Another great job by Julie. We will await word that mommy has returned to the property and brought her kittens, for the call to return. Then we will have to use the drop trap so we can let these 3 sterilized ones loose.
Sorry the orange and white cat couldn't get his leg fixed but sometimes things happen. Thanks for trying to help him anyway. When will you go back for the female that is going to have the litter of kittens? You are doing a great job. Take care and have a great day
We had a feral cat problem in our neighborhood, but the only thing the city animal control would do is lend us a trap. So, I put flyers on all the doors for 3 blocks around letting them know I'd be trapping cat for the next two nights. I caught the first cat within 30 minutes and called animal control to come get it. They took it out of the trap and hadn't been gone 10 minutes and I had another one. I called and they radioed them to turn around and pick it up. They did this again and the fourth time they brought me a large cage and told me to put the cats in there until I had 6 and THEN call them. In the two nights I was allowed to keep the trap I caught 16 cats and one opossum. Towards the end I had one very large cat that never would enter the trap. He'd jump on top and turn the trap over, spilling the food (tuna fish) and tripping the trap and eating what fell outside the trap. I never did catch him.
Did they tell you what they did with them? They probably put them down. I know some people find that harsh but the more cats roaming around, the more wildlife gets killed by the cats. So if they can’t be TNRed, adopted out as barn cats or sent to a sanctuary for ferals, they need to be put down. The cats’ lives are not more important than the thousands of wild animals they each kill in their lifetimes.
I tie a rope around a bottle and have the bottle hold the door open. As soon as the cat walks in far enough, I pull the rope. This way, you do not have to wait for the cat to step on the plate. At 7:01, I was yelling "pull the rope!"
It is called coin flooring, I believe. It is kind of like a thin sturdy type of rubber- easy to spray off after trapping. I also talk about it in the video about how to use a live trap.
May God bless you and may God reward you well A woman who entered Heaven in a cat. I greet you. Go on 💚👍 I am Munir from Morocco 33 years old single I am honored to get to know you. I also love animals and cats. I want to live with you in America. Welcome to Morocco 😘 I want your Instagram account
This is animal cruelty, you evil TNR people need to realize that these living beings have the right to live & reproduce without anyone depopulating them.Consider the verse "do unto others as you would have them do unto you", this applies to all life. How would you like it if you was trapped, butchered, traumatized & drugged without your consent. Leave the cats alone, stop exploiting animals so your so-called non- profit can scam people out of money.

Putting towel over trap first helps trap look less suspicious. It just looks like a terry cloth box with nomnoms inside

Nice of you to step up to help the community and take leadership

I just put food in at the back. They still go all the way in.
Yes!

7:01? Unfortunately the tail was in the way.
Great job!! Thanks for the video :)
Thanks for watching!
what's the material of the foot mat you put inside the cage?

You could do newspaper too.
You shouldn't stagger the bait. Put all the bait in the back of the trap and you won't ever miss one.
Where can I buy one of those traps?
Any place like Tractor Supply or you can probably order one on Amazon. They’re around $80.
That music ruins it
