Thank you for your video showing us this hike is doable. The time frames you gave are helpful. I love your sense of adventure and humor. We have a permit for close to the end of May this year and hope conditions are good for us then.
You're very welcome. The end of May is a great time to go.... maybe you can take a dip and see the waterfall. I'm glad the video was helpful. Thank you for the sweet comments. Enjoy the Subway!
Great video! I am hiking this on Thursday. I was planning to wear canyoneering boots. Were your feet wet the whole time? Did you climb that big waterfall or is there a path around it?
Thank you! Glad to hear you're going to do this hike! The Park Rangers told us to stay in the water the whole way, but we found that impossible with large boulders and things blocking the way. We decided to try to keep our feet dry as best we could and we had water shoes along if needed. We never used them. There's a trail on either side of the stream, but each time it seemed to dead-end we crossed the water to the other side. We stepped on rocks to cross and we crossed back and forth many times, but we never got our boots submerged. We were able to stay dry for the most part. For the big waterfall, the path continues on to the right of it. At that point, it's not much further to the beautiful Subway! You're lucky, it's probably still warm enough to swim in it! It was too cold when we were there. Hope you have a wonderful hike! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Lol! Yes, I really dislike snakes, but I had to face my fears. I hope you do this hike. It's fairly easy to get a permit. Good luck with the snakes! Ha!
We went in April. June sounds like a nice time to do the Subway hike. You may be able to take a dip in the water and see the waterfall in the back. It was too cold when we were there. Wishing you the best!

@@TaterTrails Thank you very much! We will have to see what the water temp is like when we get there.

@@juliedo5243 You're Welcome ❤
What a beautiful hike! I don’t think I could’ve resisted those swimming holes.
Thank you! We really wanted to jump in too. In the back, there's a pretty waterfall, but it was still a bit cold in April when we were there.
Very cool, never seen this place before!
Thank you! It's an incredible place!
