Conan had a lot of rockabilly and psychobilly bands on his show over the years. I met him once in Seattle and he asked if I had any friends with good bands (I had a pompadour and an old car). I gave him a list and he actually put one of them on!

Years later he sat down at the table next to my wife and I in Jake’s Steakhouse in Billings MT before his show in a little dive bar. Had a quick conversation and photo op with him. I've only seen them 8-9 times but spanning 35 years from 1987 in Miami opening for the Ramones to March 2022 in St Petersburg. I can't think many bands that were playing in '87 that I would still care to see today.

I remember seeing these guys live at a popular bar called ‘The Bucks Club’ bear and a burger for a buck and this trio ripped the roof off ever time I saw them in the early 90’s. Amazing……gloriously LOUD….in the best way!
I saw these guys in the backyard of the Delta House during Fry St Fair in 1989 at the University of North Texas. They were up and coming but still pretty unknown and played with the band Billy Goat who played their "Nurture my Pig" album live, also in the back yard. Tripping Daisy may have played that year or the next but they rocked as well. There was a lot of tripping going on for several days, it definitely lived up to its name. The Corkscrew, Jim's Diner and the Flying Tomato were all on that street. Several years ago the entire block was torn down for apartments and a Walgreens I think.
I saw a video of Conan playing Blue Moon of Kentucky on TV well playing guitar. It was actually really good. It was a little sloppy, but when you cross music with that kind of showmanship and charisma he has, I'm surprised that guitar didn't catch on fire!
