Thank you George.
You and your NAvion have done well.
Take care.
A very beautifully kept aircraft!
I owned a 1947 Navion and I sold it. I look at the price of planes nowadays and I know that I will never fly again.
I have a friend that owns a 1947 Navion, but this bird was completely rebuilt with a much larger engine with a 4 blade prop. He also installed a glass cockpit (Aspen). I found a program of the Navion for my flight sim and it really is a dream to fly both in the sim and in the air. If you have been to OSH, I'm sure you have seen his.
Wow! Nice! I am trying to learn about vintage light aircraft, and this is one I was somewhat unaware of. This is an important classic!
I’d love to fly that plane. I’ve seen a couple of them here and there. This is the first look I’ve had at the cockpit.
BEAUTIFUL Navion!!!!! Watch "Family Flight" (Made For TV-1972) Starring Rod Taylor and Kristopher Tambori.
I Remember That Movie & Probably Haven't Seen It Since Then & I Didn't Remember That It Was A Navion. Thank You.
I kept the E-185 engine in my 1948 A model. The last Navions, manufactured in the early 1970s, were fitted with O-520 engines that put out an extra 100hp. But those planes don't cruise much faster than mine and they burn more fuel. The Navion design isn't going to be speedy no matter what engine is installed. I really like the comfort, stability and handling of my Navion.
This guy is alright
My grandpa flies it
wheres the rocket launcher?
