Why our Generation is much more comfortable but much less happier?

This generation is more comfortable then previous generation but is our generation happier? Without purpose the happiness is very difficult to find. Happiness usually is a by product of having a purpose in your life that you truly believe in and are willing to work to make it happen in sha Allah
