Art meets Technicality meets Photography meets Psychology in this one. Very engaging and insightful. BR starts off as an interviewer and ends up as a friend.
What an amazing interview. The first part of the interview started out with the director being closed and responding with a filter. As the conversation progresses, Baddy's intrigue towards his craft makes Premkumar comfortable and be more open. You can see the entire interview evolving towards a heartwarming conclusion. Just WOW... Best wishes, Premkumar sir for Meiyazhagan. I'll be watching the movie just because of this interview. And Baddy - please do an interview like this with Aravind Swamy sir.
Premkumar is smiling and genuinely happy answering BR. BR is smiling and genuinely happy discussing films and thoughts with Premkumar. I am smiling and genuinely happy watching this interview and the thought process of two men who enjoy their respective crafts 🙂
Now its clear why 96 is a poetry that is read again and again! It will be great to meet Prem. And the place where Bharadwaj says you are a nature photographer was a gem and exactly how I felt. Well done.
Very nice Interview after a while... Prem has some mesmerizing magic in him that reflects in his personality and his film as well.. Good Luck to the film
BR’s articulation of theory about the interviewed person is class! 25:15 Mr C Premkumar is enjoying. And yes.. Deep inside a creation the shade of creator will be rooted somewhere strong. If we see mani ratnam sir movie we can feel the “struggle for expressing one’s heart or feelings”
I watched this C premkumar's interview yesterday morning and Meiyazhagan yesterday afternoon. And after watching Meiyazhagan, i re watched 96 again yesterday night, and i re watched this C premkumar Sir's interview again today. Yeah, the difference is he made me adding a Sir after his name today. Great admiration and Huge respect on your work sir 👏👍
Thanks BR and Prem sir for this beautiful Interview!❤ It's so personal to Me. In photography conversations i feel connected with him well, because i am trying to be a photographer and i see lot of Beautiful frames in my regular life with my eyes it's wow feel.
Hello, baddie sir. I started watching this video to calm myself, thanks to the pressure of my project review. Just like Prem Kumar sir's thought process on filmmaking, this interview has also panned out beautifully and realistically, even though your set of questions seems to be the same as before (at least to my knowledge). The way this whole two-part interview unfolded has revived my creativity and level of thinking, helping me finish my project PPT tonight. Thanks to both of you!
It’s a delight to watch a happy, smiling BR. His smile is so good and that perfect round face always makes my heart warm.❤❤ Seeing and hearing him in one of these special interviews (this definitely is one of the good) always brings smile to my face.
Only an interviewer like BR can unearth the thought processes behind the working style of a genius director like Premkumar & only a director like Premkumar can mesmerize BR and transform his intrigue into a Eureka moment of discovering a new perspective on cinema and film - making. For the enchanted viewers, it was a privilege to watch the magic unfolding in the conversation between the two gentlemen.
Oh my god..This man is PremKumar is just so simple yet with mind blowing clarity and talent ...and Baradhwaj ..equally kept the show interesting...THIS IS WHAT IS CALLED AN INTERVIEW...thanks to both❤
I have felt Mr Rangan wants to be seen as a unique and brilliant interviewer having seen many of his discussions. But today, I felt he just enjoys his profession and that comes through in his interviews , much like how Mr Prem comes across here. So, a wonderful interview is the outcome .
Love this interview. Bharadwaj Rangan your knowledge and research on your subject is incredible!! The way you bring out the best from the person you interview is a masterclass!!
No words to express how interesting and self explanatory Baddy kudos to you and Respect to the Director how clear he is in his thoughts and I have seen the film with hall full packed audience and people broke into tears and till the end everyone are the edge of the seat untill he bangs the door of hero’s house…
I rarely see bharadwaj sir enjoying interviewing someone, that happened in this interview, The director has a great perspective towards all the crafts of cinema, i found his view very fresh, eagerly waiting to watch meiyazaghan in theaters. Thank you so much for the interview and also I heard them talking about few of my favourite films Pursuit of happiness, Karate Kid and my favourite Director David Fincher. I enjoyed watching the interview and the great investment of time.
Great conversation 👌❤️, been a while seeing a long interview of a director. This man - Prem Kumar just with his first film is evident that he is a special filmmaker and he is here to stay, hope Meiazhagan too is a good end product, loved his unique insights about films and the making
Pasting my comment from the Part 1 Video as it is the same video, posted as 2 parts for economical reasons. Amazing video. It is treat watching Premkumar speak and Baddy has a way to make people feel themselves. I was able to feel his love for the things he does ( I was like him watching the King Cobra ). Only a man who loves his life and life itself could speak like this and make a movie like 96!
One small request sir, when you are interviewing directors like prem as an audience and cinema lover we were waiting to see what perspective about a scene or ideology he will bring to table when you are doing interview. So if you do interviews mix in english and tamil it would so good for other language audience like us. Hope you consider this request
Reason for watching Baddy interview is for the last question It's really very helpful for all budding film makers out here. I didn't go to film school, I watch Baddy interviews ❤️
Damn! So fascinating to watch this conversation ❤. In the wold of whats next / come to the point, we definetely need Prem' sort of film which closely resonates with nature and relationship ❤. Thanks for this amazing conversation Braddy ❤
Good one BR, withanother thinking, interesting film maker. Happy he is from tanjavur. Would like to read his personal script book, if I get a chance. Good luck Prem
A very weird thought - what if Arvind Swamy's character in Meiyazhagan is in fact Jaanu's husband and the movie is about him after Jaanu has left him for Ram - and 96 part 2 is about what transpired between Arvind Swamy's character, Jaanu and Ram?? I hope not
Great interview Baradwaj. One suggestion - please let us stop consciously avoiding using the word "mythological" for our itihasa (history) such as Ramayana as mythology. That word was deliberately coined and applied by the colonizers to subvert our history. Thanks
Art meets Technicality meets Photography meets Psychology in this one. Very engaging and insightful.
BR starts off as an interviewer and ends up as a friend.
Very excited for what Prem Kumar brings to the table! 96 is my favourite Tamil film of all time and I love the album of Meiazhagan a lot.
What an amazing interview. The first part of the interview started out with the director being closed and responding with a filter. Me too. ❤

25:23 BR's analogy and Prem's cute salaam to that....itself has a love story feel to it😁 PRECIOUS ❤️
BR’s articulation of theory about the interviewed person is class! 25:15
Mr C Premkumar is enjoying.
And yes.. Deep inside a creation the shade of creator will be rooted somewhere strong. If we see mani ratnam sir movie we can feel the “struggle for expressing one’s heart or feelings”
❤❤ truu i felt the same.
One of the best interviews in recent times!
Agree

One of the best interviews of an indian filmmaker with so many lessons for an aspiring filmmaker ❤️

C.Premkumar's single movie 96 every frame speaks... I think he can handle IMAX camera which having more frame space can give more detailing..❤

Man with beautiful mind.
Handsome man

I hope not
How artistic he is🥹♥️

Baddy, let the guest talk. Your questions tend to ramble. Be precise.
His last advice is for atlee 😂
