    Seen Mr.Prem kumar roaming on Tenkasi roads in a two wheeler during late 2021 I guess. I don't exactly remember the year or month. I was in my native and he was roaming around like a localite. Probably he was writing Meiyalagan back then. I saw him and told my wife that is Director of 96. I don't want to stop him or interrupt him, let him be that unknown wanderer who is searching for something 😊

    Matured director. Lives to his wish. Never bothers about others. Very open. Heart becomes light when we see such interviews.. His voice, narration, his humility - everything is awesome.. Will watch all his favourite movies..

    I like Mr C Premkumar’s thought process. Very matured approach. Learnt a lot. Wishing him all the best. If the upcoming Meiyazhagan clicks for me I’ll be an eternal follower of his films. Amidst the ongoing overdose of caste or mass cinemas, I hope his movie will give us “engaging focus and satisfaction” Tamil films got a good director in the lineup of Sridhar, Mahendran, Mani Ratnam etc.

      2000 years of caste oppression is an what you call an overdose. 😅

      @@MrYWNAi support caste oppression movies too, its the need of the hour but we need good entertainment too, becoz our life is already bad and I went into deeper depression becoz of those. We need a balance but star studed movies nowadays r not so good. Last i saw viswasam, sarkar, not after that. So these feel good movies coming in different perspective is also good. Realistic feel good movies. We had karthik movies in 90s, now its vacant. We need both. We shouldn't always come out crying. I remember laughing for a ghost movie in darling and pizza is a twist. Naduvula konjam pakatha kanom, soothu kavum etc..

    • @skvijaysampath
      @skvijaysampath Місяць тому +1

      @@MrYWNABrother I’ve watched movies from all the generations from 1950s till date. If the oppression is 2000 years old there is not much films on caste during early 50s, 60s, 70s. I guess caste oppression movies started only from 80s that too slowly. So should we say older directors are not aware of caste oppression and only recent people are aware of it? Personally I’m one of the person in FDFS of Pa Ranjith’s debut film. Creators like Pa Ranjith, Mari Selvaraj are capable of more. I really enjoyed Sarpatta Parambarai of Pa Ranjith it didn’t have much caste dose. See the response of C Premkumar. A good film is something which makes you engaging and should take you towards growth / positivity and not envy or hatred.
      Hope you understand..

That was the beginning, beginning of knowing that she also loved him, in the same wave length, thinking of him, missing him, want to 👀 SEE him, want to have a conversation with him etc. Pure ❤️ love. No strings attached, no physical touch, just the presence and love& kindness. A beautiful feeling.
    It started on the day she left back to Singapore

    I watched in theatre but to see what was trimmed down / cut, sorry to the film team, I saw the pirated version. The scenes elaborating the state of Karthi in first Maattu Pongal after Jallikkattu ban & Karthi pouring his heart out in the dam were little drawn out but still stayed relevant. I think most of the people missed out the emotional aspect of that... the rebel Jallikattu scene in which even the policeman plays "ஏறுதழுவுதல்", the conversation at the dam shows how Karthi is empathising for Eelam Tamils, those who died in Sterlite protest - he is aware of things that happen around him, he is not ignorant (அறிவிலி). Despite knowing all the injustice around him, he retains his innocence (அப்பாவி). Since those scenes are cut, people think Karthi is an innocent villager who lives within the well without exposure to literature & surroundings. I just hope that these scenes are retained in the OTT version.

    I disagree with what the director said about infidelity! It is wrong if ram and jaanu had been physical, maybe the practical world now has normalized , but 96 earned this cult respect because the innocence in their skl days was maintained even after so many years. If something physical happened ppl wouldn’t have loved ram and jaanu the way they love now,

    6:49 this was one dialogue I was awestruck.. i got the same director’s answer when I watched the movie for first time..what a definition. People might have sub consciously connected with this one dialogue.

      @@bhu2208Exactly. People who have past relationship buried inside. But currently have a happy little family kids. But still each and everyone out there would’ve imagined avanga Namma life la iruntha Epdi irunthurukkum. But we cannot describe this feeling. This director easily put that in words so every one were like, yes aama la.. correct.

    Nowadays it's not love it's just lust
    Nothing lasts for more then 3 months
    I felt great love. When she looked at me. Its gave a literal electric shock. It was unbelievable. I cannot still forget. I don't think I would have felt it that deep if I was part of this generation. It would be more like let's hang out. Then eventually come to house and do it. Then just look for another girl etc. that's how it is these days. I would rather simply pay for someone and do it. Atleast it helps them financially. But love is different from lust. Not many people, including br would understand this perspective
