One of the better clinics where the 1:1 actually provides edification in terms of physical processing through the mechanics. Love the progression and overall style of this tutorial. Lastly....practice + practice = success ✅
I started BMX Racing too late for it to be intuitiv for my brain and my muscles. Therefore I've been really struggeling for 4 years now to understand what I'm doing wrong when my jumps don't feel good, and what I'm doing right when they do feel good. I've been watching tons of videos and never found anything that could help me. Barry, your video is a diamond. It gives me all the keys I need to be consistant, feel safe and have fun on each jumps I clear!! Thank you so much for sharing your enormous experience. You're a great rider and a great coach!
This was really great to see. Watching I could remember compressing and popping to early. I love how you really helped these guys progress! Keep these coming!
Dude, you’re a phenomenal teacher, so well explained.
You got those guys hitting decent jumps at the end of the day!
What a reward as a teacher!
Freaking awesome video, Barry! Thank you, thank you! Can't wait to put these tips into action. We greatly appreciate all that you are doing, man 👍👍👍
Awesome! Love this kind of videos where instruction and progression are seen. Thanks, this helps me a lot!!
I can't thank you enough for posting this! This has been a game changer for me!
I swear I've watched so many how to jump video's, I know how to jump but he explained it the best. And the pretend there is a bar to get over on the jump helps the lift and pop.
This may be the most helpful how to jump vid i've seen! Love how you talk about how the technique applies to different types of lips. Just built a 5 ft jump in my backyard that is steeper than anything else I've ridden, this will help a lot! Thanks Barry!
I needed this big time! I went to a bike park for the first time a few weeks ago, and was getting bucked just like that. Thank You!!!
After decades of riding, this video explains so much, so well. Can’t wait till spring! Thanks.
Barry you're an awesome teacher and you have some sweet jump lines! I'd kill to have a setup like yours to progress on. Also, on behalf of everyone in the Bham area, THANK YOU for your hard work out at OMSP and pushing for more progressive trails with actual jumps. If you ever need an extra hand to help shovel some dirt, I'd be more than happy to help out. Bham has so much potential and we need to keep pushing for bigger features! Keep it up bro!
Thank you for this content! Broke my arm view months ago when jumping without understanding how it works! But now I do because your clear explanation! Gives my a lot of confidence to go out there again!! Keep up the good work!!:) greets from Holland!
Bruh, your coaching attitude is golden! Perfect explanation & motivation 🔥
Awesome! It's all about progression. No better feeling than landing a jump for the first time.
That was awesome to literally see their progress in one session. Epic!
THE BEST JUMPING TUTORIAL EVER! You made me fly!
Great video! Matt is a great rider. Guess he's progressing even more!!
Great video thanks again BARRY NOBLES for the great tips on jumping
The best video out bro thanks !!! Long time to waiting for something like this
super helpful video and coaching. It will help me with my weakness on jump lines and gaps. Just in time for bike park season. Thanks!!!
watch a lot of video of jumping, everyone have been missing last puzzle.
Finally one that actually go deep enough explaining it 😎🤘
Wow. So much wisdom here. Your coaching skills on point
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have been trying to figure out why I'm not making height on jumps and how to apply "bunny hop technique" for 4 years now. You made it abundantly clear with this video. Enthusiastically subscribed.
Mate that's a killer clip man.ive been getting into it for the last 2 years and this has just boomed my style up.so much info for a beginner mate.its hard when u got a job where u are out in the bush for a couple of weeks and when u get back everyone has a normal job and can't ride with u and ur just taking ur own time at it but u have no idea what u doing right or wrong
helps me understand what to focus on when practicing how to jump. Awesome!
This is such a great video.....how you explain the process really helps me understand what i am doing wrong! Thanks man!
Damn, you instructional videos are so good. Why couldn't we have UA-cam in the 80's!?!
That was so awesome to see Matt jump the three at the end. Fantastic video
The best jump tutorial ever!!! Thanks a lot dude,, very good job!! :)
Bro thank you so much for this video. You addressed so many things I'm doing wrong.
Awesome vid man.... def lil inspiring ....thanx for doing what ya do brotha..!!!
Great video by far, thank you for your great teaching techniques is being helpful to me...
That progression was rad! I want to go ride now. Got me fired up!
Thanks for putting this out there 🤘🏻most people charge for this type of training. Cant wait to get out there and hits some jumps using these techniques. Subbed👍🏻
Use to skate when I was a kid… was good and loved every minute of it!!! I’m in Coosada right down the road from WE2 … you are a legend man!!🤘🇺🇸
Barry, GREAT DAM VIDEO GOOD SIR!!!! These kinds of videos are what MORE people need to be viewing. NOT these jumping in 5/10/15 Minutes, in a day, etc. You explain it, IMO, as thoroughly and at the same time, concise as possible. You even detail the why's of the failed attempts to do it correctly. It'll suck as people will look at your video, can't understand or do as you're instructing and go find some other video that teaches them to load the suspension and since they can, think that's jumping. This video is 100% on point. DAM GOOD JOB FOR SURE!!
Really shows the value of good coaching.
Learnt a lot here Barry, good technique and consistency is essential at 48 yrs, I used to bail a lot in the 80s, gunna smoke the doubles at the track when the uk weather warms up 😬
Great. Video. I’m going to watch it again.
Well done Barry! You broke it down well, those two progressed quite fast, impressive coaching..I spy an Arkansas Enduro Series Sticker
How is it this video has been out for 3 years!??! Yeah I'm stoked... I mean nothing against the other videos, I've learned bits and pieces from them all... But this is REAL.
Rather than write a mini novel about how helpful this vid is, I'll just say, I'm grateful I found it, watched it, (and rewatching it) and I'm STOKED!!
❤️🙌👍 Like and subscribe 💪💪
Today I learn a lot how to properly do it. How i wish you could be my couch too. I will keep watching more of your videos bro. So I clicked that subscribe button.
Well done and nicely explained thank you!!!
Great content! Will be practicing this technique on the little table at the pump track!
Dude,, ur a Good teacher ,, viewer from Philippines
Great video guys!
Great stuff mate. Cheers!
I have been extremely frustrated with jumping a BMX bike after spending the past 15yrs+ in motocross flying over 80 footers. Surprisingly all of the techniques seem different/opposite from a dirt bike and my brain is just transitioning slowly. This instruction really seems helpful to correcting my body position, what I'm doing with my pull, etc. Can't wait to get to work but I imagine its still going to take me a while to change my habits. Thanks for this.
Nice content. I really learn from your video. Applying to my Practice tomorrow
Wow what a great video, really explain things well!
great lessons! thanks!
awesome private lesson.. thanks for the video..
This was actually really good.
Thank you for this!!!!
Great tutorial keep it up!!
Great video dude .
this was so well explained
Good stuff man!! Suscribed!! Peace out from Singapore!
Best how to ever.
This is really helpful, thanks. Can you add some details regarding the small line you practiced on? How high are those tabletops, how long, how far between each other? I'd like to build something similar, since in my area there are no pump track available. Thanks again.
Thanks teacher!!! A Lot...
You got me with the kick-out at 9:15 haha
Hi Barry, great how to video! I was wondering if you would do one on speed jumping for bmx racing..
Great video !!
Thanks a lot for this video dude, it helps a lot for me to learn some jump. New subscriber here dude. Godbless and make more some video tutorials.
Thanks man
Good stuff Barry! Can you tell me the radius of the wood lip at the 15 minute mark in this video?
Well impressed by your moto win at Rock Hill when you jumped the berm and got the DQ after smoking the other riders! Good stuff Barry!
This video pretty much addressed my problem of always casing my back wheel on the landing against the lip of the jump. I'm pulling up too early, and not extending my arms fully. Got some work to do!
Great video
Awesome
I can see why my jumping is sht. Handy video.
something that is helping me is find those 2 positions, loaded and extended, then just work on transitioning between those 2 positions and get better at exploding from loaded to extended
might be one of the best videos on how to learn to jump ! awesome
Awesome video, would love to see a similar one for a bmx track. I struggle alot jumping the bmx compared to the MTB
18:30 That’s the Secret Sauce right there! Appreciate it!
Sweet
Good video Bazza.
Is jumping on a 20" at a BMX track the same technique?
Now when you say full extension, and riding the lip you meaning - actually like that manual until you can spot the landing, and then your pilot it down to the ground ... Next time I get out to the jumps I'm really gonna roll the full lips being sure that rear axle is spinning the whole transition. @15:45 looks great - full extension with time for style through the air - I like your mentioning about how the forward momentum will help you to clear the landing! I was having problems fully clearing the last jump of an intermediate tabletop line - and altitude may be the factor. So I'll start working on boosting everything. Thanks for the video!
@@barrynobles95 I have footage of my jumps (From zero to thirty [playlist]) on my channel. I'm letting the rear end of the bike float up to me, but this has me landing parallel to the ground instead of angled with the transition a lot of the time...
Super, merci pour tes conseils.
Français
Good stuff , I could of used this a few years ago.
I wish you was in san antonio so I can attend one of these
Awesome lesson! Where is 95 acres at??
that was awesome..I wish they were using hardtails too..Thanks..
Would have made it easier for them for sure. But was good to show both sides
Heard yelawolf so figured this going be awesome channel
Awesome video. How can I attend one of your clinics out at 95 acres?
Watching from Qatar
When are you coming to Rays mtb and giving me pointers haha!
@barrynobles95 i can boost my jumps some, but I'm afraid of boosting too much and not being able to get the front of the bike turned back down to match the transition. I don't yank my bars. I do extend my arms, but I'm afraid to extend my legs all the way. Thoughts?
Go fast, pull up!
lol I learned to jump from you and my name is also Barry haha
How to Manuel vid plz
Hi Barry. I'm building a practice course at my local high school. Would you mind sending me measurements and dimensions or your first jump line there? I would like to recreate that for my students and community riders.
I have seen a lot of jumping instruction videos on UA-cam. This is by far the best one to me. I would love to get one on one coaching session!
