    Hi Jessie. While you were cleaning, and you were talking about your different plans for your home, I decided my guest bathroom needed some help with decor and, of course, extra cleaning. Not anything crazy but I went on Amazon and ordered a few things. Sometimes, a girl just needs a change. Lol. Your guest bathroom always looks so pretty and neat. I like that.

    Amazon has a Frywall splatter guard for pots, or try using a larger pot when you make the potatoes or rice, and when you bake chicken use one of the cooking bags, the meat will get so tender and mess is minimal.

    Try putting a one inch layer right under the rim of the pot all the way around of butter or Pam or olive oil. That’s supposed to keep it from boiling over. It’s worth a try. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

    For the cooktop, when you are ready to replace it I strongly recommend GE Profile. I never had a boil-over when I had my gas stove from them. It was always a gentle rolling boil. The only other thing I can think of to prevent boiling over is using a larger pot? Not sure how much it would help, but it’s an idea

      Thank you for the recommendation! Even on low the flame is still really high on this one. Getting a simmer is harder to do it always goes full boil. I'm grateful for one that works though as when we moved in the old one only had 1 working burner.

    Hi Jessie 😊. I love the view from your kitchen window. The 10lb bag of chicken definitely goes along way. Jessie, have you thought about putting your kitchen garbage can in one of your cabinets that you can pull out? Thank you for the motivation. I had the same floor when we bought our house and I hated it. I get it. Thankfully last year we changed it. Keep up the great work 💪👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.

      We do have a pullout that we put the recycling in. I don't like pullout for the garbage as it gets gross in my house with my heathens. We had a pullout in my last house and I hated cleaning around it. 🙃

    I did the same with a Myers bottle but after 6 yrs it finally gave out & wouldn't come out anymore. Thoughg cap was clogged but nothing worked. Went to Walmart & bought a small condiment bottle for 1.29 & it works fine.
    I put a spoon over mine, maybe use a bigger pan & not fill it any more than necessary, just cover the item, no more than necessary with liquid. I never have a boil over & I've used gas & electric over my 56 yrs of cooking. Good luck.
    Love watching your channel ❤❤

    H Jessie! Sprinkle Preen not your rocks and water on. It should be pretty heavily. It is a game changer. You may have a few weeds here and there but nothing as you would without 😊

    Great motivation! My windows are awful and so tempted to clean them with you, but still too cold here. Hope Phil the groundhog is right about an early spring.
    I'm a fan of uncarpeted stairs. Can be a bit slippery with thick socks, but bare feet, thin socks or my favorite indoor crocs are fine. Much easier to keep clean. Especially with pet fur.
    I have a gas stove too and when boiling pasta, potatoes, etc., I go for a bigger pot and watch it like a hawk. Just lifting up the pot settles the bubbles, then I lower the flame a bit. I've tried the wooden spoon with mixed results. I have wondered if there is a way to re-set the burner settings so they more accurately reflect the knob settings.
    With your kitchen floor, have you considered a rug? They make really beautiful washable ones now. Wondering if one at your work area may make you feel happier about the grout and texture issues being hidden.
    Love your channel! You always motivate me to get off my butt and do something, or just take a break and watch you be so super productive. 😁
    Thank you!

      Thank you so much !! I do want a fatigue mat in the work section because my feet hurt on the tiles. That'll help cover up some of the floor.

    Hi jess, I have a similar tile floor in my kitchen. I use my carpet, shampoo machine my Bissell on my kitchen floor and it does an amazing job. I put some oxy a little bit of bleach and some Mr. clean and super hot water and my floor looks gorgeous, might want to try that.

    Hey Jessie. Have you ever tried sealing the grout after you have bleached it? I’m wondering if it would do better if grout is sealed?😊

    • @JessieLifestyleAtHome
      @JessieLifestyleAtHome  6 місяців тому

      Yes! Did that after I deep cleaned it for the first time after moving in but it is 20 years old at this point.

    Thanks Jessie! Great video. Question: Do you still love the black in your bathroom? I put a black fawcet on the sink and black on the mirror - much like yours, and on the lights above the mirror, toilet paper roll thingy, etc. but my goodness, they do show the dust! Probably no more dust than silver things but it shows up more. Still love it though! Going to do my tub/shower area over and want to put the black on the faucets and shower in there too. just need to dust more I guess 😄

    • @JessieLifestyleAtHome
      @JessieLifestyleAtHome  6 місяців тому +1

      The toilet paper dust is crazy! I do love the black though! I'm going to put it in the master bathroom too. I saw the best at looking clean is the brushed nickel. I had that in first house and it "looked" clean all the time vs water spots on chrome and dust on the black.

    • @JessieLifestyleAtHome
      @JessieLifestyleAtHome  6 місяців тому +1

      I got it on wayfair! It is so comfy! All the kids fight over which one gets the recliner when we watch a movie 🤣 It is a shorter/ smaller one (more a nursery size) swivels, rocks, and reclines. www.wayfair.com/baby-kids/pdp/mack-milo-abingdon-upholstered-swivel-reclining-glider-w005062358.html
