Don't look back (ooh, a new day is breakin')
It's been too long since I felt this way
I don't mind (ooh, where I get taken)
The road is callin', today is the day

My wife always says “you’re living in the past listening to that music “. To which I say “have you seen the future?” F that. It may be 2024 outside, but my music will forever stay 70-80s
Love it!!! Good on you - couldn't have said it better 💯
Hell yeah!🚬 😎
You are so right. Many of my friends that were around when this song came out are gone. Many friends I met after this song came out are gone. Seems like the days and those I know are slipping away faster as time goes on. Do you drink to remember, or drink to forget?

THE best vocals.

What about Phil Collins or the lead from Journey?
Agreed. Raw talent. Vocals, Drums, Guitar all of it!❤

You hit that right on the head.
Imagine being 14 in 1978 taking this for granted thinking that music would always be this amazing.
We loved in the best times❤❤
I was there.
Listening to them now, takes me right back there.
I was 22 when this album came out. I thought I had hundreds of years ahead of me. Now, at 66, reality takes hold. I loved this music and being 22.
I was 12 years old in 1976 and Boston was one of my favorite bands! Many greetings from Germany
I wouldn’t change my childhood in the 70’s for today for any amount of money. My kids will never understand how free we all were and the music will go down as the best in history. Love Brad’s voice
My wife always tells me, "You are stuck in the 70s". Well, here I am in 2020 and still stuck. Boston has talent. edit : 2022 Boston still Rocks and I’m still stuck. 2023 and still stuck. edit : 2024 and still stuck in the 70s.
Nobody can help it if everything was better 40 years ago and everything in 2020 sucks, right? That is why I live in the past too!
I sir, Am also a product of a bygone era. Just a better time to be alive. Not as much of the B.S. thats so common today..
My wife tells me I'm stuck in the 80's. I'm here in 2020 and I told her I'm stuck in the 70's too.
My wife says same thing
Hey, I'm 20, and I'm hooked. Still follow Barry Goudreau on FB with his new band, and he's such a regular guy. None of the pompous nonsense of you know who that tore this bunch of guys with so much chemistry apart. Talk about using people...and I didn't hear that from past members. I gathered it all from Scholz's own videos about himself. Didn't seem to trust anybody. Sad.
I love how happy everyone is in this video. What a time for music.
On point. After all the hulabaloo from the first record, pressure to now better yourself, and just being young and seeing your dream coming true, great to see they're all friends. Once ya hit the stage, it's all good!
I love all the smiles! So many past present and future smiles too! 2024!!
Most of them were fired not too long afterwards
was thinking the same thing
Underrated, Brad Delp was, w/o doubt, one of the best vocalist in rock history. He had a pure sound unheard in any song by any other vocalist.
He will be sorely missed.

The harmony can't be touched, the riff can't be fucked with, the fro can't be duplicated. Boston= Legends.
so true
I still get lost in there music everytime I hear it. Think Tom Scholz is a genius. To think, write, and play everything but the drums himself, what a talent!
Joe Permenter absolutely a great comment
@@happydays8171 He played the drums too. The only thing he didn't do was the singing. There was no "Boston". That was a name the record company came up with.
Good to know.
I'm sure Tom didn't play the drums, it was some other guy I can't think of now. But the record label didn't want Tom using him, don't think they liked him, so Tom got Sid Hasien to play. His fro and beard made him very likeable. I thought he stood out.
Boston. One of the few albums I can truly enjoy from start to finish. Today at 62 still just as strong as in high school.
One of the best bands around.😊
Ay I just made 63 they were cold as ice..truly the best...

I agree every album is a gem! I also can listen from start to finish and not say, “Skip” on any of them! He had such incredible range and power that not many can match!
Absolutely one of the best 70's bands !
My third favorite seventies band named after a place!
Actually, probably my second favorite. They were amazing
Why is Boston not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?
I was then 28 , in Abu Dhabi looking for tape for my cassette. A Jordanian told me "try this " I said "what's that ? It's new "BOSTON" made in Indonesia clear sound. I bought it. Upon reaching my hostel..I played it with my Akai sound system using JVC Speakers. I played first "don't look back", all my Filipino co-workers came to my room asking where I got it..later on that evening , all my friends got their own Boston cassette tapes. Good old memories. I'm now 73 and still dig it..Boston forever.
Boston forever... always...
One of the few bands that not only changed music but sounds as fresh today as they did 45 years ago.
I can play this so often and never become tired of Boston. Was my era and i got to see them live back in the late 80s. Keeps me young at heart, and always will

I agree seventies were awesome and this band is awesome.😊

I was 16 in 1978 so totally get you. I had kids late in life - they are only 8 and 10. Just now I tried to get them to come and listen to this awesome song and they both just buried their heads back in their phones Their loss.
The world lost an incredible voice when Brad Delp passed.

Tom Scholz created 95% of that album by himself in his basement. The album existed before Boston the band existed. He invented devices to give him the sound he heard in his head.

It would be embarrassing for them to be in the same Hall of Fame as Madonna.

Time for acceptance. You can't grieve forever.
He lives he is still with us 😌
One of my favorites rock bands! RIP Brad Delp. One of the best vocalist in rock. He was really great.
Yes he was right up there with steve perry
😋✊🏽💦💦💦🤤
And he was a very nice person. Did you ever hear about his Beatlejuice? He loved the Beatles and performed with his own group called Beatlejuice, amazing, sounded like John or Paul... and he performed for high schools and not just large venues. You can find his stuff with Beatlejuice on youtube, and even a documentary, sort of, about his Beatlejuice. A very nice person.
Sandra Molina verdade:)
Jason Williams , thank you!
Boston is truly rock and roll at it's very roots. You can't say you like rock and not like Boston.
👍👍👍👍
i remember getting off work, depositing my pay check and going to get this album only to be told it was sold out. So I drove 60 miles to Portland and picked it up there. Great drive down the Columbia River Gorge.
I was high school when these guys first hit and their sound ages so well! Great band.
Same here ! I agree 100%
Yep, me too. I was a Junior in High School, and they are still m y favorite band of all time. We were lucky to grow up with the best music ever.
Ditto.... Best days of our lives....
I hear ya Matt. I had one of THE FIRST original Boston self titled LPs when it was released on the east Coast. And I saw them in one of their very first concerts, but I was mildly disappointed. I think performing Live was still so new to them? But I still get found memories when I hear their Music. This song is brilliant, and “Hitch a Ride” and Foeplay?LongTime, about the best, at least they are my favs! Peace!

Who Couldn't like Boston??? They Rocked the 70's!!!
BOSTON was the greatest band i saw in the 70's they were as good or better live and that's hard to do.
This music is timeless! Most music comes in a passing trend or fad,. This music continues as fresh and original as when I first heard it. Boston is the only music that I owned on 8 Track, LP, Cassette, CD, Thumb Drive, and Digital! The chemistry of the Vocal, Guitar, Drums, and Lyrics is unmatched. No band sounds like Boston because there are bands and then there is BOSTON!
Truly amazing...I agree
Yes! Great description. You said what I couldn't figure out how to say.
Agree one of my favorite bands.
The instrumental link RIFF from 2:38 to 3:08 is freakin EPIC!!
