Ironically, the scariest thing in the game is the map bot.
it legit is! The security bots just stare at you aggresively, the jump scares are meh by this point, but the Map Bot is all "i will devour your soul!!!!!!! Also, free map. Free map. Free map."

It's because in all the other jumpscares you see the animatronic coming at you so you're expecting the jump scare, (which makes the game as a whole less scary)

My dad looks over at me and just laughs. This happened at least twice, probably three times over the course of Security Breach

My headcannon is that the robot is so aggressive because fazbear entertainment can avoid lawsuits if people have a map of the place.

I imagine Matt bott is a lot less aggressive when there's more people to distribute its attention but when you're the only person around it probably rushes at you full speed

Just noticed that the Mapbot alternates between a feminine or masculine voice. I wonder if the voice changes are random, or if it’s determined by specific playing factors?
After watching I think it determines which elevator you take up. The left one has a male voice and the right one has a female voice

I honestly adore the Map Bot's inclusion. Just the concept of such a benign thing having arguably the most effective jumpscare in the game for literally no reason is just gold.
Its probably cuz its the one thing that jumpscares you even if you are inside freddy. Hit them when they expect it last

This is objectively the best jump scare in the game. Usually you expect the map to be elsewhere like everything else in the game, like a desk or a lone bot with no real purpose. The other jump scares in this game are usually seen coming if you’re observant and have been there more than once and knows who is there (with the exception of the Sun and some Moon parts). With the map bot, you don’t expect it, and it’s in an area you’d expect to have leeway (right outside the elevator).
It’s funny that the two most chilling jump scares come from the kindly bots, but it makes the most sense as to why they’d be the scariest.

The scariest jumpscares are often the harmless ones that have no repercussions. Because they don't have to be fair about when they get you, so you're almost never prepared for it.

Mapbot truly was the Most shocking jumpscare everyone got! Because it gave no warning at all. Even Roxy, Chika and Monty give some sort of warning that they're chasing you!

Mark's headset nearly falling off just barely edges his reaction ahead of Cory's for me, but Cory's reaction and after-scare commentary is what puts it at a very, very close second best reaction.

Mapbot jumpscare is so good. Inside Freddy is meant to be like, your designated 'safe zone' from all things except moon, but not only can Map Bot tell Freddy has a guest inside him, he gives 0 fucks about invading his personal space to yeet Gregory out--just to give him a map.

I love the mental image of Freddy stepping out of the elevator, only for MapBot to lunge forward, rip open his chest, and pull Gregory out just to make sure he has a map
People got scared of the map bot, but I find it too cute for the jumpscare to work as many times as it tries.
The voice is also satisfying to listen to.
