I canceled the order of my 2 extreme 3s because reviewers said that the app to pair them (as separate channels) is unreliable and the speakers break pairing connection often. For this price point they can't out perform the W-King's pairing technology????? My W-Kings pair and never break connection and no app required. The consumer wants ease of use and not complexity and unreliability.
Great review as always, did you try manually adjust the EQ of Soundcore Trance Go it sounded better than JBL X3 i have Rave Neo which is the same as Trance Go with lights, and its sounded so nice it took me a little time figuring the EQ setting.

JBL has best sound quality but I choose W-King. JBL is overpriced and soundcore for me is "meh". Tell you the truth, I own a D9 and it sounds much better live. Video's sound do no justice. Hear it live.
I highly recommend all UA-cam testers you centerline each speaker towards your microphone. The JBL is the only speaker center-lined thus it has the clearest sound. Also test your speakers from 25, 50, 75, and 100. Lastly if you spent the most money for one don’t favor it over all. Good review.
What would be nice is if they would provide us a firmware file with both options available in position 1 of the original and position 1 of the updated version. In other words both base options. I don't know why they don't set up a D9 site with 10 different firmware settings available and let us test them all and load the one we like most. Probably takes them 2 minutes to make several different EQ settings. Not sure why it's a problem, should be a no brainer and dominate the competition.
problem with offbrand speakers is the DAC shares the audio streams from one source to output one source compressed , good speakers have multiple source streams from its processor , thats why every Chinese speaker sounds muffled , its like using composite cable for a games console rather than hdmi

Except they don't sound muffled, they're perfectly clear and have a full, round sound unlike the tinny JBL. The JBL's highs are sharp and hissy at high volumes.

If price wasn't the issue I think the JBL Xtreme 3 is better w King has great Bass but it seems too much covering the rest of the sound Xtreme 3 seems to play cleaner with better quality Bass you can hear everything else going on except for some upper mid bass slam even if your mic can't pick up the sound of w King because of its base why do people underestimate the Sony Xb43 because it's usually tested in his default mode it sounds better than my Extreme 2 in a lot of ways anyway great video I would like to see them tested at different volume levels Extreme 3 for me when it goes on sale thanks

What's odd is that another popular guy testing these ran a test on the JBL at maximum volume and the bass greatly diminishes at max (unless plugged in). That's where the D9 excels and maintains its bass at max. This test, IF at maximum for all units, doesn't seem to reflect that fact. Is the JBL actually at max volume because I think we'd be hearing the difference and I also think the D9 would be much louder. Something doesn't add up.

Rave Neo's bass hits 50 Hz whereas the D9's starts from 60 Hz. I'd pick deeper bass with more warmth and reasonance than upper bass which sounds more artificial.
xtreme 3 sounds louder connected.. i think it would sound a litle bit better.. buut 350$ its insane... fucking jbl stop selling extreme prices.. 250 $ 280$ i think is a good price.. the w king is the winner here.. 1) w king 2) xtreme 3 3) soundcore.. ( i think the soundcore will sound much better with the eq tho)

@@nareshkeswani80 odd that the mic issue would only apply to the D9 when it's playing and not the other speakers. At any rate, between the D9 and the Trance Go/Rave Neo I would most likely have to go with Soundcore after my listening to the updated D9 and Rave Neo.

Volume level matters because at max the D9 gets better than at any amount of lower volumes. What level are these at in your recording?
for out door Test i kept them all the same but when i go with indoor test i usually play speaker at 50 / 75 /100 % of volume range

The Rave Neo in bang mode can get even louder. But the Xtreme 3 while plugged in would arguably sound the loudest among the 3.
