The New York & Atlantic RS50 brings Helm Leasers 1010 and 1017 east through Farmingdale, NY at 2:52am. Units are bound for a new US Rail operation starting up in Yaphank, NY. This is the first video of these units on LIRR trackage. The two GP38-3s will make their trek east to Yaphank on the RS60 later this morning.

TRAGEDY WAITING TO HAPPEN
So given the talk of retirement and the completed construction of the high level platforms, this has to be 1998 or 1999. My question is, when was the crosswalk over the tracks built? I always figured it was done at the same time as the platforms.
