There this's one older gentleman that goes the gym I go to. The dude is a HYPER perv. You see, he wears super dark shades in the gym. At NIGHT. I mean c'mon. There's only one reason to do that. He's lookin' at young ass! He claims that he has sensitive eyes.

Kurt I'd like to take it down a minute here for a second honestly your channel is probably the most original and entertaining to watch you could do a review on a bar of soap and I would love it now that's been said that new save the ocean is just gorgeous I mean I wouldn't get rid of any of those they're gorgeous they're beautiful have a nice day LOL

Seiko Samurai has a very unique design for a modern dive watch. The Great White Shark adds some beautiful details and finishs to the Samurai.

The dial texture on the STO1 is actually based upon the skin texture found on blue whales and not a wave pattern as is often assumed.
Hello! According to Seiko, it's both. On Their site for the SRPC93, it states "Blue whale/wave patterned dial". Pretty clever!

Happy Saturday Curt! For some reason the OG Save the Ocean just clicks the most for me even though I really love the face of the 2nd Gen more. If there was only some way to mismash em together. As far as the old gym bro, once I was at a Gentleman's Establishment where young ladies practice their dancing skills for your tipping gratitude and this old guy was straight up with no shame wearing silk pajama bottoms as pants. It was obvious why he was doing so and then he disappeared to get private dances. Godspeed old pervy silk pajama pants private dance man! I have a lot of gentleman club stories.

Seiko is my most favourite brand. The most reliable and under-rated brand. I have customized this Samurai Blue Lagoon dial in customized samurai SRPB55 black watch case with cusn8 bronze shroud. It looks outstanding and unique.
The oceans are well and truly saved, thanks to Seiko!

I've ordered double dome sapphires along with original samurai hour minute hands for my STO & GWS.
But for some reason I'm starting to second guess modifying. where do you stand as far modifying any of these?

There's one more watch you could add to this list, The Samurai Save The Ocean 1.5 (it's basically the same as the original but with a matt blue dial and a black case and it comes on a blue rubber strap)

I have the first save the ocean samurai and i must say the dial has more depth of colour and texture than the new one. Camera definitely doesn’t do it justice

From what I have seen, “Made in Japan” does not mean It’s a JDM model, it just means it was made in Japan. If it says “movement Japan” only the movement was made in Japan and the watch was made in another country.
The only time I ever see "Made in Japan" on a Seiko are Seiko's from Japan but who knows with Seiko these days! They do some weird stuff. Like the PADImas. There's like three model numbers and I can't see a difference between them! lol
minitwatch You are the only person I heard that referred to as the Padimas. That a cool name for it. I actually have one, mine the international model #SPB07J1. The JDM Version is the “SBDC055. They are the same watch.
It can be confusing.
Only the blue lagoon is still. on my 'to get' list. Turtles are for squares:)

HAve owned both STOs, now i only have the V2, my fave. I love the yellow on the BL, wish they had added some yellow in the STO 2 - it would be more perfect. But you can't beat the engraved bezel on the V2 with that thick texture - looks like but is better than ceramic. it's awesome.

I own the STO1, saving up for the STO2. Blue lagoon a bit too pricey, though one day I will get my hands on one. Turtles are not an option:)
The new save the ocean says Divers watch 200 on the back and the other two say Air diver’s

Aesthetically the Seiko Samurai Save The Ocean Special Edition is second to none. I keep on going back to preferring it over the new Seiko Samurai Save The Ocean Special Edition Great White Shark. But I want to like the Great White Shark more; it's the new old, different, and fresh.

I love the Save the Ocean, but I tried it on and it seems to small for my wrist. The Orient Maco XL seems to fit me better
I was never a fan of the samurai untill I went to Macy's herald square NYC and saw the STO 1 and once I saw that dial I ripped out the wallet and it's been in my rotation ever since. Now if I had to remove some parts from version 2 to mod my watch without a doubt it would be the bezel insert and seconds hand I feel looks better then version 1 with that being said I still prefer version 1...
The STO1's dial sure has that depth to it! Funny thing is, I did the exact same thing in Macy's hah!
I saw one yesterday in a local independent jeweler and it took all I could do to not whip out the credit card. The only thing that stopped me is the size. If it was 41mm or less, it would be on my nightstand right now.
There should be a Special Edition Turtle "Save the Green Lagoon"

Hello, can you please at least look at the Orient Star re-au0004b00b, it's a sarb033 alternative, which is cheaper and much better, no English reviews as well
Sorry but it's not a patch on the 033 visually, Roman numerals, power meter far too fussy and cluttered.
@@kissmylilpiggy power reserve is an advantage, very useful feature, visually the finishing is much much better than the sarb
I think it's more like a personal preference and the Seiko just has more clean dress watch feel. The roman numerals and the power reserve are the things that I don't like about the Orient and I can't say which one has better finish, because I have to see both in person. The power reserve isn't that practical as some believe unless the mechanism isn't automatic. Why? If the watch is on your wrist all the time then it's always fully charged and there's no need for you to look at the power reserve and if it isn't then it's either out of power or it's still working and once you put it back on your wrist it will get fully charged after a while. For me it's more like a cosmetic feature rather than a practical must have feature and some people hate it while others like it or simply don't mind it. Also, the price difference is around $100 for the Seiko simply because it was discontinued and as everything discontinued the prices are going up. Just like with everything, people should buy what they like, not what others like so if you like the Orient go for it.

Deep blue is called ultramarine blue. The light blue is called cerulean blue.

Mine gains 30 seconds per day. Qhay kind of quality control is that??? For a watch this expensive I expected more quality control. My Casio Oceanus T200 is solar, satellite, pwrpetual calendar, super lume, always exact ro within 1/1000 of a second and is slightly more beautiful. Oh, it also has a button to buzz my phone if I lose it.

Como puede pasar esto con un reloj tan caro que compré hace un mes? Que control de calidad es ese?
