  • Alcohol consumption has fallen slightly in OECD countries over the past twenty years. But young people and women are drinking more. Alcohol is becoming more easily available, more affordable and advertised more effectively, but there are hidden costs. Alcohol takes many direct and indirect tolls on our society, from traffic accidents to extra healthcare costs. The OECD presents four measures to greatly reduce alcohol's damage on individuals and society.
