Would love for an adapter to come out to use ANY other universal 1¼" attacht with the vacs. So much more convenient throwing a 2ft hard pipe at the end for extended reach.
@@ricksgiggle8852 nope. I have a 1-¼" hard tube extension (Craftsman Chinese branded) that has worked with any vac hose that size, up until the M18 Fuel. Love not having to get a step stool out to hit ceiling corners. I also had to rob a friend of their bristle brush to use with the PO vac, as it doesn't come with one, and others don't fit. MAJOR engineering brain fart there. I'm sure someone will 3D print an adapter soon.
Even though it is a supposedly standard sizing of 1.25 inch it is in fact not a standard 1.25 in sizing because other 1.25 in industry standardized accessories don't fit the Milwaukee so it is in fact not standard even though it claims to be.... I have the M18 fuel stick vac and the M18 suitcase vacuum.. at least both of these vacuums use the same hose sizing so the accessories between the two are interchangeable.... Milwaukee should not be claiming that these vacuums are industry standardized 1.25 in because they are in fact NOT!
No...it says standard but I can tell you they don't quite fit. I like a brush end and again no good fits, I also use rigid tube for floor clean up...same deal no good fit. Very annoying...
I like this guys presentation. He has the right balance of humor and enthusiasm yet knows when to tone it down and speak normally going through specifications and testing.
Thanks Vince for doing a side by side. Look like both have there own advantages so until I can get the packout vac on a supper sale. I'm going to stick with the the standard vac for now. Great job. BTY hope all is well with you and your family. I was looking forward to the Saturday night HD walk through video.
Yo Vince! Great demo! I'm happy with my standard m18 wet/dry vac. Especially since I only paid $74 (tool only) for it during Ryobi Days 2020 at Home Depot. Take care and God bless! 😁👍
@barrios2293 The vacuum works great! The hose separating from it's coils has happened to me twice. Although, Milwaukee replaced the entire vacuum with a complete new one under the warranty rules. Having said that, you have to send the entire vacuum to them (on their dime but your time and effort) in order to have it repaired/replaced.
@VCGconstruction Did you have the fine dust particulate filter for the M18 fuel pack out that they say you should be using with the pack out unit? I would wonder if that makes the difference because that is one thing that I did not even know after having mine for an entire year that I actually should be using to pick up fine particulates like sawdust and sheetrocked us. Knowing that they use that small bag to collect that fine dust particulates I'm wondering if that added suction pressure from that would actually allow it to suck up that particular just as good if not better as the old briefcase back. I don't know why they don't really advertise the need for the foam filter for the water and the microfiber bag for the fine particulates but like I said after having an entire year I was unaware that there was even these accessories to buy with that Shop-Vac.
Hey, great video/test, it was just what I wanted to see. I didn't realise that the Fuel would vary it's power depending on the load in it. I want one of these vacs to use as a tool dust extractor, so it will never have any load on it, meaning the Fuel wouldn't ever give me full power, so probably wouldn't perform as well as the VC2. Thanks.
Hay brother happy Sunday. I have the older Milwaukee vacuum I will say it's a great vacuum if you're vacuuming up dirt or water just broke the hose fixed it with small black tape but I was thinking about getting the new one. God bless you Vince and your family and the VCG gang. Also make time to talk to a friend if you haven't seen for awhile before it's to late. Time goes fast. Love and Respect. 🙏
They are really missing a trick here: Should combine battery charging and shop vac. Plug into the mains and it charges the battery AND powers the vac. Unplug from mains and battery powers the vac. One less thing to carry!
The best 'suck for the buck' is that little ~$29 "Bucket Head" wet/dry vac that snaps on top of a 5-gallon bucket - been using it for HVAC service for years and it won't die. The house and an extension cord wrap up and fit neatly inside the bucket when you aren't using it or you're carrying it to/from the jobsite. Primarily use it for getting water out of 2ndary pans when A/C's have plugged condensate lines in attics - SUPER easy to pop the top off and carry the bucket down. If you have a helper or the home owner wants to 'help' you can do two buckets at a time and pass them down when they get half-full to expedite the process. It's kinda use-less for getting leaves of of condensing units during maintenances due to the smaller-diameter hose...but VERY useful at smaller tasks - DEFINITELY worth the small amount of space it takes up in the van (fits perfectly in a milk crate FWIW).
Giving the video some love. Followed the Link back from the HD last minute deals video :) Hey if you could, pass along this word of advise to Milwaukee - MAKE THESE AC/DC!!!! My guys like the DeWalts as they have that option. If you have the option, you have it. With Milwaukee, only battery!
My Issue with the small vacuum is the hose clogs where the hoes bends to go inside the vacuum all the time especially with sheetrock pieces and screws Anyone have a comment on the bigger one being better at not clogging, is the hose bigger?
I just burned up my old m18 last week & I bought packout version it last longer & has more power when under a load my old one was 2 years old & Milwaukee denied me for warranty repair
Next time see if it can "suck a golf ball through a garden hose" Take a ping pong ball, and attach BOTH vacuums to it on opposing sides, and pull apart. The one with the greater suction should still be holding on to the ball.
The fuel one has two speed switch right? Thus is convenient if you're using in a tool like saw etc!? My old Man 18 got stolen but I don't really see a huge difference in performance, was hoping for more. In the UK the price is about double on the fuel v M18...
Big hint for the hose it always gets stuck in vac if hose clogs its a Good 5 minutes sometimes trying to pull it out today I took my pocket knife and cut the little nipples that lock it in and took some sand cloth and sanded it a good amount now works smooth and if you use the blower the hose also still stays in but I'm telling you been using the standard two gallon since it first came out
Vince this test was awesome. You took this to the next level! Great job!! I use both of those vacuums on a regular basis. Actually I used both of them this morning doing some cleanup work. Love the Packout vacuum. The handle and on/off switch is great. Totally agree that the hose storage could be improved. The standard vacuum hose storage is way better. Great video. I hope you are doing okay! 👍🏻

@VCG Construction. My complaint with the nut and bolt test, it seemed 2 nuts were next to each other for the packoit vacuum letting it do the test after/easier. Second, even if the nut didn't go all the way down the hose, you could've sucked them into the hose before lifting it into the bucket. Granted, I understand it was to prevent clogging. In that case, line up each one evenly and suck each item one at a time for a 100% even test. Love the channel regardless! Edit: I don't have the packout, but it seems the add on tools have a slightly different design from the M18 version? Couldn't really tell. Which Milwaukee vacuum would be best to vacuum out my car
The packout would be perfect for my line of work as an apartment maintenance technician. Been dealing with a lot of AC leaks lately.

What do you think of the vacuum after 2 years I’m in the market to buy one
@barrios2293 The vacuum works great! The hose separating from it's coils has happened to me twice. Although, Milwaukee replaced the entire vacuum with a complete new one under the warranty rules. Having said that, you have to send the entire vacuum to them (on their dime but your time and effort) in order to have it repaired/replaced.
The thinner hose is what gives the vacuum more power because your not sucking up air but more material and that's what makes it a better vacuum.
This was awesome! Went to the hd and got the standard m18 for $100 super convenient vac
Hey Vinc I will exentully get the m18 vaccum. I watch every one of your videos to decide which milwaukee item to get next for Kustom Home Remodeling

They are really missing a trick here: Should combine battery charging and shop vac. Plug into the mains and it charges the battery AND powers the vac. Unplug from mains and battery powers the vac. One less thing to carry!
But they want you to buy more batteries and chargers. That would cut their profits.

Another awsome vid and great tests.
Surprised at how underpowered thee vacs were while trying to pick up nails and bolts though. Very interesting
I honestly thought they did pretty good for their size, but I appreciate your 411 cuz!
@@VCGConstruction very true, plus they did well with the sand and sawdust. Haha but I think you could have picked those bolts up faster by hand. 😅

I don't get it, when would you want your vacuum to not run full power? I don't remember ever using a vac and thinking "I wish this had less suction."
Uhuhhuhuhhh huhuuuuhuhh....
If you’re working in a client’s home and want to keep the noise down, or want to extend battery life, or simply don’t *need* full power
Should put up comparison to the new m12 vac

How would these vacs work with the high output but lesser amp/h 3.0 batteries?
Was that sand certified "research grade" sand?
Scientifically certified
Thanks dude, You do the tests that I wonder, "How the hell am i going to find out this answer"
