I’m in your camp concerning sugar cookies. I have a delicious soft sugar cookie recipe. Instead of making cutouts, I drop them and call them “snowballs”. I will make a butter icing but just spread it with a knife and top with sprinkles. They still taste like Christmas.
My mom does awesome cut out cookies. I have tried for YEARS and finally gave up, same on the no patience for it 😂. Thankfully my daughter does have the patience and has taken up making those cookies. Love to eat them 😁
We make sugar cookie cut outs, but just make quick, white butter cream frosting, set out the sprinkles and red hots, and let the kids go at it. They taste amazing, even if not very pretty.
I will be buying local bakery 😢cookies. So much better than this non baker could ever do. Not worth me trying once a year!

Lol. My peace was destroyed last week, by a household problem. It's OK, though, because it was fixed today. So now I get to practice Gratitude.
I have been there! Frustrating, but yes a good time to practice gratitude!
Handmade cookies and custom mom-made birthday cakes was a one kid activity here. Two rainbow babies later we go to Meijer and pick out elaborate clearance cakes. It’s a different tradition now lol. They love it!
I LOVE Meijer! We don't have them this far south, but I have lots of found memories of Meijer.

Sprinkles are for winners..too funny! I can do cookies, but not ones that require so much work! This Christmas is not peaceful in any way...family issues are making it more of a depressive season. God is good..this too shall pass...whew!

I think a year end positive, negative and funny comments commentary would be a fun video. I remember Carrie being in your video, she's sweet and direct. We do cut outs we use a powdered sugar, corn syrup, milk iicng that dries shiny.

Cut out cookies vs drop & go….. I’m a drop & go person. I admire the beauty of the cut out/iced ones, but have no desire to make them. In fact as the years pass, I make fewer and fewer cookies!
