    You find as much in one hunt as I'll find for several months. You've got a great spot! Let's hope the next rain delivers some more beauties.

      I'd have to agree,I do have access to some rich sites.Likely they'll work the ground after it dries out enough and if rain falls just right I'll get another hunt, but once its disced a second time and seeded its off limits.:>(

    I'm learning... watching these videos helps me get it in my head. I've already realized I've thrown down some worked stuff...

      Appreciate the sub.There's a great deal of various worked lithics that some folks have no desire to collect so they just leave them.I however have the space to store them at my place.:>) GL

    Wow my friend. They are all beautiful points, some look like dart points because they are thick, some have parts that were not well carved and still have some of the crust of the original rock like that one that has an orange part. Very interesting finds. BLESSINGS.

      It's not uncommon in these parts to find less than classic examples, but to the contrary they made them to function in whatever it was they were doing Nothing too fancy to be found, but they have roughed good looks,LOL Thanks and Best of Luck on your hunts.

    I'd a figured you would have got a ton of rain from the hurricane. Here I'm S. Ohio it rained for 4 days straight. We pretty much have flood on the Ohio River and I'm chomping at the bit for the water to go back down. The thought of those 30 ft banks calving off like glaciers make feel like a child on Christmas Eve. Nice haul of artifacts and I hope you get the rain you want.👍♋

    • @FlintSpall
      @FlintSpall  15 днів тому

      We did get plenty of slow rain, in fact around 5 inches of it.The ground hasn't been freshly turned in these fields but I did very well.I bet you are chomping. I loose sleep sometimes anxious to get out there in it.Best of luck to ya!!

      @@FlintSpall Thank you brother and I hope you find your bucket list artifact next time you go. The stem cell treatment I got in Europe was a success. They stoped the tumor from growing and it's actually getting smaller. Surgeons at Ohio State are going to remove it Next month it's getting evicted. I feel fantastic and I ca.nt wait for the water to go down. I haven't been able to go hunting for several months. Put me in coach I'm ready to play.👍♋

    Heck yeah Laner, looks like another great day out in the field. I can’t remember if I’ve already asked you this but what Indian tribe do you think occupied that site? Judging from your neck of the woods, you thinking Shawnee or Chickasaw? What ever tribe it was, it must have been a pretty big encampment. Always enjoy seeing you pull points out of the dirt. Take care, bud!

    • @FlintSpall
      @FlintSpall  12 днів тому +1

      No doubt in the day I suppose the night sky was lit for miles because I only have access to two sites in the immediate area but in the past I hunted three more along the same waterway all within a mile of each other on ither side of the creek, but of the one's I use to hunt, I'd still return to these two(osg & SK) My understanding is my area was a designated hunting area in which all neighboring tribes from the E,W,N and S could come but had to be gone by first dogwood bloom.According to history for the last 400 yrs of ancient occupation that was the case, prior to that some may have been regulars.More than likely The Shawnee had the main hold.
