My project started with a Florida truck and it was all but rust free, EXCEPT that it had been a convertible and someone took all the seals off of it and it sat outside. So the inside of the rear cab support was rusty. I picked up a good looking roller cab that turned out to need a ton of rust repait. Yay, Michigan. sigh.
I have a 00 Xtreme that I am building… needed floors, could not find any online or around me found a set of square body S10’s online. Read on S10 forums they work the 94-05 I got them cut them up and then welded them up… yours look better than mine… I seamed sealed them and made a huge mess but they are water tight. I also need to do my Son’s S10 drivers floor…. Found your channel looking on how to body drop a truck… I need to get back recording and uploading to my channel. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!
Awesome! Glad to have you watching the channel! Maybe one day eventually I’ll get the second half of the body drop video finished. Lol That being said, the most sure fire way to be guaranteed to slow down a mini truck build is to build it on UA-cam! 😂 hope you enjoy the content!
Too late. 😂 welding sparks have already etched into it. I usually try to put a piece of masking/painters tape on it. But, I forget more often than I remember. 👍🏻
@@andrewmagennis1069 it’s an old Fitbit that my wife replaced. I started wearing it to keep up with my heart rate and steps. Still a good watch, just has a few spots in the glass that’s not smooth.
Thanks to wrong way garage I bought these same clips after a night of a few beers and truck talk over there. They worked great with my back window project on my S10. Which you can find on the channel also. Just not the 2.0 version of the window. Yet 😉
Honestly, I’d have to go look at my welder. I usually adjust the welder to the specifications of the metal size according to the chart under the lid of the welder. Then, I fine-tune it from there to get it to where it is more user-friendly. Lol

Thanks for information...
Try to remember to take your smart watch off while grinding , the hot steel will embed in the screen.

I just picked up some of those harbor freight welding clips, how do you like them?
They work well. Pulls the two pieces together flush. But, It’s easier for me to weld thin metal without the 0.4mm gap.

What would a guy need to do to score a Johnny Mac license plate for my 50 state collection?
I guess the first step would be texting/emailing me your contact info. 😂
I don’t have messenger but my contact info is on my FB page.
