This is probably my favorite interview with Derek and Susan. They are open, candid and truly generous in their praise of the other players in their band as well as the other musicians in their life. And they've managed to create a band that has seemingly figured it out. They've eliminated the excesses of the bands of the 60's and 70's and have created a cohesive well-oiled behemoth of a rock and roll band.
What a great interview! It’s very nice to hear these two… they’re so in love. In my opinion Susan is one of the strongest singers since Janice and Aretha… Derek is top notch and brings me to tears. There’s a lot to love with them.
Wow I’m so happy about this. Derek trucks is my favorite guitarist on the planet and the TTB is one of the best out there. Thanks so much for doing this podcast!
I love the story of Mike's take on the Layla adventure. I totally dig everything about this band and their mutual admiration for each other. Plus their very light touch that leads to this amazing soulful music. Thanks to you Derek and Susan et al and Justin.
I seen Derek play in a small bar in Clearwater, Fl when he was about 17. Place was packed like sardines. Glad he’s had such a rich life being able to meet and befriend some of greatest musicians to have ever played. Thank you for another great interview, Rick.
I have that same feeling. I love being able to see these guys in small and medium-sized places like the Beacon in New York City or the Warner in Washington DC.
Almost wish that Derek's & Susan's points were separately featured. Susan's spontaneous comment/responses paint great pictures, whereas Derek ponders before this condensed, power-packed phrase clears the canvas & inspires (at least me). Not complaining though, loved this & love this exceptional band. BTW, think it was Manson's 'Spooky Kids'.. Cheers Y'all.. ; ^ }
If you’re new to Tedeschi Trucks Band, check out their live stuff on UA-cam, they are amazing … the finest live act on the planet… simply stunning and transformative music with heart and soul beyond compare. If they are EVER in your area…. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do yourself the biggest favour and go and see them. Your life may never be the same ever again ❤️🎸🎼🎸❤️
Been a massive fan strangely since the pandemic freed me up to explore and man, I adore this band, Here in the UK we don't get to see them that often but I HAVE TICKETS! November can't come soon enough.
I would almost give-up body bits, to see this band at a place like "Red Rocks"! I would love to see you cover " I shall be released" That would be bucket list stuff for many...
You can hear the musical performances if you listen to the episode via your preferred podcast app. But we’ll also try to post the music separately on this channel, if possible.
Love this podcast, but why do you cut out the music? I can understand removing pre-recorded stuff because of copyright issues on youtube, but I don't see a reason to do it for live performances.

There is not a better band to see live…the freshest, uniquely different, and yet most soulful sounds and experience I have ever had at a show…
Totally!
Best live band out there right now, PERIOD.
Sorry...Phish on👌
TTB is the best live band by a country mile!
They are like your favorite next door neighbors in person and then musical giants on stage and recordings!
Totally agree, they seem like the most down-to-earth people you could meet.

Best live band on planet Earth. That said, I would love to have another solo record from Susan.

They are amazing. The BEST! I only pray they don't get so big that the venues get too big.
I have that same feeling. I love being able to see these guys in small and medium-sized places like the Beacon in New York City or the Warner in Washington DC.
Great interview!! Love hearing them speak about their musical journeys and collaborations great story telling. Love this band thank you!
I saw them 2022 @ PNC Amphitheater, Charlotte, NC. Glad I did. Great concert. Incredible band/music.
I saw this band live they did not disappoint
These two are so cool and inspirational- this is how you do it... what a wonderful life they lead, keep on!

Only just found them and can’t get enough! I’m in Australia so I am grateful for UA-cam otherwise I might never have seen them - so awesome
I have to Thank Warren Haynes Christmas Jam for Having Coronel Bruce and The Aquarium rescue unit so lucky to have seen all those great shows.
saw Both of Them Solo In Asheville NC back in the day. What a great Story. What a great band. They were incredible Solo. Now it's Just an Amazing unit
Just an INCREDIBLE reveal!
Love this band !!
Their work with Taj Mahal is probably the best collaboration in history.
Best band going.
I would almost give-up body bits, to see this band at a place like "Red Rocks"!
I would love to see you cover " I shall be released" That would be bucket list stuff for many...
Saw TT w/Los Lobos. Everyone was great but in particular, Derek let loose around 3/4 through the show. His playing and tone was unreal!
Derek needs to do a solo project, with just a few pieces.
Love them!
They ought to collaborate with Gillian Welch & David Rawlings for the ultimate songwriting couples concert! Who else could they include?
Love the TTB interview, but what happened to the music?
My thoughts exactly. Beautiful chat but I'd love to hear the performances please. 💗 🙏
More like copy right stuff. But like Susan said I’m sure it’ll be on UA-cam in the morning, lol

35:00. I’d love to read that.
a 4 album release isn't my cup of tea. Esp the shipping to the UK.
UK import taxes. That left a nice red cheek. 😳
