  • Slednecks team rider and snowmobiling pioneer Chris Burandt, showcases his aggressive riding style in his segment from Slednecks 17. Chris, arguably one of the best all-around snowmobilers in the world, once again shows us how he pushes the limits of the sport taking technical tree lines and putting his sled in places most would never ever see. Chris Burandt has pushed backcountry riding to a whole new level.

    Born in Colorado and have spent 20+ years enjoying what the Rocky Mountains brews up... I'm hear to tell you that what Chris does in this video is pure athlete...

    Thanks for that last bit. Shows that Burandt is still human and makes me feel less terrible about my toddler-like boondocking skills.

      As a fellow Wisconsonite that likes to play around off trail, here's my advice- Find a hill or ditch with a decent slope on it and just practice leaning into the hill and finding the balance point. Assuming that's your sled in your prof pic, its gonna be a little harder since the edge chassis doesn't like to flip up on its side very easily but it can be done. Another thing is I put a 1.25" Ripsaw on my IQ and it makes a world of difference in loose snow. Any lug shorter than that is garbage off trail. Hope these little tidbits help out. Let it snow.

    If I couldn't have my cat I'd have a Polaris no way in hell I'd be caught on skidoo and as far as Yamaha goes pretty much the same as a cat now being they run are chassis

    • @ChuckBeefOG
      @ChuckBeefOG 9 років тому

      Except the fact they are all four stroke, and their lightest model is almost 200lbs heavier than an RMK. I would ride a Cat if i didnt have my SBA.

    • @mitchellkalina8191
      @mitchellkalina8191 9 років тому

      U wouldn't b caught dead on a ski doo? that's weird cuz all the new chassis' from Polaris and cat/yamaha r a copy of the xp which ski doo had 7 years ago back in 08. that's not to say the sleds r the same they definitely are not they each have their own feel. but they definitely followed the path ski doo set with the spars running from the front suspension to the tunnel. now they all have their own lightweight cutting edge designs

    • @ChuckBeefOG
      @ChuckBeefOG 9 років тому

      Mitchell Kalina I like SkiDoo and Cat about the same. It would be a toss up I think. I just think the Cats are the best looking sleds out there, and weight wise pretty close to SkiDoo. Etec is by the best engine out there.

      not unable, just smarter not to. witch is why only 1 company does it on a steady basis. and id love to see anything of this sort of video done on a four stroke Yamaha, how many years have they come out on top? personal preference very much differs from solid facts, ignorance is what keeps Yamaha a company.
