Yes. They are killing it. They are the biggest group in the world, the biggest group to debut in the last 35 years, the 40th best selling artist of all time, the 18th best selling group of all time, and the 4th most awarded artist of all time. They have over 1000 awards. And they did all that in the span of a 10 year career. And they are far from being done.
It will be a while before any of us can go to a concert. South Korea has mandatory 18 month military service for all men and they are doing theirs now. 2 members have gone and a third will leave soon. While they are having to take a break from group work, they have been dropping solo albums. All 7 will be in the military by the end of the year. They will be back together as a group in 2025.
Also, BTS is very well known in the US. They sell out multiple dates at stadiums here in about 2 hours. They are living legends.

I’m adding my vote to Taylor’s A Guide to BTS Members to give you an idea of their meteoric rise from being trainees with a very small company to the global giants they are now. All thanks to their beautiful music, deep lyrics, insane choreography, hard work, but most of all, their quirky, raw, and honest personalities and who love their fandom like no other.
Just so you know JK (Jungkook who was the first singer in this video) has his solo song Seven ft. Latto nominated for Song of the Summer at the VMA'S next week. If you want to see a concert watch their Busan concert which was streamed live last October. I'd sit and watch you do the 2hr reaction to it! They won't be touring as a group til late 25 or in 26 bc they are doing mandatory military duty. So right now they're doing solo projects and slaying it

another thing i think reactors should be aware of: some people are using google translate, and the interpretation might not be good and might be coming across in ways unintended. also, on occasion in certain written word only contexts, sometimes some of the comments from people getting touchy are from people in other cultures who might overestimate what they're able to understand (they see one word without knowing much English and might get triggered and have a premature reaction, assuming they understood more than they did bc they couldn't comprehend some nuance bc of language barrier)

There are a rap sub unit within the group and a vocal sub unit where the rappers have few songs by themselves and the same with vocal line... But most of their songs as a complete group combines rap and vocals

MIC DROP regular, not audition. love meeting new reactors, you will be constantly shocked like I was. These couple of songs in English got to be their most popular in the US (as you know) and they worked to learn it. Most are in Korean but the music will hit you first, use your captions. Omg, the rap line is terrific, the vocal line is terrific, the street dance, modern dance, synchronized dance are terrific. Most of the time they write and have producing credits.. They've worked harder than anyone else as they are a bunch of perfectionists, and you have a real treat in store. Watch Mic Drop produced by Steve Aoki. Tickets to concerts have sold out as fast as 20 minutes.
You should DEFINITELY get to know more about them through the recommended guides etc. it makes it so much more impactful, enjoyable and rewarding to hear their songs and watching their music videos when you know them and their story 💜

There are always multiple videos of their songs. You’ll find dance practices, remixes, concert live footage…highly recommend the dance practice videos of Mic Drop and Fire (after you watch the official music video for Fire). They make a stage version for their concerts that is usually a bit different than the exact choreo of the music videos. They also sometimes do a Japanese language version if it sounds a little different
I recommend doing the Guide to the Bangtan 7 next and then the mic drop dance practice and the Ciphers, but you should also try Black Swan, maybe before the ciphers

BTS members are about to join the military.
After releasing a collaboration single with Coldplay, Jin, the oldest member, already enlisted about 8 months ago and is serving under Korean law.
And J-Hope joined the military about 4 months ago after releasing his solo album Jack In The Box and collaborating with J.Cole.
Suga released his solo album, D-Day, and he recently sold out all of his world tours and ended successfully, and there was a notice that he would soon join the army.
Other four BTS members will also serve in the military and will be reunited in 2025. So they are briefly stopping their eight-year group works and focusing on their solo work. :)
They promised their fan base, ARMY that each of them will grow further through solo projects and come back together in 2025 after completing their military service. :)

I honestly can’t see how this could be Bruno Mars. The sound seems similar to his previous songs but honestly the voices don’t sound like him that much. You should try listening to many of their other songs and then you’ll see how different they sound from Bruno.

"Mic Drop Dancin'" I think you meant the Dance Practice which is the final performance ready choreography. Those are the moves you will see in MV's and live performances. SOP for K-Pop groups is to release a "dance practice" as part of the promotions.

to me it´s not surprising that you have heard the song but not seen them. that is the US industry tactic. they dont want to highlight foreign artists because then the money will go out of the country.
they only highlight those latin artist or canadian artist that are signed at an amarican label. and then they controle the radio to play the US artists songs only. but when you look at the global chart it´s totally different names and songs.
it is like living inside a boble without knowing it. it´s only when you branch out on youtube that you realize how much good music is out there.
even I who live in EU we only hear amarican songs or english songs on the radio. it has become a bias thing that all songs has to be in English or it wont get airtime. the only reason why despacito go airtime was because JB was involved with the remix. but even before he got involed it was already big in the rest of the world. My radio station also only play our own songs and amarican we dont play latin or kpop. only if you go to a kpop radio station.
idk if there is one but it´s like saying hey if you dont want to play by the rules you wont get popular. BTS also had to make this english song to get noticed by the general public in america before that it was only fans in the US who knew them. so when they won their first BBMA people was in chock at how many fans they had in the US. people are blind. brainwashed by the media but china do the same
