Unfortunately, these Harman Kardon speakers have a 100% failure rate due to the foam surround material they use. I'd love to see a more robust replacement unit. I may experiment with gluing a Peerless 20N12AL03 in place of the HK driver.

Was that a special screw driver you used? Anti static, magnetic?

every laptop will be different. i would search up that model to see if there is any disassembly procedures.
