These videos are great but not very useful for average DIYers who are installing at home in a garage work space. Can you possibly add content or make alternative suggestions for people who are limited to basic hand tools and smaller work spaces? Otherwise I love your videos and they’re still are great learning lessons emphasizing doing things the right way
Ronald De Guzman umm a cheap router can be bought at any home depot for between 99 and 250 dollars and most of the same bits that he uses, if i, being REGULAR FOLK, making less than 20 grand a year, and supporting a family of 4 on that meager income, can afford a router im sure you can find a way
Can you show us how to make angled speaker adapters to point the drivers closer to our ears? Most drivers are pointed towards our knees and that is unacceptable.
Have you ever tried using home audio speakers in any of your builds? I know for some unamplified systems, it may be a challenge to power many of those speakers due to the higher impedance they usually have. I'm just curious, since many home audio speakers are comparatively inexpensive for the performance they purport to offer.
i luv how you always go the extra mile to get the best results instead of making it out of abs you used the mdf first to make sure that the final product was the best possible
I want to upgrade my front door 4 inch factory speakers with 6.75 inch JL Audio C2 650x. I am ready to embark any customization and modification. I also want to install the same new speakers to the rear door where there is no previous factory speakers installed. Can anyone point me any professional/DIY resources to achieve this?
Been working on 60's cars with the 4 x 8 speaker under a metal grill cut in the dash. I would love to see how you would tackle a project like this. There are a few hacky vids about dual 4" speakers but I know you have a more professional solution.
Do you have one for a 2007 ford expedition Eddie Bauer el? I would like change my 6x8's out to 6.5's... and should I purchase 6.5 components for the front doors and 6.5's in the rear doors....thanks
Can you make us a bracket for replacing the Subwoofer in the Toyota Camry with JBL 9” subwoofer? The sub has no kick and we want to replace it with a 8” Toyota has left us high and dry. PS after you make it i want to buy it! Thank you
can you please look into the Bronco Audio system. There are a few Videos out now, but nothing at your level . I have a 2022 Bronco 2dr Wildtrak incoming without the rear sub, which I will be adding in the Factory location once it arrives. Your input would be greatly appreciated!
Not hard to make a video a day when 98% of the content is mom jokes and talking bad about others. I know critical thinking is hard for some but Mark’s videos actually complete a project and are completely filled with info. Obviously a project video takes much more effort than 10 minutes of messing around and talking trash.
So... i have 2 6x8 speakers for Ford, hooked up to a car radio I'm building an older-style boombox with... but... i wanna get some speaker grills for them... unfortunately, I can only find 6x9s online... my question is, can you use a 6x9 grill on a 6x8 speaker???
I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and I ordered JVC 6.5 but the front openings is 5 1/4, how would you make it fit? Do you have a video already that you could send me a link to?
if I remember correctly.... the OEM grill can be shimmed outwards quite a ways, allowing plenty of clearance for the tweeter on the coaxial speaker. Mark's ABS adapter plate will shim the grill outward a little bit as is, 1/8th in. or 3/16th in. whichever thickness he used. just C/A glue a couple more small washer size pieces of ABS to the top of the ears on the speaker ring adapter. just check first how far the OEM grill can be shimmed outwards before the edge can be seen. 😉
If there was somewhere I could buy a pair of these I would pay you whatever you wanted 🤣 I’ve tried other adapters that are either too thick or don’t line up quite right and these look perfect
have you made any changes to the front speaker pods? I noticed you put a lot of work into the sound bar, was wondering what you think of the front woofer enclosures. I added a set of alpine SPR components in the front of my friends Jeep and they sound odd in the enclosures
You’re awesome. Thanks for everything you do. You should do a production run of these and sell them on eBay. If you’ve already got the dims and template, just do a bunch and make a little cash on them. I bet there are a quite few people that would buy em. Super easy and quick to produce.

Instructions unclear, smashed the subscribe button, you owe me a new iPad...
That ABS is going to twist, crack drop the speaker, the connection is going to fall off the terminal, and light the fumes!
What's up early notification squad?!
soooooooo...... when are you gonna drop a punch(gottum) line for Doug XD
Just wait, patience my friend. :)
boom shock a lock a! sorry nba jam's was the best.
4 years late. I have some catching up to do
What happens if you drive your truck in an acetone lake. That ABS is going to melt. MDF may swell but it won't melt.
*Nuclear explosion clip
As much as I hate trolls and or troll like comments.... This is so true... And it could happen... Good point... Lol. KUDOS!!!
Regular folk don't have router machines like you. So how is this useful to us?

Using mdf to make a speaker adapter only to use it as a template. Brilliant!
Doug said use MDF..haaa
Excellent video footage thank you Mark for making this video and sharing it on UA-cam.
Nice to see Rockford has given you some sponsorship

if you are from usa. dont think about expenses so much. you only pay like 5% in tax. im from denmark and we pay 39% in tax
Good thing you didn't use MDF on the final piece or it would have swelled, caused the speaker to spark, and ignite the fumes *EXPLOSION GIF*.
KABLAMMMMM!
Mark, teach your buddy Doug how to keep swell!! hahaha
Mark, what table router are you using? I really want one like that, but I don't know where to get the best price.
Good thing I have these tools and equipment handy 👍 . Sike. . .
i luv how you always go the extra mile to get the best results instead of making it out of abs you used the mdf first to make sure that the final product was the best possible

Do you have one for a 2007 ford expedition Eddie Bauer el? I would like change my 6x8's out to 6.5's... and should I purchase 6.5 components for the front doors and 6.5's in the rear doors....thanks
Same here for my 09 Explorer. Ive tried Amazon adapters and sent them back as the adapter didn’t fit my standard 6.5 speakers.
so cool again learning how to do this stuff. think about how and what to do if owned these tools. mobile solutions is on top of their game

Toyota has left us high and dry.

Nice comments guys, guess I'm not the only one that watch Amplified as well as CAF
That is gonna have a mushroom cloud explosion for sure
Trapperjohn1000 might ignite the fumes :O

That aint how Dougy would've done it.
I know, probably would have taken at least 7 episodes. HA!
Waiting for Doug's comment.
The hand up his ass that moves his mouth is sick...
No...it gonna swells and ignite the fumes!
6 videos a month? Your buddy Doug is knocking out 6 videos a week lol

Bradon Bansale you're very right I didn't think of it that way lol

I really think the ABS gonna twist

Where do you get your abs?
Crunches and dieting 😏
Have you thought about selling these?

What if I don’t have the factory bracket? I want to make one but don’t have that bracket in my 2016 Toyota Corolla. Thanks
How thick is the ABS? Would 1/4” be enough?
If there was somewhere I could buy a pair of these I would pay you whatever you wanted 🤣 I’ve tried other adapters that are either too thick or don’t line up quite right and these look perfect
How do you glue abs to mdf? Just with both side adhesive tape or do you use some other glue?
How much to do a 6.9 adapter to a 6.5 front door and the rear 5.25 to a 6.5 rear door Dodge Ram 1500 2008
This dude's vids are freakin awesome!
have you made any changes to the front speaker pods? I noticed you put a lot of work into the sound bar, was wondering what you think of the front woofer enclosures. I added a set of alpine SPR components in the front of my friends Jeep and they sound odd in the enclosures
Everything looks great I would have vinyl wrap the panels match to sound bar.
Is there anything wrong with drilling holes in the metal and mounting? Do u really need a bracket?
Anyway to make a 4x6 adapter to fit a 6.5" slot?
Whoa. I bet that one little speaker just cost some jack. Lol all that work for almost 0.00 gain other then saying its solid
Clearly you have never heard a before/after of a properly sound treated vehicle. Huge difference
The SoundMan should watch this.
#thesoundman @thesoundman lol
Anybody tried Dougs CT sounds products?
What size are those crimp terminals??
Where can I find circle templates?
Yeah I’ll brake out my router and get to it.
And will the adapter allow you to still use your window
Is there any reason I couldn't use sheet steel? I have plenty of steel, but no ABS plastic.
Mustang351c Viration.
hey mark show me how to make 6by9 adapter
Can I buy these speaker adapters from you? I don't feel like making them.
you mak this look so easy.
Angel Araiza it's fairly easy if you have all the right tools. I wish I had the space to build a workshop like this.
Do you sell the adapters?
How's your new IKEA kitchen treating you?
Pretty good! It takes me less than 15 episodes to install a speaker now!
Very professional 👍
oh yeaaa boom shaka-laka
i got no tools
Boom Shaka Laka 🤙
If this was inside of a door, could you just use wood instead of adding the abs?
No, you should never use MDF in a door, unless swollen rings that fall apart and sound horrible is your thing.
Nice video quality, clean and clear!
so clean
As always clean work.
Videos are great!
very nice work
You da man, man.
great work! awesome.
this must be for the professional and not the DIY'er
