So thanks for the video. What's your honest opinions on this drone? Does it actually have much of a use case scenario for vloggers? It's looking good for following people that are running through the nature or cycling slowly doing some nice follow me footage on other vlogs I've seen, but for walking I'm not so sure because people would rather view from the side or from the front and it doesn't seem to track from the side or the front like the other ones can. As for the other modes it has, I don't think it does them very well. It seems a little bit slow doing the circle and it seems a little bit jittery. And then of course you're going to need extra batteries. And I'm not sure if that footage is going to really make any difference anyway to the quality of vlogs. Probably just better off getting a regular standard drone, no? Can you please do another video where you are just vlogging as normal incorperating some neo footage, to see what it ends up looking like in a real world vlogging use scenario? Much appreciated. This would really help. Thank you.
Hi and thanks for watching and the comment. Am off soon on a fishing trip bit the videos and drone footage of that won't be out til next week. Bit if def be taking and using it as a vlogget. To answer your question, it's does have a mode where it can follow you from anywhere that you launch it. I.e from the front, rear side etc. Little bit jittery in the wind. It's a small drone. Very handy. I'm pleased with it and will use it on many vlogs. I'll put thru my software though, I use davinci resolve. I'll edit if required, stabilise more if necessary. I recommend this drone. I paid £180 pounds out of my pocket. Sold a few bits, bought this. It's good, not great, good. And handy to have in your kit.
You are the first reviewer of the Neo that I have seen, and I have watched a lot, that spoke about voice activation. I can see why. Thank you for the info.
It's ok. In a quiet environment. Bit like lots of voice activated cameras etc. I can't see myself using it a lot. Thanks for watching. Few more test runs to film yet. Plus 1080 v 4k.
Very good picture quality on the camera John and I also like the propeller guard's because when drones crash it's the propellers always get destroyed first nice product.
Im Canadian and had MUCH problem understanding you lol I felt better when even the drone was saying, "Sorry cannot understand you" Lol But it was a great intro to Neo. Unfortunately I have had my Neo for a couple of weeks and still cannot link it. Getting VERY frustrated. When connecting, I have to switch to my local WiFi network, but then it still get "Check Network connection and try again" . I am getting to the point of making it fly with power off. (get my drift) LOL I have tried to download Assistant2 but cannot. Once I got it to connect but it initiated its own Network "DJI-NEO-71EA" but requires a password. Where do I get it? Please help....
All done and now in the description. Don't forget to shop around. I've had the tripod years but there are plenty of cheaper and equally good models about. Or look for a good used one.
Well there was I thinking about strapping on the osmo pocket 3! I may give it a go. Obvs the camera would be fixed but could be a bit of a laugh. I'll try it out if it's possible! Thank you.
Love mine (first drone) but should have bought the combo, had to buy extra batteries and the controller to change picture quality settings and versatility. I’m aiming to use mine for travel and motorcycle touring… PS. DJI are already out of stock for batteries.
Lucky I ordered battery the other day. I went for basic kit cos wasn't sure if this drone would be any good. I'm hoping the app will be updated so we can edit more settings. Hows the quality now you can edit sharpness? I'm looking at getting a used controller off ebay. Not sure. Also hoping for a neo 2 or pro! Thanks for watching.
Just got email from DJI. Shipping delay on the battery! Thank you for your great support of DJI. We have experienced an unexpected delay with your order. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. I think I'm stuffed for a bit! Needed that for some upcoming trips as well!
Definitely worth it for the money. I bought it standalone. Pretty cheap. So handy. Another battery coming in the post. Can't wait to use it more. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@Life_of_John no worries mate! I have a mini2, but since I lost my legs, I accidentally ran over it with my wheelchair. This gets me back in the game!
Ideal. Don't even need a controller. Shame the mini 2 controller doesn't work with the neo. I'd love the goggles but they are so expensive. Good luck. Enjoy flying.
I'm on a budget. Bought the drone on its own. And another battery. That'll do for me. I bought mini 2 full kit and hardly used it all. I'm trying to pack this all into a small travel kit. I'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
@@Life_of_John Why do you think you are not using the mini 2? Is it just to cumbersome or what exactly. I'm thinking about buying a drone but also wondering if it's actually going to be used enough to make it worth a hassle. Cheers.
@@spirittravels. The mini 2 was great. I'd see the sunrise and sunsets and go out with my drone kit especially to take videos and photos. It's a great drone also for even using on some paid for work. Roof surveys etc. But tbh, as a 'trying hard to be' content creator, I wanted a drone I could launch up, and follow me about. Do a few shots of me fishing etc. The neo doesn't need a controller, fits in my small camera bag with my few other little vlog cameras, and off I go. It has some great built in modes, dronie, follow etc. The mini 2 is great but the tech imo is getting old. I'm not sure dji support the transmission on it anymore. You can't use the newer controlloers or Googles etc. You can with the neo. If you can afford it, go for a newer drone. For me, the neo is really good. Can't wait though for the mk2 or pro model. Which I have a feeling they'll release in 2025.
Gonna try and get out later and shoot 1080/60 and 4k. It is only a 1/2 inch sensor so not sure how far dji can push image quality even with a firmware update. Keep an eye out and I'll post asap. Thx
