Marty Music what songs were u playing or were u just jamming randomly? Pls get back to me
Marty Music salute bro I’ve learn a lot with you, I got the same epiphone and I think you should mentioned that the epiphone has split coil and can sound like a strat or tele on single coil mode but anyway keep it up
Like the strat marty
you all prolly dont care at all but does someone know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Keagan Quinton Instablaster :)
Make a video about the white Strat. It's my favorite out of all your guitars.
It's pretty badass
Marty: uses memes for thumbnails
also Marty: man it hurts to be this hip
When did marty become a memelord?!
An ancient memeking showed up at my front door and gave me all of his power. The rest is history!

Wow your timing is so perfect, I literally needed this rn
Girivinay Padegal same
Hey Marty, just wanna say thanks for basically teaching me guitar, your videos have helped me a hell of a lot in learning over the few years I’ve been playing, I appreciate it man
True that. Thank you Marty.
Love the thumbnail. Your meme game is on point!
I literally subscribed 5 seconds before this was posted. I was learning under the bridge and it popped up on my screen. So glad I found this channel
Thank you for the support! More videos coming everyone's way...

You lucky you found it this is the best way to learn some riffs or some techniques since that Marty is very good at explaining
Marty could you do some Thin Lizzy lessons you meme god.
I love this! I'm using a Schecter Scorpion with EMGs 81/85 straight into a Marshall Mode Four. Saw a local band one time and they had to take a 15 minute break for the guitarist to troubleshoot his pedal board. Made me strive to find a rig with no nonsense. Let the amp do the work.

Marty with the copywrite dodge lol
LOL🤣
I have a Strat with an HSS Humbucker at the bridge, and 4th generation noiseless two single coils up top. Haven't really noticed too much of a difference when using the Humbucker, vs my Les Paul Tribute which has two Humbuckers 490 R/T. Point is you can now make a Strat sound pretty much however you like these days. I specked mine out from the Fender Mod Shop.
2:44 Don’t let me down by The Beatles 😍
the one thing that i’ve learned is that when you hit that plateau of learning the best way to not get demotivated is to chase a tone, weather it be your favorite artists tone or jist make some weird tone, and honestly buying more guitars, and pedals and the things i wish i knew about, definitely look at nicer amps for a good tone.... also i was scared to buy more than one guitar cause i was at a flat spot on my playing, but honestly owning a squire strat (i really only use this for chords cause it’s not really the best but great for $300) and a MIM tele (personally i couldn’t rationalize buying an American one) and THE BEST GIUTAR IVE BOUGHT the acoustasonic jazz master, which lets you chase any sound you want:) i’m still not getting technical better but my tone is getting very good and it is different from guitar to guitar. honestly jist enjoy the ride:) also i love your videos
Many thanks!
Right now I’m in class but got notifications on and now I here😂 amazing video!!!!
Awesome! Been looking for the way to that blues sound with my Strat. Thanks! 👍
Both guitars look and sounded great marty . Q. In your opinion what kind of head room do you think this amp has . Also is it a amp that takes most FX pedals
As some amps have little head room and /or most pedals sound awful . So please can you give me your opinion . If you respond or not ... thanks for what you do .
Master Marty laying down some knowledge
I always hit the Strat switch when strumming! Ahhhrrr
Nice amp.Really nice tone knobs.
Loving the funk tones on the strat, I would love it if you could make a video about vulfpeck at some point.
Always love your vids, Marty!! Thanks for the information!! 🤘🏼
Stupid question, I thought the middle position on a Strat was the middle pickup, not all three together?
I'm loving these tone lessons.
A Marty ad within a Marty video. Nice
12:07 - Marty blows Marty's mind! ;-)
sometimes the amp is up to 11....
need to re-watch this video every time I consider buying a pedal, tone is really in the hands
Same here.. I was thinking to buy pedal
Marty, I thought the middle setting on Strats was for the middle pickup only. That is wrong?
No, he's just got a weird one.
One of the best UA-cam guitar channels 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾
Do N.I.B - Black Sabath please.
Gain knob is not a volume knob! :D
Cool demo!
At low vols i find the Blackstar OD channel to be a little too fizzy. At room vols, I prefer clean channel with vol at 3 o'clock with the master way low - gives that light crunch better than the slightly synthetic sounding OD-1 voicing.
Hey Marty nice video! Whats your opinion on the fender strats that have two single coils pickups and a humbucker? :D
Excellent Video Marty 👍🔥
Marty can you pleaseeee do teenagers by my chemical romance or any song of theirs would be awsomee
Yesssss
Great video idea again
The face Marty made in that thumbnail is gold
A tip for new players, like me, who can’t remember which pickup is turned on by which position of the selector switch on a les paul style guitar.
The up position is neck pickup, and when the switch is in that position, it is pointing to, or closer to, you the players neck! Same with the control knobs. The ones closest to your neck control the neck pickup.
This little trick helped me to never forget again which controls affect which pickups on the guitar.
Can you please do a Durutti Column lesson? I'm sure you'd find their music really interesting and fun!
3:47 isn’t Position 3 on a Strat the middle pickup only? Or am I wrong?
I was thinking that too. Is that right on all strats?
Just wstching this in 2021 and you guys are correct. On a stock strat, pick up selector switch in position 3 (center) is just the middle pickup. Not all 3.
it could be a alternate pickup configuration
I too have an Epiphone Les Paul and a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I also have a Boss Blues Driver pedal. I really don't know what Im doing with the amp and pedal
You are and always be the best online guitar teacher.
Very helpful video thanks Marty
What would be the best tone settings for a pop punk kinda sound?
Gota love the facial expressions along with the awesome playing
Sounded liked the hybrid picking from the Mike Harris guitar tour on the start.
That was the best thumbnail I have ever seen...
Thanks Marty!
I had an Ht40 Club great tones clean. The driven tones need to be cranked better for a big room. Blackstar should have put a power soak on that amp.
Plz help..My amp doesn't have eq options.. there's just a tone button..and lot of amp sounds settings like clean , uk 70s,etc..its a vox mini5 amp and i have a squire strat..wht to do..
That amp has a lot of "built in" amp profiles and effects, which hopefully makes it even easier for you to grab the right tone. I'm betting the tone knob makes it brighter if you turn clockwise and darker if you turn counter clockwise. It looks super cool, hope you enjoy it!
@@MartyMusic how do i get john frusciante tones ? Most of the videos are about dealing with the mid, treble nd bass which i dont have..
Marty, can you do a gear video on a the boss EQ or on any other EQ pedals? And same with reverb pedals.
Hey Marty, thanks for the tone tutorial on the Lp & strat tones using only amp settings!
White Strat sounds amazing- I really wonder who restrung it?...Dude must be a legend
Nice tips Marty
I have a Squier Strat (not saved enough for an upgrade yet) but when I have the amp on clean I just get a sudden urge to play Misirlou 😄 It's fun!
So I just got my first electric guitar (Jackson JS34Q) and I have an Ampeq BA-108 amp. Any recommendations on what settings I should put so that I can get a clean tone?
Yea uh I only have mid, treble, bass, and presence controls... wait I accidentally bought a bass amp when I started guitar. I'm looking at the Orange Crush 35rt, Fender Champion 40, or the Katana 50 for my next amp.
how 'bout the vox vt40x ?
Hey marty im looking in to buying a epi lp, but dont realy like the very blank fretboards, is yours just dry or is it just light?
This amp is fantastic, I know a have the same 🤘🎸🖤
YO Uncle Marty, I only have an acoustic but I’ll still drop a like :p
uhh okay?
Astijus Vainauskis uh okay what? Lol
SwiftBunnyOG Uh okay what lol? What? lol
Whatwhat in the butt
Metalheads, it's at 11:10
My strat's bridge pickup is a humbucker
It’s official, coolest music youtuber known to man
I'm trying to get the sound for Jessie's girl
Do I use the strat or Paul and what distortion?
what if your amp is a fender champion 20 whats the overdriven channel and whats clean and how do i get certain sounds like you do my guitar is a jackson with 2 nobs volume and tone control and it has humbucker pickups and a 3 way selector
Once again another great gear breakdown! Thank you!
My Ultimate tone is Simple since I have a 1967 Supro Thunderbolt, 1 Volume, 1 Tone, crank the Amp and use Volume and tone on the guitar to shape the sound
Did i need overdrive for nothkng else matters tune?
Marty is a master of memes
2:41 dont let me downn
I have an electric amp and was wondering if its normal that my amp does "buzzing sound" even with low gain? (its a Katana Boss amp)
hey Marty, love your vids find them super helpful, is there any chance you could do a lesson on how to get a tone like bon jovi/Richie sambora
Marty, you never disappoint
Any suggestions for a CCR tone( green river) and a Rolling Stones( can’t you hear me knocking)? I have a Vypyr 1 amp. So far I tried getting a ccr tone and it sounded too bright but I turned the highs and mods down and it still seemed to “loud”
Marty, I thought the 3rd position is just the middle pickup not all three.
Same thats how it is on my strat
I’m staying for the sick tones.
but you're staying for the sick tones, right?
Marty, you are the best!!
Damn I really enjoyed this one! Would love to see you recreate famous guitarist's tones with guitar and pedal combo.
I'm a beginner and I don't have any Pedals can I play guitar?
I think of the 4th position on the strat as the Cory Wong postition
Bro I love the Tumbnail XD
Hahahaha the thumbnails man!
Always interesting Marty !
Haha first when I read the title I though you meant the hilarious MIDI guitar sound from the "Ultimate guitar" app!
That stratocaster is sweet. I've gone overboard with this things now. Too many options.
Marty you are awesome man!!!!
Hi Marty and Marty fans! I hope someone can help me. I have a Princeton Reverb, it only has one channel and a two band eq (treble and bass). It is a tube amp. I heard such good things about this and, but I’m not getting good results so far.
I see people talk about the edge of breakup and tube overdrive? I dont really understand what these terms mean? I mean I’ve read the descriptions of what it means, the harder you play the more distortion you get. But I just don’t really hear it or understand it in practice.
Has Marty done a video on this concept and or how to set the amp to achieve this nirvana of tone? If so please link it, if not please consider doing one Marty. Thanks.
i dont have an amp, and i dont plan on buying one since my appartment building is filled butthurt oldies, so ive been using revalver and bias fx 2, along with other amp emulations, and i swear i feel like my guitar produces alot of noise for a stratocaster, and yes i know strats pickups have alot of him to them, but the whole signal is dark, and noisy, and when i try to play with the tone knob a bit, after just putting it to 1, the noise just get brighter and more obvious, i cant even test it out on a real amp to see if my guitar is the problem, or the interface, or the software, i hate this
For the middle pickup setting for a strat style guitar, is it all 3 pickups or just the middle? I always thought just the middle...
yeah just the middle
Should be just the middle, I came to the comments to see if he corrected it yet
ya good call@@cartertufts0401
Hey Marty do you think you could do a lesson on fell on black days by soundgarden
Terbaik
Hey Marty
Hey Quinton! Thanks for watching, subscribing, commenting, all of the above!
It means a lot to have you respond you got me to start playing guitar you are my inspiration

Marty, I wish you were around when I was a teen and figuring all this out on my own. I guess you were around but also a teen figuring it out all on your own.
0:49 Oxhorn intensifies
We turn the gain all the way up. Just because we can. Yeah! 🤟👩🎤
love ya Marty
Hey Marty can you do a lesson on “Get right” by Weezer? Any of their songs off of Pacific Daydream would be cool too. Thanks man!
