- CIA vs. NSA - How do they compare? This video goes over the similarities and differences of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and National Security Agency (NSA). Both the CIA and NSA are intelligence agencies of the United States.
While they are both intelligence agencies, their missions and purposes can be quite different. Despite their differences, there are joint programs between the CIA and NSA, as well as units within them that are quite alike. If you want to know more about the CIA and NSA, their missions, training, special operations, and much more, watch this video!

Can you do the DIA I really wanna know more about it
I know yall do mostly D.O.D how about one in other cabinet security forces if they have them. Like treasury, state, D.O.E and others would be interesting
Yeah please do DIA or something like the DCIS.
Hey General, you wouldn’t happen to be able to do videos on private military contractors, would you? I’d really like to see what you can find about Wagner Group.
Can we get an episode on the super secretive California Department Of Justice Bureau Of Investigation?
The NSA is so good at its job that everyone blames the CIA

I worked at NSA for just 2 years, and before 911. The CIA guys that were also there were much more "spooky". They didn't have their names on their badges, we did. And it seemed obvious that they weren't letting you know their real name. Most active duty military had to wear their uniforms. The lucky few that get to travel to other countries often got to wear civilian suits to work. I think the groups and departments should be easy to find online. But in just my 2 years the names of the divisions (inside of a department) would change names once in awhile. No telling what is going on thes days. They were just starting to put up extra security entry points when I left. Anyone was able to just drive up to the outside of the parking lot when I was there. I imagine after Sept 11 things must have gotten much more strict.
yeah operations Northwoods changed everything
This is the CIA delete this shit 🔫🤣
Operation two toes changed everything
Operation Dental Floss changed everything.
not surprised if after someone calls 911 that the police start popping up every now and then plus if anything looks suspicious they would obviously check it out.

NSA is controlled by the Director of National Intelligence. The main duties of NSA are to manage global monitoring and processing of information for overseas intelligence uses. Currently, the most significant study issue of NSA is signals intelligence (SIGINT). Furthermore, in reality, NSA often cooperates with many other network and information agencies in the U.S.A for security missions
Wut are we gonna do when we ask China for money and they say no lol. Were going to war
I know someone who works with the nsa deputy director a lot. They are someone who gets called into work literally at any time of the day or night just a few days ago they were called in to work at 2 am they hold meetings and even classes on how to do Intel publicly in dc. They know a lot more than they let out. He hates Edwards Snowden ( a hero in my eyes a true patriot) and part of the screening process is to ask about Snowden how the new people feel about him and his work etc. The part that drives me nuts is I am a person who wants to know everything about the USA and what is going on around the nation. And anytime I ask about it they say "i can not confirm nor deny" and I get stopped there.

You guys should do private military comparisons. Also at 3:59 those vests were really cool. I was issued one for my old private security job. They have a connector on the back where you can hook up your BPV so the vest doesnt fly off in high wind. But kinda sucked because the top two breast pockets are just open to the bottom shared pocket space. Its to act like a backpack/scabbard/hiding spot. But in my time i only ever needed it to store trash so i didnt litter my work area
Whats the plate carrier called?
What company were you with? Would you recommend working for them, or another company? (I’m hoping to get a job like that when I’m out of the marines)
Boys, I think it would be great if you added a recommended reading list for these agencies and the others you've done (I'm assuming you run across a lot of them doing your research). You could also talk about the various commands (SOCCOM vs. JSOC; (CIA) DO vs. DI - and possibly even the various PMC's, as they're operating as surrogate military units anyway. Last, there's a channel call 'Liveth for Evermore' that details various missions carried out by the units you cover. Including some of that information would add depth the the video's, and make them longer, which we all want and would also bring in more ad revenue. I'm sure it's hard to get a lot of accurate details about fresh ops, but some of the stuff from 2001 and through say 2011 is old enough to get enough info to discuss the actual ops carried out by the units you cover.
P.S. - As always, love the channel - we're all glad you started it and want you to be as successful as possible.
P.S.S. - Still waiting for powerlifters vs. bodybuilders ...
Liveth Forevermore is an outstanding channel
Thanks for doing this video. I always wondered about the differences between these two.

Cool stuff. What do you know about the MICEP Program? A guy recommended I applied to that program when I graduated college, unfortunately I didn't do well enough on the language aptitude test and was not able to further pursue it.
A year late but hear is the info you were asking about. The Military Intelligence Civilian Excepted Career Program(MICEP) is tasked with recruiting, training and developing a dedicated civilian intelligence workforce to conduct sensitive intelligence and counterintelligence operations missions worldwide. The program operates from Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.
MICECP employees, in Intelligence Operations Specialist Job Series (0132), are actively recruited, trained, and assigned to conduct highly specialized operational intelligence functions within the Army. The MICECP is an operational career management program that requires its members be dedicated to the missions of intelligence and counterintelligence. Members must agree to a mobility agreement and be willing to be assigned and reassigned according to the needs of the program. Hope this helps. Good look and take care.

9:58 It's possible to get a job at the CIA without a college degree. However, most CIA jobs require candidates to have at least a bachelor's degree. Aspiring CIA agents, operations officers, analysts, computer specialists and more all need to get a four-year degree before applying.
Most CIA jobs that don't require a college degree are clerical or administrative positions. These types of positions typically ask that applicants have a high school diploma or GED. Other CIA jobs that don't require college degrees may ask candidates to have certifications instead, such as from a technical or trade school.
@@elgoog7830 Interesting 🤔
@@elgoog7830 The easiest way to join the NSA is to join the military under a SIGINT based specialty. You'll get the training, make the contacts, and there will be a civilian equivalent if you decide you enjoy that kind of work.
The interesting part here is “the degree”. In light of what empirical evidence shows us regarding the consistence of that actual content is, why would an intelligence agency have any interest in a candidate that has merely endured four year of indoctrination, and little to no actual practical training?
will you ever make a video on all the military branches fire departments?
Army 17C, 35S, Navy CT/N,R and even ITs can be sent to NSA sites. Idk about the other branches but I would assume its the same

As always an amazing video and I was militarily intelligence back in my military days
@GeneralDischarge Hey I am about to enter college and was thinking about joining the air force after. I have a heart condition though. Would I be able to join?
I thought both of these agencies were spy guy groups. Doing secret squirrel stuff. Looks like a bunch of high speed low drag commandos.
What makes a set of good attributes in making an assassin, fuck yeah
Very few of the CIA personnel are actually commando types. Usually those guys are recruited directly from the U.S. Army's Delta Force and other military tier 1 units. Matter of fact, CIA mostly contract/use active duty delta force members for their operations. SAD/SOG guys will be attached, but its the DoD tier 1 units that usually take charge.
@@em34ev3r Good to know. Never heard of any groups like these two. Was just a mortar crewman in the US Army. Did see a few intel reports about North Korea when I was stationed in South Korea, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey. I didn't really believe much about those reports. I didn't see anything straight from CIA. Just stuff from Division level that came down to Company level for us Infantry and the tanker guys.
NSA certainly is a spy. They just spy digitally and anything that is signal.
The CIA uses commandos for paramilitary operations which is one of many field operation units within the agency

How about the DIA?
What’s the diff between an Army Ranger and a Marine Raider?
Does a Ranger’s shorter training time change their effectiveness?
Raiders seem to be more similar to SF because they both focus on foreign internal defense (they did a video comparing the two). A better comparison would be rangers vs force recon.
Marine Raiders do direct action, foreign internal defense, counter-insurgency, VBSS, special reconnaissance etc. Army Rangers are mostly direct action, special reconnaissance, personnel recovery, large airborne & air assault, capture of enemy bases (particularly airfields). Marine Raiders are a mix of both. In terms of training, Marine Raiders have a longer training period than Army Rangers and have more skills than them. Although Army Rangers lack certain specialized skills like freefall, dive, mountain operations, cold-weather operations, tactical driving etc, they are still very good at what they do, they are America's premier raid force against HVTs.
@@doc.l Army Rangers are more comparable to Marine Raiders than Force Recons. Force Recons are more of reconnaissance, surveillance and intelligence gathering covertly and clandestinely against the enemy in support of MAGTF commander and ground forces, though they are capable in direct action but they are limited on this mission. Force Recons are more comparable to the Army's Long-Range Surveillance Units (LRSUs), who in around a 6 men team, conduct long-range reconnaissance and surveillance on enemy targets deep behind enemy lines for higher echelon command (usually division or higher), just like the Force Recons conduct such intelligence gathering missions deep behind enemy lines in support of Fleet Marine Force (FMF) the highest echelon command in MAGTF. In addition, since Force Recons are a mairitme force, they have additional maritime missions like VBSS, maritime interdiction, underwater demolition, sabotage of enemy harbors and vessels etc.
@@dallasyap3064 Rangers aren't comparable to Force recon or Raiders. Both Marine pipelines are more rigorous and they both cover greater mission sets.
@@johntaylor4513 u are not wrong. Both Marine Corps units' pipelines cover greater mission sets and skills. Army Rangers definitely aren't comparable to Force Recons (maybe u confused me with the other guy). As for Raiders, the Rangers are only comparable to them in terms of direct action and counter-terrorism missions, not all missions.
The music?
Personally I’d love to be in either. I like being in foreign countries so CIA would be a dream job. I work in IT so an NSA gig would be pretty awesome, unfortunately I’m no where near that lvl and I know it. I can’t see the NSA really worried about mandating degrees. Some of the most computer savvy people I know don’t have degrees what so ever. While I know quite a few guys with CS degrees I wouldn’t let them touch my pc. In fact one guy I work with can’t even map a network printer, or map a network drive without asking questions. He has a 4 year degree in CS.
Went to high school not too far from NSA. I remember they were recruiting juniors and seniors to do internships there.
Or you could take your talents and be freelance.Infosec is a huge field that takes everyone.
so you would love to become a domestic terrorist and subjugate your fellow american people
The degree thing applies to pretty much every department within the federal government. Which is why they are so inefficient. For example, the DEA will take a 21 year old with no work experience straight out of college because he has a degree, over a guy with multiple years of local law enforcement experience on a narcotics unit.

@@dallasyap3064 It is true. You can just google duty stations for 35P in the Army and Cryptologic Linguists for Air Force and coincidentally Fort Meade and Gordon pop up. The main east coast NSA stations happen to be at both
My father was a cryptologist in the NSA during Desert Storm era, but went straight into the Navy after high school so after watching this I was confused how he got in. He doesn’t and can’t say much about what he did, only that he worked close with satellites and what not and was based in Turkey. I hope one day I get to hear more about this from him. After his 4 years he went to college and got his engineering degree. From 2004-2007 he was back and fourth to Iraq as a contractor working on the power plants over there, and then went back in 2013 before the job ended quickly due to the threat of ISIS taking more territories. He has lots of stories from those times.
Correct. I enlisted after High school and my MOS was 98G, PY, SP, IT.
Ask not what you can do for your country but what you can do with the training of your country
Talk about budget comparisons?
Can you do one on Sam Fisher
ODNI and DIA would be dope.
Is this the guy from Funker530 live streams talking? Just going by the voice pauses, etc..
Nope!
Both are good!
So I've been working on this housing spread and this river stream and Creek to rainfall and maybe Gideon and the castles which could actually transmit over into like a base or computer or data or whatever you want to call it but in the housing spread like instead of using solar panels you use like a mineral light source kind of like a inside out reflector which I was also looking at the a calculator heat coil but with The housing you can lay singles with that coil or maybe even the inner rotation spread of floors and you later different block depths with your rivers and your creeks and your streams which is if you can get your farm in the correct rotation of them you could ultimately possess your own light mineral light now you might have to have a smaller calibrated Sun or you use the rise and fall of different mathematics and if you you something like war games or I'm just saying as a caliber style but also I forgot if you use I've been looking at how to learn how to roll logs and have them stationed out with like sprinkleware or designed color principles that would reflect up in the atmosphere which could give you a empty circle or colored circle like a light bowl and you could have multi-directional spins and heights because of the different mineral structures you could design and if you learn the farm and correctly with flowers and whatever else you can get the spread properly and you could always be inducing pheromones to produce your minerals but I'm also thinking if the mass correct in the math you can alternate the gravity features in it maybe go inside play games
Can you do one on DIA vs ISA
NSA vs ISA would also be cool
If you are interested in a potential career with the NSA a could way to get a leg up on the completion is through the military cryptology programs you will work very closely if not directly for them great to make connections gain skills and distinguish yourself.
They do work together. The Central Security Service (CSS) is basically to integrate NSA and military signal and cryptology elements, and have them work together.
For the CIA, read Amaryllis Fox’s book. Pretty straight forward about her personal and professional path.
Her Path? What path ? Path to subvert and destroy the U.S. Constitution and reduce freedom, liberty, democracy and turn America into a one party Socialist/Communist Third-world system, where Conservatives are ordered to shut up or receive 80 years chained down in prison ?
