people just want to allowed to live their lives - what gives you the right to decide for others how they should live?
We went to our local Lenten fish fry at the Knights of Columbus hall. They had an ad for a an upcoming fundraiser a ”Men’s Fashion Show”. With pictures on the post of men dressed up as women. It said the fundraiser would benefit a local children’s charity Christmas event. I couldn’t believe it. The “fashion show” is scheduled on the evening before Passion Sunday.

This morning I sent an email to a state level Knight and his wife. My biggest thought on it all, as a lifelong Catholic, is that when red flags come up, people step forward to “complain”. And then they are gaslit. Later it turns out there is an abuser of some sort in the mix.

I respect that this is my first viewing of this interview and at this point they're already all sloshed.
I respect Matt Walsh’s work and agree with him on most moral issues (except maybe the death penalty). I’m a traditional Catholic who follows the views of the Church, but I worry that you, and more generally people hyper-involved in politics, may be too worried about shouting down people with the truth, than showing people loving mercy. I agree that we need truth during times like this, but we also all need mercy. Jesus did not stand up for the woman at the well because the Pharisees and scribes were wrong to say that prostitution is bad. He did it because they cared more about using truth as a weapon to lord over her than to actually love and hope for transformation of her heart. Am I wrong to be concerned that we conservatives may be the Pharisees in this story?

Respectfully, I disagree with Michael Knowles. Whatever impact Dylan's acting career had on his sanity, his own mother is far more responsible for her son's confusion. Dylan Mulvaney's mother dressed him as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz as a little boy. I.e. She dressed her son in a blue dress, ruby slippers, and braided pigtails. There are photos of this online and he appears no older than 10. He also was put in dance classes with all girls. Yes, boys can dance, but when they are wearing glimmering shirts and effeminately dancing and giggling with a group of all girls, you may want to pull back, right? She knew exactly what she was doing. She was the adult. There is also a photo of him as a toddler wearing high heels. And who took the photo and were proud as peacocks? His parents, we can presume. Who changed the subject when he announced that he actually had some attraction to girls? His mother. (He said this nonchalantly in a tik tok.) The reason I do sometimes feel sorry for him is because I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a little boy to grow up feeling that the more effeminate he is, the more his mother loves him and is proud of him. His own mother literally encouraged and primed him to be gay. He's been on the same trajectory since he was 2... effeminate, then queer, then nonbinary, then identifying as a woman, then medically "transitioning" into a woman. He will hit a brick wall at some point when he realizes he still isn't fulfilled and can't go any further. If he wants to deal with reality, he will have to deal with the fact that his parents harmed him on an extremely deep level. I think he lives in a state of cognitive dissonance that he's not ready to discuss yet. None of this gives him an excuse to advocate for this perversion or suck others into it. But let's learn from the context. It is truly horrible. God have mercy.
