Gotta love a MP-15 bouncing across a road crossing at speed. They are like the tug-boats of the locomotive world. & that horn damn near gives me wood. Nice vid.
Still enjoying this video. I also love how you can hear the EMD engine pumping, even in the distance. This used to be one of my favorite things about having a boat near the FEC mainline. It was an awesome sound in the night.
LIRR MP15s were specifically built and geared with speed in mind, they were ordered in the 70s, and by that time they were used on passenger trains up to the early 2000s when the DM/DE30s were introduced

Ok let’s go get a drink
The MP15AC are the Towtrucks or the rails!
Same, I love watching engines bouncing a little when going over a crossing or something else
I'm a freight conductor and I've never seen a motor bounce like that, and I've been over some bad track in old power lol !
This is how New York does it
@@silversurfervo843 your not wrong I see one of these old warriors everyday
Awesome P01235! Amazing how loud the horn is when facing backwards.
I find ur comment on every train video in the Multi-Verse!
@@unionpacificsd70ace.9 lol i’m 4 parallel universes ahead of the railfan community
A mile away and you can still hear the 645 banging it out!
The E60s live on! Nice to see the P01235 on the MP15s
0:14 the train is dancing because of how nice the horn is

No it’s not a emd locomotive it’s just a LIRR MP15AC
@@yeahboiii83642 You uh. You know the MP15 is built by EMD, right?
No it’s built by from the MP15AC’s
@@yeahboiii83642 But the manufacturer is EMD.
@@AVeryRandomPerson i know
That is one great horn, especially the capture from a distance. That's some bounce there -- the engine crew must have had quite a ride.

I've never seen a switcher go that fast before. But the bouncing is so mesmerising though lol
Taken right off an E60!
Damn this MP15 literally defined bouncy
Reminds me of a GEVO.
What? A Hybrid K5HLA
*GEVOS ARE LITERALLY THE SAME AS OTHER LOCOMOTIVES*
Wow! That was awesome> I have never seen switchers on a train just fly though like that! Nice video.
yea! notch 8 and everything!
@@d00mhound Lol. Interesting to see a reply to a comment of mine from 8 years ago. But still it was cool to see this.
@@Lightwolf333 I'm surprised you're still active 8 years later. lmao.
@@d00mhound Still around. Not as active as I would like to be.
Lightwolf333 i know but it sounds like an LIRR’S MP15AC Horn
That bounce at 0:15 definitely doesn't meet federal safety standards!
Track is allowed 3 inches of vertical movement. How the locomotive translates that is on the locomotive. MP15's are well know to be bouncy.
@@W5KVV Yea they dont have the best Axles, dispite there Age, And the line is also Very Rocky
But fun for the train crew :>
That horn sounds like an Amtrak E60 + it kinda sounded like a BNSF ET44C4 horn at the beginning.
It sounded like K5HL.
That driver sure does know how to annoy the Federal Rail Administrator
0:15 why was it jumping-
Well that’s the fastest MP-15 I’ve ever seen
Great video!! that P5 is ace! I want an old cast P5!
no
That's a P01235 not a P5
A Kilometer Away
wow - that is some rough spot right before the xing there......
jesus, look at that thing bounce!
love the horn
Just awesome!
At the start it sound like a k5hl
he sure is bookin it! he must be extremely late. lol.
Work trains do not run on fixed schedules, only on an as needed basis.
That was very fast for a switch engine.
wow

Sounds Like The CSX BNSF Or Union Pacific
W Old School LIRR
0:14 it is normal for the locomotive to swing too much
hell no
For an MP-15 yes that’s normal on that locomotive
Sounds like a K5HLA
I thought p01235s were exclusive to amtraks E60s
And now that those are gone, where do you think all those P0s ended up? lol
Indeed
Reminds Of BNSF
15k views like holy crap
Or a Hybrid K5LLA
how fast was it going about
idk
Just about 45 MPH.
@papabugs71 I agree. That horn is quite sexy.
did you invite this guy to UTC?
LMAO I thought it was a K5HL
You mean hybrid
