Nice review. Just put one up from Canadian Tire. It's a Shelterlogic. Mine is 24x12X10. Mine has a round roof on it. Hope it lasts here in Newfoundland. Enjoyed your vid. Thanks
about 14 feet at the bottom if i recall right its been a few years sence i had this garage and i dont live where i used to when i had it so i did part ways with this one finally and have not gotten a new one sense
yes rob they are the same product,i think you can also get them from argos, not sure though.easy assembly two person job to get the main cover on easily, coach bolted mine down to a decking board base and its not moved, atb john.
Bought two last fall. One held up well over this winter, the other collapsed. The support tubing/rafters were bent over 90 degrees, some of the ends split.I'll salvage what I can and rebuild in wood.
thats nasty you know you have to readjust the tarps on thoes a few times before they settle in and keep them clear of snow as much as you can and then you wont have any problems with them
@krl8814 thanks for the comment, shes a good shelter and can really stand up well. its already been thew one northern winter lots of snow loads of rain and wind and still in great shape
@OverSoulMatrix33 Glad you got yours up. Mine didn't blow down but someone posted on my video that there's did. We had 90km winds here the other day and mine didn't budge so I'm happy. I'm going to be putting another tap over the top of mine and a net to keep it down. It will act like a sacrificial cover to keep the sun and elements off the original cover. If you go to my shelterlogic video on my channel you'll see how I anchored mine to the ground.
Very nice video...Just bought mine in Canadian Tire today (AutoShelter Instant Garage, 10x20-ft (3x6m).it is on sale for $249.99. i haven't build it yet 'coz i still have guys finishing my fence. but i just want to check how can i make the base more stable in the ground? i noticed that you put a 2x4 on all sides, did you drill the posts/frame in there or is it just there to support the frame? i don't have a concrete ground. thank you.
Hey Kev. What's the proper procedure for tightening the roof? Do I push down and tighten the corner clamps first and then push down and tighten the center clamp? Just can't seem to get the roof cover nice and tight. Kind of have too much slack. Not too bad , but I just feel it should be tighter.
First you need to set up the door and the back wall and attach them and at first dont tighten to much you need 2 people to set the tension on each side make sure the poles the run along the bottom sides are in the pockets and adjusted properly first then you can tighten down the back wall first then goto the front door make sure the door is zipped closed and adjusted as even as you can center it then tighten it a bit then start putting the tension to the main tarp door area or opening will call it, you may not have your fram square if this does not work out, so make sure the fram is square all around as this will affect the tension on the tarp, hope this helps if not let me know and ill a video for you..
KevinMillard68 Ok. I have the front and back panels figured out. I ratcheted them properly. Now I'm to the roof cover and I'm at the point to where I run the bottom side bars through the cover and then clamp them down. There's the clamps(Brackets) to these bars at the corners on both front and back, and also in the center . This is a 10X10X8 shed. So I push down and tighten the corners(Left then right) (front) clamps and then go to the back corners and do the same. Then go to the center clamps and push down and tighten them on both sides? Pushing down on the bars on the base will tighten the roof tarp , correct? Thank you for your time in responding to this post. I appreciate it.
@7863348 i like these shelter logic garage's there pretty sturdy but keep the snow cleared off the roof as much as possible and you wont have any problems with it..
nope no problems but my zipper did die on the one side of the door after the 2nd year in the winter.i just leave it open now. iam not paying 116.00 for a new door panel. other wise I have had no issues other the the zipper
+Neville Black no problems with storing a car in it in the winter .. moisture level inside are not bad in the summer time winter time cold is cold .. my cover is getting a bit beat on it now i use this thing for painting cars and well everything lol its a very versitial garage .. over all still pretty happy with it best money i ever spent and iam going to get 2 more of them when i can afford them 1 to just use for the tarp.. to replace the tarp on mine now and then a second one that ill putup , now even with the car storage thing you still have to clean off the snow you cant leave it collect snow all winter on the roof not unless your going to mod it for cross supports..
KevinMillard68 Wow just noticed date on vid and you had it a year already in vid. Def buying one, need it to work on my cars. Thanks for the vid and Quick reply... (Subbed)
Put a cable or rope at the back of the shelter , inside like an X from corner to corner , this will make it stronger and does not tend to blow side to side
thanks for the info but the rope idea is not needed, i havent had any problems its been great.... in an open location you might want to secure it more but where mine is set up i dont get any problems thanks tho for the info
★★★★★ It's nice to know that it can withstand a Canadian winter! You forgot to mention one thing though Kevin!..........Is it able to withstand a Vancouver Hockey Riot? LMAO!
heeheheh i shouls have extened that in the sence that when it comes to working inside its excellet so if you wanted to say to mig welding inside then you wonthave to worry about your mig gas geting blown away while welding etc all around its a great shelter,
+Demetri Rubi yup yup it fits great i drive a small car these days ..but i have had no problems putting even a chevy blazer in there and some pickup trucks to
i had mine for several years only took it down because i moved and had no place to put it at the new place also if you dont set them up right they wont last at all period

just picked mine up today at canadian tire on sale for $299. thanks for the tips gonna put it up when the snow melts.
cool cool ,
I've had mine a little over a year, and agree they hold up surprisingly well. They are only as good as their foundation.
+Puabond yup yup
Lasted a whole year? Very impressive! LOL

Looks great I'm getting the round addition not the peak. How wide is the actual tarp not 20 long but the width.

ill do a video this week for you about it
Stay taut.
Robert Taylor huh ?

2015, how is it doing? Also, how is the moisture level inside? I wanted to store a car inside over the winter to keep it dry...

+Kevys Rc & Music Good to hear, thanks. I've hear the round top ones are better for snow and on these if you use PAM on it, snow wont stick. Ha!
+Neville Black Pam and really hot sunlight would not go well for the materieal covering
@OverSoulMatrix33 There actually not that bad to do. Just make sure you have them encored down good. That's the important part.
Is the the cover material that it comes with???
that is the cover that comes with it, and she is still standing good and strong and its now 2013

Thanks for the review good job!!
looking to purchase one over here in the u.k.£322,you lads pay 250 dollars do we get ripped off or what.
we pay 600.00 not 250 we can get them for 250 when they are on sale for 50% off
cheers kevin,i will let you know how i get on.
john whitehead K Cool
+john whitehead where did you buy from in the uk?...thanks
a place called machine mart
HI, I just found one on CL for $100.
its 3 years old, 2 winters,
Do you guys that own one think it is worth buying or not?
let me know
Thanks
Dave
i still have mine and its doing well and when its time ill buy another one
i got one for 100 dollars too. it is a struggle to assemble
The roofs dry rot from the Heat
i never had that problem
@@KevinMillard68 well aren't you lucky I've had two of them and replaced both of them and there's only one way to put them up
@@albrynteson9953 you know the tarp is suposed to be tight and your supposed to keep them cleaned off in the winter as well right ,,.
i doubt it would survive a riot but you never know till you try i guess
there exists a single car portable garage that is shaped better for rain and wind, also collapses in 5 seconds. i think that's more logical. lol
ya well this one will handle a hell of alot of snow wind and rain on it and no problems, and i dont have a need to take it down so to me thats fine.
They're a good building for a one year and then their junk not worth the money
i had mine for several years only took it down because i moved and had no place to put it at the new place also if you dont set them up right they wont last at all period
Wrong. Buyer beware!!!!
if you dont assemly right then its your bad mine lasted me over 5 years no problem and you need to mount it to a proper fram as well
