Got a chance to meet him briefly at Stars and Stripes Nationals back in 2019 when my son was racing. He was so nice to all the kids. My son left the sport after the 2022 season (he hated flat pedals lol) but I still cherish the memories of all the people we met over the years in bmx racing.
I was hyped for a minute the way you edited the video I thought he was going for another Run at gold. In the sport of BMX racing Connor Fields is the only name I know. I only follow BMX racing during the olympics. If I could go to the Olympics for any sport it would have to be BMX. But not racing I am all about that Freestyle BMX or park skateboarding. I am happy for all of Connor,s success and hope for all the best for him. Great ambassador of the state of Nevada
I'm 61. I raced BMX in So. Cal. when I was in my late teens (Orange "Y" track). When my son, Colin, was about 13 I took him and his neighborhood friend to a couple of tracks to try out racing. They weren't into it but I met some dads who were racing the cruiser class (24"). I was 39 at the time and I bought a Redline cruiser and raced for another five years. I was watching the Olympic BMX racing when Connor went down hard. I cringed. After all of these years, I'm glad I came across this video to hear his story and to see that he is healed and living his best life. I'm looking forward to watching the racing this summer. USA, USA, USA!
Conner Fields came on my show several times top romote Fly Racing. He expected too much from me and the guys at Fly and was very boring on the show. Connor will no longer be a guest on pulp MX.

He has alot of accomplishments, but he isn't even in the top 10 American racers of all time.
